I exchanged many thoughts and concepts with Ruben in his botanica. He even took me and my friend to the market in hopes of finding an Ibeyi statue I most desperately need in my life!
He is ethical, knowledgeable and no nonsense. Highly recommend the experience for those in true faith with Ifa.

disreputable! running a scam! Very unethical, cheated my fiancé in purchasing a tarot deck for me as a gift. Misrepresents his crown and his tradition.

I went to Oya Nike back when it was in the Mission many years ago and I can say that Ruben earned my respect. He runs a good botanica, does good work and is an all around ethical person. I have seen him do very careful, kind work for others and I have never heard him talk ill of others (which can’t be said of others in our community, sadly.) He greets all with kindness and the products he carries are fairly priced for what he has. Always a pleasure to stop in the store.
