Best food in Belmont and the surrounding area, period. Everything they serve is delicious, but even if all they served was shawarma, this would still be a five star review. The owner and his son are super pleasant and clearly care about the food they are serving. I come here any time I’m within a 10 mile radius of this place.

Incredible, authentic food! The owner and son were extremely accommodating and very friendly. They were so happy we were pleased with our order. The lamb kabobs were cooked to perfection. Everything was so fresh and home made. It was our first visit, but definitely not our last. I love the fact they deliver.

My new, favorite felafel. Love you guys! Very nice people, too, always a pleasure to go there when I need to get takeout to feed my family.

Always friendly people– great customer service. Food is delicious. Typically get food for pick up once a week or so from this place and have never been disappointed.

It has been a while since I have been here but I went today for lunch and it was awesome. The people that work here are very friendly and the food is fantastic. I ordered the falafal wrap with a side of fries. The falafal wrap was HUGE, delicious and very reasonably priced. Since I last visited Ani’s they added a seated area which is a great addition.

Service: Very friendly, courteous staff. Food: Delicious food, great quantities. I have tried both the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken kabob plate. Both are excellent. The chicken kabob has a slight edge over the chicken shawarma in my opinion. The pilaf is fluffy and flavorful. The hummus and tahini go great with the meat. Ambiance: This small place is mostly catered towards pickup, delivery. There are 3 – 4 tables for dine-in. Summary: Great food, great customer service. They close pretty early(8pm). So plan accordingly. Unfortunately, their delivery fee is $ 15 for the Waltham area. But I don’t mind the drive to pick up the food because it’s totally worth it.

Mediocre food. Chicken and falafel were both dry and the tahini/hummus was nothing to write home about. I used a Groupon so maybe that was why food was sub par.

Had to update my review after my visit yesterday. Not only was the food delicious but the service was exceptional! The staff was very friendly. The food came out quickly and cooked perfectly. I always get the beef kabob dinner and it never disappoints. I was really impressed this time because we were checked on and brought cups of water! They aren’t working for tips and that was really appreciated. Other positive notes: they updated their previously lacking décor! Looks great. They serve their meals in take-out containers for maximum efficiency. They take LevelUp!

I absolutely love this place. Great flavorful clean Mediterranean food. I usually order takeout and would highly recommend the chicken kabob dinner with humus and rice, the kibe and don’t forget the falafel. You can’t go wrong with any of their items. The staff are friendly and willing to accommodate your requests.

This place is really close by to me, and while I haven’t tried a large variety of their dishes, I have to say I really like it. All of the staff there are quite friendly, and the food is consistent no matter who has prepared it. I see the owners working there quite often. If I’m heading in to work around lunch time I mainly order the Shwarma wrap so I can eat it while waiting for the bus. I think I’ve tried one other meal(perhaps the Kibbie?) and it was also delicious. They are closed on Sundays, which has gotten me a couple of times, and they’re not open late enough for me to grab dinner on the way home, but these are truly minor complaints.

Ordered on Foodler. Got a call from the restaurant saying they can’t deliver to us for whatever reason. That’s fine but when we asked for a refund we were told WE have to call Foodler to get a refund. That’s total bull. If you can’t deliver its good customer service to call and let Foodler know. I know this from being a restaurant manager who also used Foodler. ITISNOTTHECUSTOMERSRESPONSIBILITYTOMAKESUREYOUDOYOURJOBANDFOLLOWTHROUGH. Restaurants make YOU call because 1. they’re hoping you forget and they still get paid and 2. so they don’t have to because they’re lazy. No number for foodler was listed so I emailed them and called the restaurant back. Despite being understanding on my end, the guy on the phone got increasingly rude. He would not stop talking and anytime i tried to interject he would talk above me and get louder. I was not upset, and did not raise my voice. I became upset when I was being talked over without being listened to and treated like an idiot, but instead of yelling at some kid on the phone, i thought I’d just give their restaurant an honest review on Unilocal. You don’t have to be condescending to customers. Enjoy this shitty review.

Wow, way to completely turn me against a business. Apparently he now charges 15 bucks to deliver outside of Belmont, no exceptions, even though I border Belmont in Waltham. Was ready to drop a 500 order for my office, with ongoing weekly orders. Owner told me «I don’t care, I don’t care» and hung up on me. Yes, apparently, you don’t care, about customers or making money. Will never spend a dime on this business again, ever.

The owners(father and son) are a great culinary team. They are friendly and holy crap the food is out of this world. I studied abroad in Italy and the donner kebab there was the street(read drunk) food of choice, I miss those forearm sizes tubes of glory. This place is the most comparable to that ideal that I have encountered this side of the pond.

The food here is great and the fries are phenomenal. The best part though, is the service. The guys that work here treat us so well and they’re so sweet every time. I feel like ANI’s deserves an extra star just for that.

The skinny: good quality food great owners clean dining in good lunch prices The full version Middle Eastern food is perfect for how I eat. And I took a shot using Unilocal to check this place out. They had 4.5 stars so why not? It’s easy to park there too. I walk in, the friendly owner greets me. We start talking and I immediately like the guy. I got the falafel plate and enjoyed — the falafel is nice(not oily) and their rice pilaf is very tasty(I like good rice). I don’t eat meat so I can’t address some reviewers’ issues with the meat quality(I would get a dish of their rice if I could;) They have wifi which worked ok, and the dining room is comfortable. It’s family run — they still do a large catering business, which was their start. So you might see relatives working about. Enjoy!

ANI Catering & Café is located on a business block in the midst of a residential neighborhood of Belmont. They do primarily take-out business, but there’s a nice dining space to the side along with facilities(aka bathroom) available for those who would prefer to eat it while it’s hot. Wi-fi is available with a password, but my order came quick enough that I hardly had the chance to use it. The fellow manning the front must have been the owner — his picture is in the take-out menu. He was soft-spoken, patient and friendly enough. The fried food here — such as fries and onion rings — are not made in house, while everything else was. Their veggies looked fresh. I opted for the chicken shawarma dinner $ 10.99 over the chicken kebab dinner $ 10.99 because I was told it was the more flavorful of the two. Ironically, however, I found it too flavorful to my taste. The lamb dinner $ 13.99 arrived as six good sized chunks, though they were a tad tough. Dinners are served with rice or fries or onion rings, humus, tahini sauce or garlic, house salad, pita bread. I went with rice for one and onion rings for the 2nd. The rice was a goodly portion, flavorful and tender. The onion rings large but counted 4 or 5. A thick crisp coating with not enough onion inside. But still, the crunch was rather satisfying. The humus was fine, but the salad quite basic yet overdressed. 3.5 stars

I contacted them about my issues with their food. They Didn’t Care… they never tried to make things right. I was told, we will get back to you. They never did. Also on a side NOTE:.I tried to read my Unilocal Review and it does not come up. I’m beginning to think Unilocal is a FRAUD.

In all ways this place disappointed. I had the burger kabab wrap and my friend had the chicken version of it. Both of them were filling but the problem was getting the food down our throat. It was as dry as the sahara desert and lacked any kind of flavor to the meat. Did they forget the marinating part! May be! The wrap had very little sauce of any kind to cover the meat and lettuce inside it. Totally disappointing. Chocked on twice eating this thing! Not at all worth it!
