Starr is FABULOUS with both color & cut. I get bleached out & she does it quickly & with fabulous, clean results. The last haircut she gave me made me look THINNER — I mean how does that work? :) HIGHEST recommendation!!!

I absolutely love Starr! I’ve been going to her for about a year now and she definitely makes my hair look great after every visit! After listening to me describe what I liked and disliked about my cut, and showing her a photo, she worked her magic and not only fixed my funky cut, but created an adorable new look for me. I was both relieved and thrilled and booked my next appointment with Nikki before I left. Besides being an excellent stylist, Nikki is a total sweetheart. I’ve been going to Starr for many years (almost 10, could that be right?!) and I’ve loved every cut I’ve ever had. First, she always listens to what I wants and does it. Over the years I’ve had many hair dressers with their own agendas, but not Starr. Second, she is very talented! Always a good cut and an expert at color. She is always taking classes and learning new techniques and it shows. I can’t wait for my next cut!

I just moved to Benicia and was looking for a hair stylist. I am really scared about going to someone new, but I was desperate so I gave it a chance. And I am so glad I did. Nikki Helms called me back right away and got me in the same day, she spent time talking about what hairstyle would work for me after I told her that I do not want to spend one hour every day to style my hair. I have never had a better haircut after she was done! She even showed me how to style it in different ways for work and fun.

Starr gave me the haircut I have been wanting for 13 years! What a marvelous experience I had last week. Starr knew just wanted I wanted and gave me a mini-​makeover that I needed so badly.
Not only did I get one hair style but I got two. Starr took the time to show me how to style my hair one way and then like magic, she showed me another way that I could wear my hair out on the town or just because I wanted to be playful and sassy. I did not want to wash my hair and I was shocked when I did and was able to do both styles all on my own.
After leaving Bada Bing with new confidence I went to Raley’s and three women stopped to tell me what cute hair I had and where did I go to get that look. My boyfriend of 13 years took one look and said «Wow, I have fallen in love all over again, lets go to dinner so I can show you off.»
If you need your spirits lifted and a hair cut you can love, I highly recommend Starr to take care of you.

The Bada Bing Salon was recommended by a friend. I figured any salon with the name of Bada Bing was the place for me. As a side note it is not like the «club» from the Sopranos.
I checked out the Unilocal reviews and the website and had some trepidation. I am a man and all of the reviews were from women. I paused for a moment and then remembered that most men, including myself, are very lazy when it comes to Unilocaling unless it deals with food or liquor.
I kept my appointment and had the pleasure of meeting Starr. Starr is a very easy person to talk to and she has a great personality. Starr did a fantastic job on my hair. She took her time and asked all of the appropriate questions on how I wanted my hair done. Some of the questions I did not have an answer to, but with my permission, she figured it out. At the end of the day I really love my haircut and had a pleasant time getting my hair done.
I would highly recommend Starr to take care of all of your hair needs.

Starr is the best! A pleasure to talk to and probably the most knowledgable hair dresser I’ve ever visited.
My hair is always a «work in progress» because I change the color pretty often, but Starr knew exactly what to do (and how to work around my previously dyed hair) to help me achieve the final result I was going for. She’s a color expert!
When she asked me about my cut, I told her that I didn’t want to take off any length (I’m trying to grow it out) but needed a little reshaping. She cut off JUST enough to take off all my split ends and clean up my bob but it doesn’t look any shorter! I’ve never received so many compliments on a hair cut, and Starr really respects what YOU want.
Totally worth the money. I can’t recommend Starr enough :)

I was very pleased with my experience at Bada Bing and the excellent service by Stylist Tannika. I came in to pick up and get styled with my custom wig. During the time, I was battling Ovarian Cancer and the embarrassment of my hair loss was overwhelming. I didn’t want anyone to see me in public especially at a hair shop. Upon arriving at the shop, I was greeted by the most friendly staff who made me feel so comfortable. Upon Tannika coming out to receive me, she led me to her station which was very clean and relaxing. She invited me to go to a private area in the shop but I felt comfortable in her immaculate station. Tannika took great care of me as I unveiled my clean shaven head. She fitted and styled the custom wig she created for me. The wig was beautiful and appeared like it was my own hair. I would recommend anyone to Tannika as she pays attention to her customers desires. I enjoyed the care I received and the kindness of everyone in the shop. I would give a 10 star if I could but only 5 stars are allowed.

I was so very happy with my color and hair cut done by Starr. She knew where I should be going. Her recommendations about my hair was just what I wanted. My last stylist did good color but the cut was not that great. This is my next permanent place to go. As many of you know finding a good stylist is hard. 5 stars!

Starr is awesome. Wait, amazing! Whenever I sit in her chair I know that as soon as I get up nothing else matters. You know why? Because she knows exactly what to do with my hair. And it looks fabulous… EVERY time. Not just the boring trim, nor is it too much glam for my style. Just perfect. I have never received more compliments about my hair then when Starr was styling it. And that’s been over a period of almost 10 years while taking some breaks to have children. I’m just saying, if you haven’t booked your appointment yet, you best get on it!

Had my very long hair cut for the first time in over 10 years. I was nervous but wanted something easy, sexy and up to date. Starr was the best. I am so happy because she listened to me. She checked frequently, gave me recommendations and explained why a certain cut would be the best for my face shape and hair. I got to see the new Bada Bing salon this weekend, and wow is it pretty!
I went in 7 months pregnant, and feeling giant, and frumpy, and gross. I left feeling beautiful and full of energy!
Starr transformed my hair this weekend, which I totally needed. I let her cut whatever off, to keep my hair healthy, and she really did outdid herself. I love it Starr! Thank you!!!
