Poorest martial arts gym I’ve seen. Instruction is subpar and undertones of racism. I won’t be allowing my children to come back to this horrid place.

My kids have attended Coles Martial Arts since shortly before the studio launched. They had been students of DC Martial Arts but became disenchanted with the quality of instruction and, thus, followed Master Coles to his new studio. In a word, Coles Martial Arts is fantastic. Master Coles teaches every class himself rather than delegating the hard word to less experienced instructors. The lessons taught and learned extend well beyond martial arts — these are life lessons that have had a noticeable impact on the lives of my kids.

Coles Martial Arts Academy is a great place for kids and adults to learn Tae-Kwon-Do. You will also learn discipline, confidence, and self defense. Master Coles personally teaches each class and he doesn’t miss anything. If you are struggling and make errors, he is sure to notice and will point it out to you — and he will help you correct those mistakes. He has very high standards and instills those standards in his students. More importantly he sets the expectation in each student that he/she is able to achieve those high standards. He is the best that the best can be.
