One Price Optical

I was very pleased with the way the folks at One Price Optical treated me. The were able to remove lenses from a pair of vintage RayBan sunglasses I had saved for many years and produce new prescription lenses for the frames. I had wanted them in time for my birthday, and they made it happen, despite the additional effort that was required on their part. Their prices are fair and they are knowledgeable and patient. I highly recommend One Price Optical.

Brought in my new Wal-​Mart prescription — got one pair of progressives the next day and two more progressives– one with anti-​glare Teflon coating and the other a Transitional — in about a week — all for $ 660 — the same price I paid for a single pair of bare-​bones progressives from LensCrafters in the mall! The no-​fringe prices would have been only $ 99 each but the rush service on the first pair plus a Transitional and an anti-​glare pair each had additional costs and I still got the best deal by far compared with any other dealer in the desert that I know of. They have a good selection of frames, too. They make most of the lenses in-​house and take much less mark-​up on frames than most stores and One Price is family owned and operated. I’d just wish I would have discovered One Price Optical 5 years ago — Id have saved over $ 1,500 by now!

I am really impressed with the owners of this Establishment. Phil was extremely helpful and patient with me. I was able to bring them my prescription and was excited to see the many choices in frames they offered. Their prices are the best in the desert and I consider them to be an asset to our community!

Looking for a pair of eyeglasses, but don’t want to spend hundreds? I can recommend One Price Optical. Small shop, park right in front, not crowded, attentive service. Bought a pair of glasses with ‘progressive’ lenses, two months ago. I picked out the frame (from among dozens of varieties), handed them the prescription I got at Walmart optician, paid $ 99 all-​in, and picked up my glasses five days later in a hardshell case. They work just fine two months later. Just went back and bought a second pair — just picked out a different style frame, and since they had my prescription on file, all I had to do was pay $ 99 and pick them up four days later…
I was referred to One Price Optical by my mother. She’s bought two pairs there. One pair she stepped on and smashed, mailed it back to them, they repaired them and mailed the fixed glasses back to her — no charge at all!

One Price Optical is the BEST! I recently purchased two new pair of glasses along with two other family members and we were all extremely happy with the quality of our frames, lenses and the wonderful customer service from this family owned business. And did I mention the cost? Their prices can’t be beat. They are trained professionals that know what they are doing and go out of their way to ensure their customers are happy. I will never buy glasses any where else!

ONE PRICE OPTICAL in Bermuda Dunes is the ‘Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmare’ of Optical services. I ordered glasses to be made from my prescription there. I am very sorry that I did. I DO NOT recommend this operation. It is the worst service company I have dealt with ever and except for the owner’s quite helpful wife and son, has the worst most appalling customer service. I had to go back six times for three failed fix attempts before finally being refused satisfaction to correct their messed up job. I paid nearly $ 400 for glasses that I cannot see through properly. Unsatisfied, I went to Lense Crafters (go there instead people) to test the glasses ONE PRICE made to verify that what I suspected was true: The job they did at One Price Optical was badly botched; the prescription way off. What’s worse is that the owner deflected, obfuscated, lied and finally bullied me out of his store when I brought what Lense Crafters confirmed to his attention. INCOMPETENT OPERATION. In addition, they promised me 24 hour delivery and failed at that too. I had to come back two times to finally get them after they told me to come on down — that they would be ready. When I finally tried on the glasses they made I told the rude, imposing, overbearing, sweaty grinch of an owner Phil that they weren’t right; that I couldn’t focus, and to that he told me that I need to get used to the glasses. That it would take a few days before I could see right??? I also sat there and heard him telling another dissatisfied customer there the same BS story. But since he was so insistent and I had a wedding to go to and plane to catch, I reluctantly agreed and went off hoping he was right. He was WRONG.
So, If I was like Chef Ramsey for a day and was hired to give ONE PRICE OPTICAL some good advice, I would tell them to get the socially challenged and incompetent owner Phil out of the reception and fitting area and keep him sequestered in back and always away from customers. (You are scaring the customers PHIL!) Oh and get someone competent to run your «expensive machinery.»
I think this place sucks and it has been a total waste of my money and time. Very disappointed. DON’T GO THERE!!! NO selection — poor service — no integrity.

I have been going to Phil for years. You can not beat the prices. Last time I went to One Price optical was about three years ago. I got 2 pairs of glasses and a pair of sunglasses for $ 300. This would have cost me $ 800-​$ 1000 anywhere else. I just went there again today to have a pair of sunglasses per scripted and a regular pair of glass for $ 227. There prices have not change in 16 years. For friendly service, honest service, speedy service, and affordable service, come here. You will not be disappointed, EVER!!!

They made me a pair of glasses for golf. Great glasses and good price. Excellent customer service from Phil. I highly recommend them.

My husband dropped his glasses on a trip to Palm Desert. They broke in half. He had no other pair. We were directed to One Price Optical by another optician who could not repair the glasses. One Price owned and run by Debbie and Phil, met and surpassed our expectations. Husband bought new fames, had the newest prescription faxed down to One Price and in 2 hours he was wearing his new pair. All for $ 268.00. He left a second pair of frames and new lenses were put in. Cost? $ 99.00. Amazing place with amazing owners. Sent our friends over the next day and they were thrilled as well. Thanks Debbie and Phil, for a great vacation!
