A few things. I have frequented a number of halal meat shops in the NOVA/DC area as well in the NY/NJ area and have cooked a lot of meat. It is unfortunate that this area has only this meat shop as the primary go-to place to get meat because unfortunately it is the WORST quality of meat I have seen in all my years and in every place I have gone to. I have found HAIR in the meat several times in preparing it– which makes me question the cleanliness of where and how they cut it. Of course you can’t even see that because there is a huge counter obstructing your view. The meat you can tell when you prepare it is old and has been sitting out for a while. The chicken breasts I usually order are hard and inedible at times — AND sometimes there is ground chicken in the packaging as well!!! ALSO my greatest pet peeve is that when they hand you the bag with the meat — there is ALWAYSRAWMEAT on the handle of the bags!!! They must be breaking a lot of health codes — not sure why they are still open — other than the fact they currently don’t have much competition. I have endured humiliating customer service from frequenting this place because I had very few options to go to based on where I live — however as a new halal organic place opened up I go there now — but I felt it a moral obligation to let people know about this place. Also just a heads up to Asian Halal Management(if they ever read Unilocal reviews) — believe it or not –customer service is a big deal — learn how to greet and deal with customers — rather than giving them attitude.

Good food. Ridiculous wait times. No customer service. I normally stick to the chicken tikka masala and rice. I’ve also tried the biryanis. The line is absolute chaos if there are people in the shop. The place is small, so the people who order meat are waiting on the same line as the people who order cooked food. I’ve seen people who have ordered meat over the phone hours ago think they can completely skip all of the people currently waiting on line for their cooked food. I have been skipped in line here multiple times. There is no organization, and the woman at the counter is too docile to handle the line issues with tact. She just smiles and does nothing. They don’t give wait times over the phone automatically, but if you ask, plan on adding at least 30 minutes to whatever they say. I’m currently waiting in the shop for a simple food order for 2 people I placed over the phone an hour and ten minutes ago. What’s the point of calling ahead if I have to wait an additional half hour in the store? They’re saying the holdup is the garlic naan? I’m thinking my order was completely forgotten(which has actually happened once before.) This baffles me because they assign your order a pickup number over the phone, but this still doesn’t prevent them from losing orders. The waits are starting to overshadow their good food. I will have to consider if I have the patience to come back. It’s just not worth the work anymore. Update: waited in the store – standing – an extra half hour for that ‘garlic naan’. It took them in total 1 hour and 40 minutes to put an order of chicken, rice, and bread in a bag. Unacceptable.

Thought amazing till today… but when I weighed the meat for the first time by myself after I bought from this place I saw that there was 0.6 pounds less than the weight of meat I ordered and paid for… I had purchased here for more than 20 times and now If I think that I have been cheated for these many times I thought I shld suggest other ppl who frequently visit this place to buy meat shld get weighed in front of shopkeepers before paying for the order.

I’ve always had a good experience with the food ordered from Asian halal. But recently I ordered chicken seekh kabab and some chicken tikka biryani. The seekh kabab had absolutely no salt in it. And the biryani was looking blood red with so much red colour put in it. Plus the chicken in the biryani had some weird smell that made it so difficult to eat. I’ve eaten seekh kabab like thousand times from Asian halal and it was always made well but this time everything was a disaster. Please take care next time.

Best kebabs around this area. I prefer lamb kebab but their chicken kebabs and green chutney are the bees knees. Naan is really good too.

Indian market, had great price on mangos and lots of authentic Indian foods. Full of customers on a Sunday! Pretty good prices. Many fruit and veggies I would have no idea how to eat them.

went there yesterday with my wife and kids and ordered chicken bryani and lamp kabob and tikka masala and what a surprise for this tiny hole in the wall, the food was delicious and fresh and for $ 49 that was alot of food, we ended up with alot of left over but we can always preheat at home, the only downside is i wished they had a place to sit down and eat as they only offer food to go.

Amazing as always! I will be moving away soon and will miss this place the most. Spice Rack is nothing compared to this place. Spice Rack is more or less a ‘fast food’ version of this place. Both are good, but this place truly deserves a visit for pickup food. I love how their Naans are made with the proper stone oven too. every place I go they burn the bottom of the naans, but this place never let me down. Don’t be fooled by this place being only a butcher shop because it isn’t. ONETHING I HATE is that there are TOOMANYPPL there! Even if you order ahead of time, and go to pick up the food, get ready to wait in line. I feel the lines will be out the door soon, they really need a second cashier. If they don’t fix this, it may be their down fall.

Just had this the other day — some goat biryani and some lamb biryani. It was delicious — nice and juicy.

This place is very good. I saw there were a bunch of non-anglo markets in this area and got excited. So I was starving and I was about to pop into the Panera in this shopping center and saw«kabob house» and was thrilled, as I am a lover of kabobs. The food is only available to go. That’s the downside. Fortunately, there’s a yogurt shop next door with tables and chairs and the wife was getting yogurt so I ate my kabob sandwich there. Anyway, the food was just as great as everyone says — fantastic. The meat was juicy and tasty, served with fresh vegetables a tangy sauce with a kick to it, and a delicious and fluffy fried naan. It was more than adequate to satisfy my hunger, and it was like $ 4. They also had a deal on vegetable samosas, so we picked up three of those which were spicy, hot, and scrumptious. Next, time I will order to go when I’m planning on getting food to go. The place itself is very clean and very busy. You got to channel your inner middle easterner/asian to push yourself to the front of the counter. If you’re not assertive, you’re going to wait a while. You enter this little shop and you instantly step into a bazaar on the other side of the world. The meal all looked very fresh and was very reasonably priced. This place isn’t «Asian» the way that most people think of it. Think India/Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Afghanistan, not China/Cambodia/Thailand etc. There are a lot of other great shops in this strip mall, so I definitely recommend coming here.

Asian Halal Meat is the best south east Asian discovery in this part of PA. It’s pretty much of a butcher shop/take out restaurant but man I must admit that the food here is heavenly! We ordered a Chicken Tikka Biriyani, Egg Biriyani, Kabab Masala, Haleem and 4 naans and the order summed up to a mere $ 40 and we walked with a huge to-go bag one rainy evening of April 2014. The aroma of the food was wafting around on the way back home and it was so amazing that we called up the parentals and told them to keep plates ready for dinner lol. We have friends who are die hard fans of this place and we would soon discover why. The meat in the dishes was really fresh and succulent. Flavors were out of this world and we were scared that we’ll pass out with a food coma not just that day but the next two days as well as there was plenty of food left. Highly recommend this place if you love south-east Asian food.

5 stars for take out Indian/Pakistani food at a great value. We have been getting take out from this joint for years and my entire family loves it. We usually order the chicken and lamb kebabs with extra garlic and chilis. They are amazing and everyone seems to love them. The veg. biryani is heavenly and my wife likes the chicken tikka masala. We usually order from this place when we have visitors in town who want non-veg indian food. This place is great for takeout and reasonably priced. Order in advance because everything is cooked to order and it can take some time if your order at the counter.

I’ve been eating at this place for years since it opened up. Since opening, the menu has expanded and the prices have gone up a bit, but the food remains consistently delicious. As an Indian American living in Bensalem for 20 years, I can say with confidence that Asian Halal has the best non-veg Indo Pak food in the area. There’s HUGE turnover with their meats, so everything is always pretty fresh. The kababs are all juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. I’ve never been less than satisfied with any of the delicious curry dishes. Additionally, their rice dishes(biryani) are all quite flavorful. The naan is made fresh to order and never disappoints. Furthermore, the prices are all quite reasonable, especially their lunch specials. $ 7 and some change gets you a huge take out container with 2 curries, a whole naan, a kabab, rice, and a salad. Many of their dishes contain bones, and part of the experience with this kind of cuisine is eating the meat off the bone. But if you’re not into picking apart your food for small but delicious morsels of meat, there are a few dishes that are boneless(chicken tikka, lamb dishes, qeema, etc). In short, what this place lacks in ambiance and frills is made up for with consistently great, authentic Indo-Pak meat dishes. It may be a bit off the beaten path for Indian food in Bensalem, but the food is absolutely delicious.
