The GETIT Shuttle

I would highly recommend John and GetIt Shuttle. John provided shuttle service following my daughter’s wedding and he was fantastic. He made sure everyone who needed a ride was on the bus and he did so in a fun and friendly manner. He arrived on time, was polite to everyone and transported our guests safely to their destinations. He was even kind enough to take a few stragglers to a local pub for a ‘nightcap’. Easy to work with, responsive and above all professional.

If sunbeams came in a teabag and you could steep a human being in the brew, the sunny personality outcome would be John Flannery. The owner and pilot of the GETIT shuttle, John himself is a a multiplier for the fun had on a shuttle run.
Yesterday my hubby and I and friends visiting from California took John’s creative Art Safari tour of Roundabout Art and Art in Public places and some funky neighborhood «artistes» work in the form of whimsical rock sculptures, intricate metal screens and bright murals on the sides of garages.
The tour takes about two hours, costs only $ 25 per rider, and is not only fun but informative through John’s running narrative. Although my husband and I have been residents in Bend for fifteen years and thought we knew a lot about Bend public art installations, we saw new things and learned new things about the art and community.
We are eager to leave Bend, to be frank, and hoping that will be possible in the not too distant future. But at the end of John’s tour my husband told him with a laugh, «You almost make me want to move here!»
All four of us were laughing out loud at some of the observations John shared and had a delightful time. My husband and I had never taken this Art Safari tourit since we’re locals and it is one of those things that you think might more be a visitor activity. But with visitors in tow, it seemed perfect for a cold May day and it was.
Since there were just four of us on the tour yesterday, he even picked us up and dropped us off at my house. And as always for his shuttle services, John was on time on the dot.
John also provides shuttle for brewery visits, transportation for wedding parties and reunion groups, family events, airport pick ups and… well, I’m sure if you can think of a (legal ;-)) reason for needing a shuttle service, John’s GETIT shuttle can fill the bill.
And as always my PS about accessibility, John’s service is wheelchair accessible for folks who need it. Which I did not yesterday, but at some point I may. Just as some of my friends do now. Perfect to know John’s service makes it possible for everyone to enjoy the fun!
I note there are a bunch of five star reviews for GETIT behind the filter. Including the guy who should have had the rightful FTR. I’d encourage you to read those too because John Flannery’s GETIT shuttle service really is as «all that» as the reviews suggest.

John was awesome! He took a big group of us to all the breweries and was so nice and funny. I would definitely recommend both the Ale Trail and GETIT Shuttle to anyone who is visiting Bend, OR.

John led quite a tour around the amazing breweries of Bend the Thursday before my wedding. We had a huge group and he was able to find another van to accommodate us all. He set up tons of beer tastings for us at each stop, and a lot more food at the last one than we expected from his description of «snacks». The price was well worth it. He also did a wonderful job of driving our wedding party on the day of and was the getaway driver for the ride to the honeymoon suite. Thanks John!
