Such a find! Everything we had was great. I had a garden salad with a scoop of roasted chicken salad, which does nt sound exciting, but it was. Clean flavors, quality ingredients and simply the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. I also split the corn chowder and biscuit special with my husband. It hit the spot. He had the fried haddock sandwich — no tartar or coleslaw but with an added slice of cheddar — and the house made chips. Deep frying is an art — and they get it. The chips were crispy and the fish crunchy — neither were greasy and both had the right amount of salt. The quality frying and flavor carried through on the huge chicken tender meal we ordered for my daughter. She ate half and asked that we bring the rest home for her lunch tomorrow. My very picky son said the burger was«ok» and the fries were over cooked — but neither his father nor I found anything to complain about. On the way out we noticed the baked goods — and discovered the breads were all baked in house. The waitress was friendly and the man behind the counter(owner?) was so welcoming. We were heading out for the long drive back to boston and, as they were closing for the day, he offered us free coffee and a cookie for the road.

Great friendly service. Nice place to have breakfast /lunch /ice cream with family. Food good — french fries delicious. I thought I would like my burger better but it was just okay. Not bad — just not what I expected after seeing the glowingly positive reviews(I thought I would have died and gone to heaven — which a perfect burger can do sometimes). My son loved his home fries and sausage. Made with care and love(seriously). We didn’t try the ice cream but people were stopping by for pints to bring home so it’s got to be great. Recommended for a nice, easy lunch at a great price.

Absolutely delicious and great quantities. The quality of the food was superb. We were served by a true Yankee gentleman, very personable and he even offered each of us a cinnamon bun at the end of our meal. Unfortunately we were too full and had to make do with sharing a single bun! Well worth the visit.

Veggie Benny is my favorite. But pancakes, and the egg scramble(you pick what goes into it) are a close second. They source local ingredients when they can, yet still keep the prices affordable. Locally owned, this is the best breakfast spot in Bethel. Worth the(very short) drive outside of town. Kid friendly, with puzzles, books and toys for kids to use while your food is being cooked. We always feel welcome bringing our 2-year old here. Winter hours are 6am-2pm, but in the summer, they have Giffords ice cream and are open until 9pm!

Delicious locally sourced breakfast. It should probably cost twice as much for the quality of the food. You can’t go wrong here.

Good quality breakfast made from scratch! Eggs Benny, homemade hash, homemade sausage — all cooked perfectly! And just a short drive from Sunday River

Definitely the best breakfast in Bethel! An underrated location frequented by locals, service is always good as is the food. Not as crowded as the other hyped place in town but thats ok because every aspect of the food is better. Prices are reasonable for breakfast and the house made sausage is amazing. Hash and muffins are also homemade and wonderful. With any luck it won’t get completely overrun by flatlanders :)

Food prepared with care and thoughtfulness, much of it locally produced. They’re willing to cook up something special if you don’t see what you want on the menu. The biscuits and gravy are outstanding. They make the sausage right there and it is mouthwatering.
