Wonderful Meal, Exceptional Service, Great at Hosting our Event. Our family stayed at the Marriott Bethesda North Hotel and this wonderful restaurant is located there. We had never eaten there since most of us live out of state. We were all blown away by their wonderful job of hosting a milestone birthday for our mom. Several months before the event, Alonzo Brown began working with me on creating a special, smaller menu we would offer our guests. He helped us develop the perfect selections and offered us a rate that seemed a good value. He was extremely patient with my many questions. When we arrived, he had printed special, beautiful menus just for the event. They sectioned off a part of the restaurant for our party and it looked festive and beautiful. We had several people with food allergies. Executive Chef Germaine Haro was as gracious and helpful as Alonzo in working with all of our guests’ needs. Manager Gladys Cruz did a wonderful job of orchestrating the luncheon and overseeing her exceptional wait staff. Beyond the wonderful service, the food was absolutely sensational. There are several picky eaters among our group, and everyone thought the meal was outstanding. While I thought the price seemed reasonable before we’d eaten there, after having received such fine service and food — we thought it was a bargain. Many of us came back that evening for dinner as well. With many thanks to this extraordinary team. We look forward to coming back.

Nicely appointed restaurant in the Marriott hotel. Food was spotty, some really excellent things mixed with mediocrity. The crab and corn chowder would have been fabulous if it were hot, but it was room temperature with some cold spots. The crab cake was delicious, real Maryland style with no breading, but the sweet potato fries were room temperature. The hamburger was good. The chocolate bread pudding was served warm but not as good as I’d hoped. So really a mixed bag. If you’re at the hotel it’s convenient, otherwise don’t bother.

For hotel food, the Maryland crab cakes were a pleasant surprise with good flavor, texture, perfectly cooked with a spicy taste. I am very pleased I didn’t have to go elsewhere for my crab cakes superb. And the crab and roasted corn soup is as recommended, really good.

Crab & corn chowder was amazing and the classic club was so so. Friendly service and pretty prompt too.

A solid hotel restaurant, I actually stay at this hotel because I know I can get a decent dinner without having to go out after work. I’ve dined here several times and had salads, burgers, crab chowder and the crab cakes. All food has been tasty and service is attentive but not overwhelming.

Staying at the hotel I had bkfst here and altho pricey, was tasty. I tried the«broken yolk egg sandwich» that is served on toasted sourdough bread and it was quite good, and an ample serving. In fact, I could eat only half! Came back for lunch(usually I am more adventurous than this but today is cold and I don’t have a car). Had crab and corn chowder that was real good, and a club sandwich that was average.

Came here for dinner with my GF. Service was really slow, although friendly enough. They brought us bread while we waited. We both ordered the Meritage burger, both medium rare. Mine came out as ordered. Hers came out almost well done; barely any pink visible in the center. I had the slaw as my side; it was actually quite good – flavorful, and not too dry. Her fries were average, at best. The manager made the rounds and I did mention to him that they appeared short-staffed. He offered something to make up for it, but I declined – I just wanted him to know that service needed to be improved a bit.

Been here multiple times for breakfast and for lunch. Breakfast is great, some of the best hash browns I have ever had. Lunch in the bar area is even better. Food always comes out perfect, and on top of that the service for lunch is phenomenal. It is truly some of the best service I have ever gotten!

I’ve been here on and off for years and the food has always been great. It’s a shame more people don’t come around here often. Most recently, I came for lunch with my fiancé and the waiter(Arminand?) greeted us warmly. We asked for bread and even though it’s normally reserved for dinner, he provided us with fresh biscuits and butter that we munched on while waiting for our meals. I had the filet mignon and my fiancé had the Marriott burger. Now here’s where the best part comes in. I foolishly ordered a medium-well done steak, thinking that I didn’t want it too overdone(even though I always like my steak well done) and our waiter was not only kind of to ask if my steak was cooked how I liked it, but INSISTED on taking it back to let it cook more even though I’d already cut it into several pieces. Needless to say, it came back PERFECTLY. We also ordered the cinnamon bun dessert with vanilla ice cream and it was delicious! Overall the experience was wonderful not only because of the food, but most certainly because of our amazing waiter!

This is a really old menu. They no longer have ribs on the menu. I liked the crispy flakes put on top of the pork chop; that added a flavor that I enjoyed.

Nothing special. An expensive suburban hotel restaurant for those dining on an expense account(just like I was). Service was unremarkable, food was fresh and hot but not dazzling. My co-workers had shockingly expensive wine but I stuck to Diet Coke. Not a lot of gluten-free options but there’s always a steak and potato on the menu…

Staying at this hotel on business. I ate here for dinner the night I arrived and brunch the next day. For dinner I had a glass of the house red, a cup of soup, and sauteed green beans. Brunch was their Sunday Buffet, which had just about any sort of brunch food you could imagine — I opted for some cheese blintzes, potato pancakes, shrimp, lobster, & fruit; the woman at the chocolate fountain bar said it was delicious, but I was enjoying my blintzes too much to eat anything else sweet. They had a variety of traditional breakfast foods too(eggs, meats, potatoes, pastries, made to order omelets & waffles). The wine was delicious. The blintzes were yummy. The soup was disappointing; it was advertised as corn & crab chowder, but all I tasted was corn & potato. The green beans were fresh. The complementary bruchetta was choc full of garlic, & I enjoyed that very much. In short, one of the better touristy restaurants in the area.

Here on business. Not bad for a hotel restaurant. Skip the Fish and Chips, they’re overdone and the fish are barely above frozen fish sticks. The specials are pretty good. I had both the New York strip and the Sea Bass. They were done and served well. Service is OK. Bar is expensive but service by John is very good.

I had the Sunday Brunch Buffet here. well, it’s only 25 dollars per head… so for a hotel brunch, it seems quite inexpensive. But the old adage«you get what you pay for…» holds true here. It’s quite average for a sunday brunch place. we came there somewhat late, so the stuff was probably pretty old, but the food just wasn’t that great. It was definitely acceptable, but it wasn’t what i would consider gourmet. That being said, this is not a luxury joint, so you can’t expect a luxury buffet. The hotel itself is actually a lot nicer than the sunday brunch was. Also, the employees seemed more ghetto and unkempt here than at finer establishments. Kinda like you were in a chevy’s or friday’s or something, but heck, you’re only paying 25 bucks. On the upside, there is actually quite a good variety of food stuffs. there is even a chocolate fondue fountain to cover your strawberries and other fruits. The meat at the cutting bar was decent as well, but over cooked. For the best experience, you should probably arrive at 11 when this place opens, that way, you can get the freshest food they have. Oh. you could tell the shrimp was sitting out for a while, and while they did have lobster claws, they were hard to eat because they didn’t provide lobster/crab forks. All in all, I would probably come here from time to time.

I went here for the first time on Tuesday night to catch up with a college buddy. We came for drinks and dinner at the hotel restaurant. First, the service here is excellent. We were seated right away, were brought menus and complementary nuts. The server even gave us a break on drinks, as she let us use the happy hour price even though we had just missed it. We also were served a second round of complimentary drinks, even though we were still working on our first ones. Food wasn’t too bad, as I had a chicken sandwhich and fries-not bad for the price. Stella is on tap also, so I was pretty happy to have that available. Again, the service is great… after my buddy complimented them, they even gave us a 15% discount card to use for the future. Amazing!!!

Nice little surprise of a hotel restaurant in this Marriott. Supposedly, they just got the best chef of the entire Marriott chain to take over this place and it shows. Food is really well-prepared and they have a good lunch buffet. Desserts are fabulous and dense. If this is going to be the only restaurant in this hotel, it’s a good one. Too bad it’s not 24⁄7 though.
