Bias was the 2nd stop on our winery trail as its one of the further ones out. The views were gorgeous and heads up, there are cats that roam the property. They are nice but they are everywhere. There was a separate area for the wine trail people but that didn’t stop their employees from greeting us the moment we walked in and directing us to the area we needed to get to. The server in there explained what we were eating and the wine it was being paired with before seating us to enjoy. She also offered us to go taste their other wines, along with their brewed beers, when we were done. In the tasting area, the super nice guy was suggesting wines and pouring them just as fast. Their brews are good too however its $ 1.50 to taste them. We decided to purchase here as we are a big fruity wine person and their strawberry was to die for.

Will I go back? Doubtful. We decided to try this because it has a micro brewery in addition to the winery. I did not find anything special about this visit. The tasting was not particularly informational and there was a charge to try the beers. The wines and beers were okay. I have had better at other places. I was disappointed that the only beer options was to purchase a growler. I do not like growlers because even though I love bear I don’t drink it fast enough before it goes flat. This is several miles outside of Hermann and a bit hard to find. I would only recommend this if you are looking for a scenic drive.

Sad, thank god for the Groupon, friend bought it, Highway barrels blocked the not finished landscape, 6 people there on a 74 degree Sept, Wine expert didn’t know about the wine they served and quickly have is the wine. I’ve been to Sonoma and know wine.. was sad to share with friends. Had a beer instead of the wine. Staff doesn’t know wine.. went to Röbller nearby, thanks Röbller for saving the day

The Traveling Winers on Missouri Wine Trail Bias Vineyards was one of our favorite wine tasting stops along the way on day two of our Missouri Wine Trail. Carol, one of the owners, took about 2 seconds to size up Tom Joe and handle his humor most appropriately! Good on ya, Carol! We learned the the winery was named after the original owners and 10 years ago was sold to their friends, Carol and Kirk, who now own and run this fun establishment. This winery was the 1st winery in Missouri and the 2nd in the nation to have both a winery and a microbrewery in the same location. Way PERFECT for folks such as our«Hops ‘r Better» Winer, Tom Joe. So surprised that we finally arrived at this gem of a place and he only tasted one microbrew. What’s up with that?! When we make it back to this part of the woods, we will definitely have to come for a return visit and bring some new«winers» with us. This would be an awesome place to meet up! Leave us a comment below and share your experience if you have also visited Bias Winery and Carol and Kirk! The Traveling Winers at The Vineyard Trail

Good Root Beer. Nice variety of beers and wines. Nice remote setting. We had a picnic and enjoyed the MINX cats. Felt really at home. Everyone enjoyed the outing, but didn’t buy.

I don’t much remember my visit to Bias near the end of last summer. I don’t remember trying any wines. I think I may have tried two, but they were not memorable. We did purchase a wine bottle painted with a Cardinals logo from the gift shop. The staff could have been friendlier. Not sure if I’ll be back.

After my visit last year’s horrible experience here, I almost skipped over this winery. To be honest, the only thing that had me go back was I wanted the Missouri Winery Passport stamp. I walked in and immediately got greeted… this was already a step up from last year. The woman was blonde, pretty sure her name was Cindy, and was extremely friendly. I was so surprised by the change of attitude that I found a bottle I thought was best and bought it. It’s amazing how a smiling face and cheerful attitude will make a place brighter and kudos to Cindy. My advice for this winery, keep her around, or make sure anyone else is as positive and cheerful as her.

Ok, so as the other reviewers have pointed out, this is a little hard to get to, since it is up a gravel drive, further away from the other wineries, but the two times I have been here have been super fun. The wines are just ok(they skew towards sweeter, so the whites are better), butt he beer is great! The cream ale, as well as the several dubbles and belgian beers that I tries were tasty(and affordable). Bring your own growler and take some home with you for amazingly affordable prices. Your DD should totally throw down the homemade root beer, it is delicious as well. When we were here in November, they had a fire in the large fireplace in their main room… super cozy. When we were here in May, we were able to enjoy the large patio and the beautiful forest around this small winery and brewery.

In my opinion, not at all what we were hoping for. Sad to say we won’t be back. This place is way off the beaten«wine» trail and given the time it took to get there and the poor quality of the wines, we didn’t find anything to be happy about. The private driveway up to the winery is in terrible condition and is only one lane wide for most it. Parking at the top isn’t very good either. We watched one truck backing out of a space and he did a 5 point turn to try and back out and not hit the telephone pole or the cars parked next to him. Be careful crossing the railroad tracks too, we had to wait for a train.

This is a nice little winery that has a lot of entertainment during the summer. They have a nice selection of wines and have recently added some food. We’ve never eaten there so I cant comment on that aspect.

Third stop on our wine trail, and we won’t be back. The building was run down and dirty. The wine was nothing to write home about. My husband tried the beers that were available(4 of 7 were tapped out, so maybe those were better…), and he said they were sub par and watered down. The woman behind the bar was unwelcoming. It seemed like we were just an annoyance, and I hate going to wineries where it’s obvious that these people are just coming in for another day at work. This place is now just an attraction for toothless locals I guess. And that wasn’t a comment towards all the people in the area. That was literally the types of people there. We have been told that Bias really has gone down hill since being sold by the original owners some time ago. How sad.
