Love this place! The pizza is absolutely delicious, it’s crisp it’s chewy its flavorful it’s perfect. Their other dishes are also very good and the service is good too! Highly recommended!

The skinny: Fresh local ingredients when they can get them. House made soups often using ingredients from farmers market out back Tasty bread and bread chips with sandwiches and soups. I usually get a soup and bread or a wrap. Always good. Can get busy at lunch time. Good people working though if it’s busy waiter can be overwhelmed.

Meh. I used to really like the pizza. The one in Porter Square is somewhat better. Every time I visit the Belmont location the cluster of wait staff behind the counter are laughing and appear to be part of an inside joke. I have no problem with people having fun at work but it always appears awkward with these guys. The take-out pizza was okay but they forgot the dipping sauce for the wings. Wth? It’s your job to make sure the order is correct. Maybe there’s too much joking around and not enough focus on service. Doubt I’ll return with all the other tasty options in town. :(

The pizza is great and there are many options for toppings and crust. Often when you call for pickup, though, they either don’t answer at all or the phone rolls into voice mail. This place would be a great asset to Belmont Center if they resolve these service issues.

It’s my favorite pizza in town. I love thin crust pizza and the toppings are very tasty, almost like the European style! Maybe someday they can include on the menu the Flambé or Flammkuchen pizza, made with bacon, red onion and sour cream.

We have eaten at Stone Hearth Pizza in Belmont since they first opened many years ago. As someone with Celiac, I appreciated their delicious gluten-free pizza, although I learned to ask for someone trained in GF protocols when I ordered to make certain that care was taken not to cross-contaminate my food. We hadn’t been to Stone Hearth in a year or so and brought home take out tonight. My GF pizza was awful, I mean really inedible. The crust of my savory pizza tasted like someone had dropped a sugar bowl in the dough, the texture was dry and tough, and there was a thick slick of oil covering the entire top of the pizza. I can also tell already that I’ve been glutened, which I really do not appreciate. It’s NOT ok to make your customers sick! The rest of my family(who do not have Celiac) had a regular pizza, and compared to what we used to get at Stone Hearth, it was just OK. We will not be returning ever again.

Yes! Get to this pizzeria! From someone who rarely gives more than 3 stars and is hard to impress I need to tell you I went in preparing for a mediocre pizza with too much sauce, too much cheese and a slick of oil. Not that the atmosphere felt seedy or grungy; but because the corner pizza place rarely whips me in to a frenzy. NOT the case. The atmosphere felt more like a restaurant, employed a clean open kitchen with a brick over.!The menu was thoughtful and had variety without being overwhelming. The house-made drinks were fresh and tasty, the salads were not overly dressed and allowed the produce to be the stars. The Stromboli wasn’t simply crust wrapped around meat and cheese. They were flavorful and elevated. The ingredients did not vie for dominance and instead worked in harmony. How happily surprised I was that in addition to a quality product, the staff was above average as well. The cups didn’t run empty, not a plate that we had happily cleared was on the table for more than 2 minutes, we were asked without the sense of invasion if our meals were acceptable and the check(a very reasonable check!) was given to us promptly but without a sense of urgency for us to move along. We were not disappointed!

We stumbled upon this little pizzeria in Belmont, and we were surprised by how pleased we were. It was not that we expected anything less, or that the atmosphere evoked a feeling of impending doom, but instead it took us aback at how wonderful it was; a true gem in todays eateries. The atmosphere of this restaurant is nice, warm, and pleasant. It is set up like a pizzeria, but evokes the feeling of a restaurant. An open kitchen, pizza oven, allows you to watch and marvel at the process of creating the great masterpieces that came to our table. This location is open concept, with tables spread out throughout, no booths, but some hightop tables against the wall. The service was quick, efficient, polite, and mindful. We were not doted on, but were checked on at frequent intervals, and our empty plates were taken away, while our server made sure our experience was satisfactory. Service was great! The beer selection was four on tap, but good, local, craft brews. They had a selection of craft bottle beers. The wine was a great selection. They had lemonades, ice teas, and mixtures of such. These were all made there, hand pressed, with wonderful flavors. The lemonades were incredible and they make them there on site. Seriously, they make their own lemonade fresh, not from a powder, the freshness was stunning. The salads were incredible, with the fennel salad, having homemade lemon thyme dressing, which was superb, and the caesar salad was great; the dressing was not overly creamy, and wonderful. The parmesan was freshly hand grated; the salads were wonderful. For the main course, the strombolis were superb. The meat stromboli had flavor, not just meat and cheese, but a mixture of tastes with peppers mixed in with the meat. The chicken and spinach stromboli was phenomenal, and the flavor throughout definitely melded into one beautiful taste. i recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits the area.

We love thin crust pizza and Stone Hearth does a great job. You have a choice of pizza doughs, white, whole wheat, multi grain or gluten free, sauces and tons of fresh toppings. All 100% organic and local with hormone free meats too. Beats greasy pizza for me! They have creative fresh salads with two size choices, stromboli, wraps and panini, all delish! I haven’t tried their pastas or desserts yet — but they look tasty. They also have a freshly made lemonade or something light for the season. Of course there is also beer and wine which is nice. We’ve never had bad service or a bad meal. The restaurant itself is small, seating approx 30 but it’s not a problem. The waitstaff and personnel have always been friendly and accommodating. It’s even fun for the kids to watch their pizza or meals being prepared.

Tried the Farm Fresh Pizza on our first visit here– and was disappointed to find all of the toppings raw(even the prosciutto was cold)! Wouldn’t be too difficult to sauté at least the red peppers and onions for some flavor. The crust was good, however. Atmosphere and service were below average.

The pizza was very good and the service was even better. I like that I was able to choose between different pizza crusts, and there was a lot of variety of pizzas/toppings. Everything seemed very fresh and organic. The best part was the soda, which is made by a local company. I don’t drink much soda but the lemon-lime was great! If I am ever in the area I would go back again.

Had a business lunch there a few days ago. I think the location was chosen more for the parking than for the food, but what the heck… ya gotta eat right? the meeting was after the regular lunch hour, around 1:00PM, the place was moderately busy, but I guess one thing that turned me off was not the food, but the fact that they seemed to only have one server for the whole place and she was running around like a mad-woman. Kudos to her, she had a great attitude which is probably more that I would have had. Anyway, got a table, and we were presented with some worn out menus in some sort of plastic sleeve dealies… maybe it was a good sign that they got a lot of use, but to me, they just looked old and worn out. The tables were a bit too close for comfort and not while we were discussing trade secrets or anything, but I learned much more about my neighbors construction business than I needed to know. On to the food… certainly decent, but not world class… I seem to remember better when I was there awhile ago, One of the orders was a gluten free pizza, and I must say that after being offered a piece,(I chose another entrée for myself), the crust it was way too bland, but I don’t blame the restaurant, just the idea of gluten free dough I guess. The app’s were good, the salads, creative but a bit overpriced, but then it is Belmont… I did not leave hungry Another thing that bothered my dining companion was the tablet dealie for the check, I had left to make a phone call and when I came back they were struggling a bit with the set up… but again, since I did not participate in that experience, I cannot comment All in all… not a bad experience, I took off the stars for the ambiance, not the food. Maybe a better time to visit would be dinner and with a glass or two of wine.

I was really hoping to like this place. I went with my roommate for dinner last night and it just simply wasn’t good. I just got plain cheese pizza, what better way to gauge a place right? It was SO salty and had barely any sauce on it. We also ordered the meatball poppers and they left a lot to be desired. It seems that they put them in the oven to bake upon order with the sauce(just to heat im assuming), but after the meatballs themselves are already cooked which resulted in terribly overcooked and dry meatballs. Overall, I can safely say we will not be back. Surprisingly though, the service was great which warranted the two stars.

I like stone hearth’s pizza alot. thin and hand tossed dough, really yummy toppings, can be healthy like a salad topping, or as mouthwatering as a cheese burger topping. their salads are always fresh and delicious. hearty soups in the winter time, like apply ginger squash soup. hope they stay around for a long time.

Not very impressed. Ordered the Buffalo Chicken pizza. Quality ingredients, but I prefer my Domino’s any day. Also, lots of families there, so if you don’t mind loudness, then you’ll be alright.

My coworker recommended this place to me for dinner last night. I was meeting an old friend that I haven’t seen in over 6 years so we had lots to catch up on. We quickly ordered drinks but took our time to pick something out for dinner. Out waitress was unbelievably rude, each time coming over to ask if we had decided and we would apologize and ask for a few more minutes. She rudely told us that the restaurant was filling up and asked if we were even going to order dinner because we were not allowed to have just drinks. The food was mediocre but the service was the worst I’ve ever had. My friend found a piece of plastic in her wine and when we pointed it out we did not get an apology. Will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone.
