I ate here many time and last time I was here about two months ago. The service was good and friendly waiters. I notice the prices are going up a bit but as long as they maintain the flavors, I don’t mind. Lots of choices. I love their Beef Noodle Soup and Pad Sea Ew.

Thai Noodle was a really comfortable-feeling place to eat(I visited several times in 2015), and I am sorry to learn that they have closed. Shattuck Avenue is NOT cheap eats. This was at least a reasonable alternative to some of the places for which you have to take out a loan before going there.

We just finished a graduation at UC Berkeley and everyone wanted to get a bite. Thai Noodle was open until 1:30AM, but after eating their food I would come back anytime. Love this place and would without a doubt come back.

Paid $ 9.00 for extremely greasy rice and bland chicken… It’s good because it’s open late, but don’t bother getting your money’s worth /getting anything satisfying. Very disappointed

Was looking for a late night dinner around midnight so I randomly found this place on Unilocal.Went with the pad thai. Delicious, great value, and fast service(5 – 10 min)

This place has become such a a rip-off recently. I was always shocked by the bill when I compared to the tiny portion of food I got. Today I ordered the basil eggplant with shrimp(no rice), I was so surprised that the food barely filled 1⁄3 of my to-go box and I got charged $ 11.99FORTHIS?!

Any place that makes a delicious pumpkin curry has my gratitude and Thai Noodle certainly does. Their dishes manage to be hearty yet light and this makes for a very satisfying meal. Affordable and vegetarian-friendly! You can substitute meat out for tofu or, in my case, they were very accommodating about my request for all-vegetable curry. In this spot near the college where students and people getting out of work late congregate, I think a lot of us appreciate that they’re open til 1:30am. On my last trip, my order cost more than what their online menu stated and they gave me a smaller take-out portion than what they normally provide, so I hope they’ll get that straightened out.(I decided not to mention the difference and just asked them to switch out my white rice for brown rice instead, which they kindly did.) The restaurant can be a bit chilly, too, so bring extra layers on cold days. Otherwise, it’s all good and I’ll definitely keep returning.

Thai Noodle gets points for being open late in the Berkeley area. My friends and I were driving to SF from Oakland and stopped by Berkeley for a late bite to eat. We stopped by Thai Noodle, with its decent ratings and since it was open late night(and my friend is a sucker for Thai food). The four of us sat down at about 11 p.m. — the place was about half full. The service was quick and efficient. They were fast in taking our order and giving us water. I drink a lot of water so I definitely appreciate it when my water cup is never empty. As for the food, it was nothing spectacular. I ordered one of the curries and found it to be a little subpar. It appeared to have a lot of oil on top but overall, tasted decent. This would be a 4 star place except for the food, which is just about 3 stars. Food is average, service is great, extra points for being open late. Stop by if you’re in the area and looking for a filling, quick bite to eat!

Love it here! Always order the same thing ! Fried chicken over fried rice and the basil eggplant with Thai ice tea. I always order to go and usually only takes 10mins. Very fast service and good food. I only wish they offered a lunch special. But overall I am never disappointed

Ok, between this place and Lers Ros, the Bay Area has got me covered for Thai food. I absolutely love Thai food, and I usually judge each place on the most popular Thai dishes — pad thai and pad kee mao(drunken noodles). If you do those two well, then I’m totally sold. So this place is a little different than Lers Ros. Lers Ros is definitely more expensive, with more sophisticated presentation and décor. Thai Noodle is cheaper, and more of a take-out Thai sort of place. They’re totally different types of Thai places, and they fill different holes in my heart when I’m craving Thai. This place provides pretty good food at a very decent price, and the portions are very generous. Here’s what I’ve sampled here so far(I honestly haven’t had a bad dish yet). — Spring Rolls: This is the biggest portion of spring rolls I’ve ever seen. Usually places just give you four. At Thai noodle, they give you EIGHT. It’s definitely enough to split between four people as an appetizer. And it’s always good because they clearly use fresh ingredients. — Pad Thai: This is definitely my go-to dish because they do it so well here. You can see the kitchen from your seat usually, and you can tell they make it fresh and then serve it to you hot and fresh. It’s the only place I’ve ever been to that gives you shrimp, chicken, AND tofu in your pad thai without making you pay extra. $ 9 for pad thai with ALLTHREETHINGS? Yes, please! — Pad Kee Mao: I’m a fan of this dish too. I think they might call it something slightly different on the menu, but this is a dish known for its spiciness and basil flavor. — Lump Fried Rice: This is crab fried rice. They DONOT skimp on the crab. It’s really delicious and a giant portion. It’s not imitation crab either. $ 12.95 for a generous portion of crab on my fried rice? Yes, please! Note that this is one of their specials and not on their fixed menu, so might not be around all the time. — Duck Fried Rice: This is also really delicious and a giant portion. If you’re coming with a friend and you really love fried rice, maybe split the duck fried rice and the lump fried rice. I see a lot of people get the boat noodles too, so I feel like that’s definitely a favorite here. I’ve never tried them yet even though I’ve been here many times — because I like their other dishes so much I keep getting them. I don’t understand why this place isn’t more heavily frequented/more highly rated. It’s such a good Thai place. Also, the service is generally pretty good. The servers are usually pretty nice, but there is one server who we encountered who doesn’t seem to like his job and was pretty surly. I’m not sure how often he works, because I’ve only seen him once. But someone should tell him to stop being so surly!

Thai Noodle has the advantage when you are looking for late night eats in downtown Berkeley — it’s close to campus(if you’re leaving a concert) and it’s open late. It also has Food That Is Not Pizza. At 11pm, those fluourescent lights are glaringly bright — this is a place to be awake, social and eat your food! There is table service and passable bathrooms. The food is tasty and inexpensive — but not exceedingly memorable as the best Thai you’ll have. As I’ve said in other reviews — Thai food is pretty consistent in the Bay Area, and this is about average. There are healthy choices on the menu — you don’t have to get fried items(but where’s the fun in that?). I may be back some late night in the future, look out Thai Noodle!

Pad Thai was great, a little sweet and very light on the shrimp Duck fat curry was also tasty and a great idea, but a lot of the duck fat was really«blobby» — it seemed like crispy Chinese duck that was tossed in there and the texture changed in an unfortunate way.

Open late. Great food. Great service! I work in Berkeley, and by the time I get off, there aren’t many options for late night eats in the area. Thai Noooodle is open until 1AM, so I frequent here after I get off from closing the bar and am absolutely starving. A few favorites– Fried calamari and fried tofu — served with sweet chili sauce, and you gotta add the table side red pepper flakes and crushed peanuts Red curry with chicken — my favorite Drunken noooooodle — get it extra spicy! Larb salad — not typical larb, it’s served over mixed greens, but it’s still delicious Chicken satay — BOMB peanut sauce! And I can’t recall the name, but my boyfriend loves the seafood noodle soup in the hot pink broth! Love this place!

This place is open late night. The staff is very friendly and its affordable. The food is okay. Since coming back from L.A. i been craving thai boat noodle(im on the hunt for some good authentic boat noodle) i never knew of sound mind that this place had thai boat noodle so, i tried it tonight. Lets just say it not satisfy my craving for it. The broth is sweet and watery but, the meats that come in this dish was delicious and soft. But it’s all about the broth and this didnt cut it and it kind of tasted like a packaged base soup mix. Our other order was the duck salad with house special lime sauce(its just lime and tamarind) wasn’t my favorite and i dont really suggest. The typical thai dishes like padkeemao, pad see ew pad thai and such that majority of the thai cafes are known for are up to par though.

This is a legit Thai eatery run by Thai people. My coworkers and I had lunch there on a Tuesday afternoon. It was a little crowded, but we were able to get a table. I had the Thai iced tea and Pad Thai. The iced tea was good, perhaps a little on the sweet side. The Pad Thai was good as well. The sauce they used was a little thick and sticky, but that kept the noodles together. One of my fellow diners said that her rice tasted a little dried out, while another complained that his portion size was a little small. My meal was fine, probably warranting a 3.5 if I had the power to rate it 3.5(listen up Unilocal). Overall, a good place for lunch with a casual ambience.

My friend brought me here for dinner before we headed out to a Warriors game. I was a little nervous going to a sit down place because of our time constraint. This Thai spot was quick, very tasty, and affordable — a winning combination. My friend knows the chef, but told me it was his day off. He ordered noodles w chicken, and I ordered Green curry w jasmine rice. From the time we ordered to receiving was about 5 – 7 minutes. The curry was spicy and delicious while the rice was sticky and appeared to have some small amount of garlic that gave it a good perfumed quality. We really enjoyed the food, and it came out to be under $ 20. I will be back to try new dishes, and provide a review update.

A friend from church highly recommended this place. I went for a late lunch. They were open from 11am-1am daily according to the sign on the door. There was a Spicy Tray on the table with various peppers and chopped peanuts. That just made me want to order some Pad Thai and add extra peanuts. I ordered the Shrimp Salad Thai Hot and a Thai Iced Tea. The Thai Iced Tea came out already mixed which I didn’t care for. The Shrimp Salad had 6 shrimp with the tails on placed on mixed greens. The dressing wasn’t too sweet. The were 2 wedges of tomato and whole cashews. The salad was nicely spiced. The food was decent and reasonably priced. They accept credit cards for bills over $ 10. The server actually wrote in Thai. I paid the bill and headed toward the bathroom. The server directed me toward the back of the kitchen. The floor was slippery and there was unchopped food all over the place. I felt awkward walking through the kitchen. I just wish I hadn’t seen the kitchen.
