I can tell these people have seen him a while ago. I find that he is very short with patients. He will not explain much to you, and seems to just try to push you out the door. If you’re sick and vomiting and need some medicine called in, be prepared to spend at least the next 4+ hours vomiting and miserable before you can any response. The only reason he got one star is because his office staff is great.

Dr. Duke may be one of the best internists I have seen in the DC area– and I have been here a number of years and seen a number of practitioners. His entire staff was cordial, efficient and highly professional. Other commentators mentioned Dr. Duke was taciturn, but I found him to ask all the necessary medically relevant questions and to listen thoroughly as I listed all my symptoms. I was able to get an early morning appointment and most importantly, I was in and out in under 20 minutes– amazingly efficient!!! What a well run practice!
