Meeting Rudy at an open house was one of the best things that happened to me and my husband when we first started to look for a house in the East Bay. We were moving with our small kids from across the country and the house search from so far away was incredibly overwhelming. Rudy went above and beyond for us over and over again. He vetted countless properties and did video tours of the ones he thought we would like since we couldn’t see them in person. And then, on the two in-person house hunting trips we made, he spent days on end with us, touring house after house, all the while giving us sound advice and pointing out the positives and negatives of each property. He was able to gauge our tastes and what was important to us, from schools to layout to neighborhood. When we found a great house and decided to offer on it, he guided us through each step the process, making the whole stressful thing much, much easier with his calm demeanor and sound advice.(My husband jokes that he is part realtor, part therapist.) And there’s more — since we didn’t move from the East Coast for a few weeks after we closed, Rudy went and watered plants, checked on the house, and made sure everything was ready for our arrival at our new home. Even though I hope we stay in this house forever, if we ever do move, we will be calling Rudy first thing — to sell our house and to find us a new one. There’s no one better and we have him to thank for ending up in a house we love so much.
