Very fun and fast. A bit expensive but well worth it. I think this is a great place to eat and all workers are nice.

I can’t believe it took me so long to try &pizza! I’m very picky about pizza(I’ll forever be a New Yorker) and this place exceeded my expectations. I love the Chipotle style concept(which seems to be becoming all the rage), and it really works here. You can’t beat creating your own pizza with nearly unlimited toppings for the flat rate of $ 9 and change. I like the standard sizes(which serve 2 not very hungry people or one very hungry person). There’s a huge number of options but not too many that it’s overwhelming. I was really pleased with the flavor, crust and combination of toppings. This particular location is pretty small with limited seating, but it serves it’s purpose. Can’t wait to go back and try another combination!

I love &pizza. Stopped by this particular location and I had a pleasant experience! There’s a public garage and I believe the first two hours are free? Fresh ingredients, super friendly staff, clean environment. Soda was pretty good! You can’t go wrong with &pizza! If you’re a frequent customer, i would recommend downloading the LevelUp app and use it as a payment method. Later that evening, I called &pizza to check if they found an item that I’ve lost. I’m not sure if it was just an employee or the manager, but he was SO friendly and helpful. Although he couldn’t find the item, he made sure that he checked everywhere. In fact, he double checked! I was really appreciative of that gesture!

Great quality, fast, and helpful team members. It was my first time in and I took a friend, the staff helped by making suggestions towards their menu items. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Parking is the biggest downfall, so prepare to walk(like most places in Bethesda).

This place is the Chipotle of pizza in a good way. You pick your ingredients and they make you a pizza in just a few minutes. The pizzas are good and they have suggestions to get you started so you can avoid making a set of terrible choices to start off with. To cap it all off, they have«craft» sodas which are really just better and more interesting mixes of typical sodas you’d find. Still, they are really good. I got the Gnarlic and my wife got the Farmer’s Daughter. The gnarlic was clearly the winner of those two with great garlic sauce and fresh basil on top. The farmer’s daughter was also good, but just didn’t stand out quite as much. I guess garlic is better on pizza than eggs. The black cherry cola was fantastic and actually justified getting a drink. This is likely to be one of the few places I actually pay for a non-alcoholic drink.

LOVETHISPLACE. Fully customizable pizza for less than $ 10. A WIN! I have thoroughly enjoyed making my pizza creations every time I come here. I have always had great experiences with the staff, that let me add as many different sauces as I want, and get crazy with the toppings! Something that I have never seen at any other«make-your-own-pizza» type place, is that adding an egg to your pizza DOESNOTCOSTEXTRA. The first time I asked for egg on my pizza they did just the yolk, so the second time I asked them to add some egg white too. I realized the reason they don’t add egg white is because it causes the egg to slip and drip off the pizza, but the person putting together my pizza creation still tried his best to put the whole egg on there and I greatly appreciated it! They also serve homemade sodas which come in really unique flavors! My personal favorites are the ginger berry lemonade and mango passion fruit soda, which I mix half-and-half, and it’s awesome! Definitely a cool, hipster vibe with the chalkboard walls you can write on and I appreciate that they have so many toppings to choose from, and a lot of options for vegetarians and vegans. 5⁄5 for affordable, delicious pizza, a great atmosphere and employees that support your ambitious pizza creation endeavors!

First of all, I give the pizza itself 5 stars. It is DELICIOUS. However, the location is cramped and oddly set up. When you order your dough, it’s hard to tell who they are looking at to order since you are so far back when you tell them what you want. Then, if there is a line, there is really nowhere to stand while you wait for your pizza to cook, because they have you cut through the crowd to pay, then you have to backtrack to tell them what toppings you want on the pizza after it cooks. It’s only about 5 feet, but when it’s totally crowded with a line of hangry people, that gets challenging. I went today, and there were only about 7 customers in there, but it was still a challenge. My second complaint is the staff. I have been at least 25 times(I do love the pizza) since it opened and never once had a happy experience with the staff. Today(not a busy day) I got eyerolls when I asked for extra cheese on one side because there was about ¼ of the pizza that was bare. Then I got about 4 cherry tomatoes on my pizza, so I asked for extra and got a huff and puff AND an eyeroll. Ugh. Sadly, they are never very nice. My coworker today commented«I don’t understand why they are always so unfriendly.» I agree! Although, I will say that the cashier is generally nice. Overall, Pizza = 5 stars. Quick, made to order & delicious. Staff = 1 star. Always terrible.

I specifically came to this location on Saturday for lunch because the manager of the Germantown store recommended it to me. I brought my wife to try &pizza for the first time and I left feeling severely disappointed. As I approached the counter I was warmly greeted by the line staff. I ordered 2 pizzas, 1 with all veggies(except artichoke and broccoli) and beef meatball for my wife and 1 with all veggies(except artichoke and broccoli) for myself. The line staff was very friendly as you would expect from &pizza and were happy to put more mushrooms on 1 of the pizza when I requested. When I asked for more, the supervisor/manager told the employee not to put too much because«we“re not baking a cake». When I requested another round of mushrooms, the employee obliged but said she would get in trouble if she put any more. Not wanting to get the line staff in trouble since it was beyond their control, I didn’t ask for any extra servings of the toppings before it was put through the oven. The same supervisor/manager was in charge of taking the pizza out ringing me up at the register. He didn’t give me a receipt and I had to ask for it later. When he asked what finishes I want on the pizza he had a barely concealed look of condescension and exasperation when I asked for another serving of olives on 1 of the pizzas. Needless to say I was not full. The supervisor/manager, whose name I assume is Morgan as printed on the receipt, totally ruined my experience with his beyond stingy attitude. I will never come back to this location.

I was looking for a cheap place to eat after a work conference and stumbled on this place. What a find! The pizzas were large portions for the price — it looked like you could put unlimited toppings if you want, but I got the Farmer’s Daughter and it tasted fresh and great. I also split a salad with a friend — it was a great salad but a little bit of a small portion for $ 9(they give you salad and then also a whole bag of toasted flatbread so that probably accounts for the cost). I also got some of their craft soda, which was bubbly and perfectly balanced all the salty food. There’s not much seating inside which was sort of a drawback.

It’s MANDATORY I update my review due to my visit today. To no fault of the Pie-Crust Creator, my pizza came out as Gluten Free not Vegan crust. The difference the Unilocalsphere may ask? The Gluten Free crust has an egg white powder ingredient, hence making the crust non vegetarian/vegan. Again, one may ask how do I know? Let me tell you… After I used my LevelUP App to pay for my meal, I was making my way to the table. I saw this person all dressed in black that was vastly positioned throughout the store since my arrival. My thought was perhaps he was management material, so I casually approached him and asked of the same. He kindly obliged with a humble yes & then asked me very politely if I was a strict Vegan. I shared with him my extreme dairy allergen and non-consumption of meat(with the exception of my aquatic wild caught Salmon/Tuna) since 2002, and he was kind enough to share some additional insight on the Gluten Free crusts &pizza offers. They consist of the egg white powder. Not only did I get educated, I got a brand new pie made and his business card… Hey Nick! For me, that resonated the company’s sustainability mission/approach of consumer and company value. Aside from Sam B., my other favorite person Alex was working today, who is always on his A game especially making sure his pie crew is on point as well. It was only proper that I shared my previous reviews with Nick. He read them and was so ecstatic. His acknowledgment of his employees, staff and team was the main ingredient of &pizza’s success. Again, such a phenomenal concept of choosing your toppings, watching your pie bake, adding the finishing toppings, along with the unique beverages… makes the trip for gourmet handmade pies and innovative/culinary combinations a delicious excursion every time.

FOOD: Perfect for pizza lovers, fresh food cravers, and fast casual finders. You can choose from a variety of different pizza styles, each flavorful and unique, or create your own pizza with their list of fresh toppings and sauces. What makes &pizza special is that it takes about five minutes to make the pizza on an assembly line in front of you. Think of it as a Chipotle for pizza. ATMOSPHERE: Completely overwhelming during lunch on a work week. The line stretches out the door, and you have to bump elbows in the tiny nook of a restaurant. While your pizza takes about five minutes to make, the trip itself can take twenty minutes or more.

Love & pizza. This place is always my go-to place when I’m starving because I know that I can get a nutritious meal in seconds. I love all of the toppings that &pizza offers us. They have so many toppings to pick from that it’s overflowing with your toppings when you’re done creating your own pizza. Their toppings include: spinach, mushrooms, peppers, artichokes, chicken, sausage, eggs, cherry tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, olives, arugula, chick peas, basil, goat cheese, and soooooo many more. All the toppings are unlimited except you have to pay extra for the shrimp. This &pizza location was smaller than the other ones I have been to, but it does not lack in character. It is edgy and classic. Not to mention I loved their huge & chalkboard. Cute location and nothing can beat their awesome pizza!

Can you hate &pizza? I’m a customer for life. Their pizza is like subway in the form of a pizza shop. Of course &pizza offers much more fresh and nutritious toppings than subway. So maybe I should stop comparing the two… There are 6 steps to making your perfect personalized pizza. Step one, pick your dough. Step two pick your sauce. I have tried most of them, but I always end up with the classic sauce. It’s my favorite. This is a tip, you can also get half and half sauce or even combine sauces if your up for it. Step 3, pick your cheese or cheeses. I usually go with their mozzarella cheese. It is house made, so you know it’s fresh. Step 4, pick your veggies. Step 5, pick your protein. I would suggest their sausage and chicken combo. Or if your up for it, get an egg on your pizza! The last step is to pick your fixings. Get their olives. They have high quality olives… I love olives, and I especially love their olives!!!

Most people who have visited both this place and their new location near White Flint Station have been here first — after all, it was open for a few months before the White Flint location was. But it seemed that I was never in Bethesda at lunch time at any point while this place was in existence before the White Flint branch opened, and I’ve been there two or three times before I got to sample this location’s product. So my comparison runs the other way from other people’s. The pizza(and drinks) here are identical to those at White Flint(no surprise; you expect different stores in the same chain to be alike in that respect). I really like their pear/fig soda; that is one of the distinctive things here. I also am a big fan of the fact that you can get sausage AND pepperoni AND meatballs without paying an arm and a leg.(I just wish they had anchovies!) The store is extremely small. Of course, when I was here yesterday it was empty until I was about ¾ finished with my pizza — apparently, though they open at 11, most of the customers do not show up until almost 12. I imagine that when they do get busy, there is a line stretching out the door. I do not like the layout which makes you go to the back of the store to begin your order. They would have been better reversing the positions of the assembly line. But the main criterion is what the food tastes like(allowing for price). And they give you a good product for a decent price. I hesitated a bit about giving them the same 5 stars as I gave the White Flint location, but I don’t think the differences are enough to warrant deducting a star.

«Houston, we have a problem» because i want to eat here everyday for the rest of my life!!! Alright alright, let me not hype this place up… But who reads my reviews anyways right? Since March, I have been working in the great Bethesda area. &pizza has been one of the wonderful new discoveries that has enticed my taste buds :) I’ve gone to two three locations, the one in Rio, the one in Germantown and this one, off of Old Georgetown Road. I am happy to report, that all three are very consistent with the food and staff service. &pizza is like a «chipotle» style place where you build your own pie. They have so many sauces, a number of toppings and all the protein you can put on your pie — not to mention the arugula topping by the cash register is like the cherry on top(LOVEARUGULA) I usually get the classic dough, and i am very particular about my pizza dough, the thinner the better for me. They also offer gluten free dough! I mix my sauces… either the classic with the garlic or the classic with the truffle mushroom sauce. It’s so hard to decide. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Then we get to the toppings — fresh mozzarella rounds and a bit of shredded mozzarella, spinach, sauteed mushrooms. They have a number of very fresh veggies and other types of cheeses as well. I can’t explain it — you just have to go see for yourself! Here we go with the proteins… the best thing about &pizza is that they do not charge extra for ANY type of topping. Meats on top of meats on top of meats, they’re like #aintnoTHANG I usually get a craving for the half sausage and half italian meatball. The sausage adds a little kick to it and has a bit of roasted pepper flavor, it’s not to spicy for me, but just right. After harassing the pizza maker, and making his head spin with my indecisiveness… he throws my pie into the over for a few minutes, and out comes this fragrant, piping hot, fresh rectangular pie. Wait… it’s not over yet — i top mine off with fresh cherry tomatoes, arugula and garlic oil. All for about $ 9.00 — NOTBADRIGHT? Wait until you devour your pizza at the table… I resist eating the whole thing because i have to go back to the office and face the other half of my work day, but if i could, i’d totally man vs. food that whole pie. I think i went to this place twice in one week… that’s just how good it is. They give you a variety of toppings and they don’t charge extra when you ASK for extra… what more can you ask for? This is definitely my favorite lunch spot, and i can’t wait for the Pike and Rose location to open — that means i’d be even closer! #pizzafordays

Another pleasing iteration of this fast casual pizza conveyor belt. See my review of the E street location for full details on &pizza in general. Seeing as how they offer delicious food and are exceptionally sensitive to everyone’s dietary needs and are fast and affordable, I look at all of these places as being in the 4.5 star very good range; what I give them will likely just depend on what I got that day, honestly. At Bethesda, I augmented my order with the vegan beef crumbles. Tasted like seitan(wheat) to me; adding that to a grain-based crust doesn’t add a ton of flavor, but it is more filling. This location was also the first time I got fresh mozzarella, for whatever reason. Oh. My. Goodness. Why they offer a choice to *not* get that, I don’t know. If you eat dairy at all, definitely try fresh. The Bethesda locale is quite small even by &pizza standards, with only one indoor table, a couple of seats by the window, and a couple of small tables outside on a nice day. Don’t count on eating in. The location is quite close to the Metro, however, and weather permitting there are a number of public areas within a couple of blocks where you can sit.

I went through an & pizza obsession at one point. It is just so good. Always consistently good. It’s really a genius idea(probably not originally & pizzas but whatever). You can make whatever type of pizza you want and then it goes through a super super hot oven and is out for you to eat in a matter of minutes. I’ve introduced many people to this place and plan on continuing to do so! Everyone loves it. Pizza making tips: — Scramble an egg on top! It’s tasty. — There’s this dope fig sauce they can put on your pizza at the end. Maybe try it on just a few slices at first — it’s sweet but amazing.

Pretty good pizza but a chaotic experience during dinner time. First of all, this is a very small location with a few number of seats. If you’re looking to dine in, don’t come during meal rush times or you won’t find a seat and if you don’t like being crowded. The assembly line also gets a bit chaotic with lots of people. It was hard identifying which pies were mine when I got to the register. The actual pizzas are a generous size and have good flavor. I really enjoyed the spicy marinara sauce option. Warning for those getting the farmer’s daughter. Ask them to cook the egg all the way through. I asked for half cooked and it basically came to me raw which made the pizza soggy. Not pleasant. The pesto and ricotta sauce base that I used in my diy pizzas were also so-so. However, I like the variety of toppings they have. They also have very interesting soda choices. I would come again for take-out or a bigger location next time around.

A couple people told me about $pizza’s popping up all over town, I heard it described as the Chipotle of pizza. Kinda. The ingredients are spread in front of you like Chipotle, you pick what you want, they make the pizza, and they put it in a signature long box. But the difference is, Chipotle has all the classic ingredients you want in a burrito. &pizza has some weird(albeit creative) pizza topping choices, but they were lacking the classics. I was cool, though. I thought maybe I was missing out on pizza with their toppings. I’m game to try new stuff! I ordered the Grecian Market pizza, which has(copied from the website because it is so much I forgot what was on it) «Red Chickpea Purée, Local Mushroom Blend, Broccoli Florets, Falafel Crumbles, Kalamata Olives, Pickled Red Onions, Crumbled Feta Cheese, Tzatziki Yogurt» Um, yes, it tasted like the crumbs from the dishes at a Greek restaurant, I wasn’t impressed. It didn’t seem like pizza, like how an open-faced sandwich isn’t really a sandwich. What if Chipotle did a spaghetti burrito? Just get the classics right and then expand from there. On top of that, this tables and floor were pretty dirty, the trash was overstuffed-full(guess what happens when all your customers have 16 inch long boxes!), and the house made beverage machine dripped all over my hand, very messy(though my ginger lemonade mixed with mango passion fruit was pretty good) Overall, I can get good pizza elsewhere, not for me.
