Spin Around Entertainment

I hired Spin Around Entertainment to DJ my daughters First Holy Communion this past weekend. Everybody had a great time, as the DJ was GREAT! He kept 35 plus kids entertained for hours. He had a ton of fun games, blow up giveaways, like microphones, Guitars, and Saxophones. Plus the Hula Hoop, Limbo contests and Hot Potato. After reading a few reviews, I was a bit hesitant. I read them all and it looks as if it’s mainly one person who had some friends review the same party and it didn’t seem legitimate. However, I met with the owner to insure that I wasn’t being naïve and he couldn’t have been nicer. The staff arrived 45 minutes early to set up and when people started arriving, they went right to work. It was a great experience at a more than fair price. My wife liked them so much, she felt like we under paid them for the job and tipped them over 30%. I will definitely use them again in the near future. AAA+++

We got a 5-​hour bounce house and 1-​hour character rental (Spiderman) through Groupon for my son’s birthday party, and it pains me to write a bad review because the people I dealt with were super nice. First, the positives: scheduling was easy; the people I spoke to on the phone were very pleasant. The two men (let’s call them Mr. X and Mr. Y) who set up the bounce house in our basement showed up early, and they were very friendly. Also, the bounce house was sturdy and well made. Now, the negatives. The bounce house smelled. So we went inside, and saw that it was filthy. We sprayed the bounce house with natural odor eliminator, and that helped a bit. One of the men who set up the bounce house (Mr. X) had the most awful, sweaty body odor. In fact, I smelled his b.o. as soon as I opened the front door, before he came into our house. After Mr. X and Y set up the bounce house and left, I had to burn a candle to mask the b.o. This would not have been the worst thing, except that Mr. X and Mr. Y came back to the party a couple of hours later. Mr. Y was in a too-​small Spiderman outfit, and Mr. X just followed him around. It was hard to breathe due to Mr. X’s b.o., and I could not understand why Mr. X was there, in street clothes, just following Mr. Y around. We reluctantly took a couple of pictures with Spiderman but found Mr. X’s b.o. to be unbearable. My husband suggested that we ask both Mr. X and Y to leave because we could not bear to subject our guests to the smell. So we asked both Mr. X and Mr. Y to leave within a few minutes of their arrival. They came back after the party to take back the bounce house, and we tipped them fine because they were so nice and polite. But, we wasted the money on the 1-​hour character rental. Note to the company: please make sure that your employees shower before coming to a birthday party. That’s just basic business.

I’m giving this company one star because it seems I can’t give them no stars. This company were suppose to provide a bouncy house and funnel cake along with cotton candy for my nieces 1^st birthday party. The bouncy house was great and the kids loved it but the funnel cake and cotton candy were unsuccessful because NO ONE GOT ANY FUNNEL CAKE OR COTTON CANDY! When the lady came she had her kids with her which is highly unprofessional and the «test» funnel cake that she made her kids ate. The lady left and said she needed to go buy an extension cord but was gone for almost 2 hours! When she finally came back my sister was so fed up with her she told her to leave because the party was basically done. My sister called the lady from the entertainment company and said she wanted a refund and they agreed on $ 100. The party was June 6^th it is now July 8^th the issues we have gone through with these people they have yet to send the refund. We’ve all have contacted them on numerous occasions and they still have not sent the refund! My sister even spoke to the owner and he said he was going to send the refund and it was a lie! This is THE WORST company ever I tried to find them on the Better Business Bureau website but they weren’t even registered so who knows if they are even a legit company. I’m writing this review so everyone knows they never use this company ever for parties because they are HORRIBLE!

I’m giving this company a star rating to be fair but truthfully they don’t deserve anything! This company was to provide a moon bounce, cotton candy and funnel cake machine for my daughter’s birthday. They did provide the moon bounce (hence the 1 star) but when it came to the other items it was ridiculous and unprofessional. First the women (Telijah) showed up earlier than her expected arrival time with SOME KIDS one being a baby. Ok fine my mom and myself was friendly. Btw she was also extremly unprepared. Apparently she made 3 test funnel cakes which she gave 1 to a guest of mine and the others to her kids. Oh BTW that is ALL the funnel cake that my daughters party saw!
When I went home to change she left to get a «cord» but an hour and 45 min later she comes back with no kids and no funnel cake machine. She was about to start the cotton candy when I asked her to leave! After providing some bogus excuse about an accident and that she was there early I knew this is NOT company NO ONE should ever rent from!
The following Monday June 8^th I was promised a full refund for the machines after arguing since in her words she only felt comfortable giving me 50%. Miss your going to give me all my money because you did NOTHING! I digress since then a month now I’ve been chasing this nonexistent refund. She says she mailed it (doubt it) she said she tried to refund my card but it didn’t go through (doubt it). I’ve called and spoken to her 8 times and left messgaes several other times. At this point I WILL be reporting them to the Bettrer Business Bureau and possibly other measures because at this point this is the WORST company I’ve ever dealt with.
