Seems like everything is made in China! No thanks. I don’t need overpriced junk made in China. I am sure I can get a card made locally for the same price. And everything is covered in sequins and glitter. It made it hard to recycle. This is a bad place to get a card. Go across the street to the stationery store. They have lovely card made in the USA.

I came in yesterday after a workout to inquire about wedding invitations. Needless to say, I wasn’t looking too fancy. I am also a women of color. The person at the counter said that their invitations were«pretty expensive» and basically deterred me from even looking at samples. I left with a horrible feeling of being discriminated against and will NEVER return to this place.

I love Papyrus, as I can always find a card to fit everyones personality/circumstance. I send my grandmother, who is legally blind, cards for all holidays(including the fake ones). Papyrus always has a bold, large print card with words on the front that can be easily seen, but also raised so she can feel them. Perfect!

Must everything be made in China?! I am sort of ok with cards that are $ 4.95 and up BUTNOT if they are made in China?! Nope that ain’t ok with me, for that price surely we can make them locally. Can’t we? Am I wrong? Ditto mugs and other fun little gift items. Local I am all for higher priced, made in China, possible lead in my mug, no thanks! I’m just sayin’.

In the end, my husband and I decided to have the Mercurio Brothers print our wedding stationery with a custom design, but we had a really positive experience here looking through their stationery books. Even though we sat on the floor, they had so many different books to look through. We had been to two other stores, and they had all of the other stores’ books PLUS about another 50%. They also left us alone and were patient with us, unlike the former Papyrus on Lakeshore(now«Surprise»), who rushed us. My only suggestion is to bring post-it notes so when you flip through the books, you can mark your pages and come back.

I love this location. Beautiful cards and fun gift ideas, from cocktail rings to cool pencils. I wandered in today looking for some stickers and didn’t find quite what I needed. However, Raquel kindly referred me to another Elmwood shop with a larger sticker selection. A+ customer service!

I love how nice the staff are here. They never hassle me and just leave me to browse and take my sweet time. But if I ever do need help they’re easily accessible. I think they have a cute selection of products — they definitely need to expand their line of notecards.

I am a dedicated papyrus shopper — and now I shop at the one near me in Center City Philadelphia, but when I lived in Berkeley(and was on a much lower collegiate budget) I would gape in here all the time. Never bought much unless it was on sale, but wow — some great stationar, cards and gifts are to be found here.

I love photography and Papyrus almost always have cards and postcards that have great pictures on it. The staffs are also helpful and willing to go the extra mile to help you out. Whenever I need a card, Papyrus in Berkeley is my 1st stop.
