Mr Drain Plumbing

The truck that showed up was labeled as Mr Drain Plumbing, but this could be the one based in Fremont: Rescue Response Group. One of their plumbers came a few days ago to clear our plugged kitchen drain. He cleared the drain, but did not attach one of the slip joints, so the drain was leaking a little in the cabinet. A guy came to fix that today, but it turns out that the threading for that slip joint had been ruined (undoubtedly by the previous plumber, cause there was no leaking, even with a totally plugged drain, before the first guy came). So instead of simply wrapping the joint with some of that nifty tape that can stop drain leaks (especially useful when dealing with old pipes) the plumber today spent 2 hours taking a piece off, then commenting how it would not likely go back together right. Then he is wrapping up as if he’s fixed the leak. I check it when he is out returning stuff to his truck; turns out it leaks like a sieve; WAY worse than when he started. When I pointed this out he blames it on the old plumbing, although it looks like he didn’t even use Teflon tape when he put the new bit of pipe in. So now, in addition to a drain that is leaking so bad I cannot use my sink, I have a filthy mess left in my kitchen.
This is further info: the drain backed up again already, so even the work done by the first guy was not effective. And the guy, Sean, who showed up the second time and left a leaky drain came today, and when he said he was done he’d left a total wet mess under my sink. And handed me a contract/​bill to sign for another $ 300+ Just say no to Rescue Response Group
