Tried to eat here on NYE. We have eaten here before and had a good experience. Looks like a dive bar on the outside with its beer posters, but its actually cute on the inside. We looked on Open Table and they were WIDE open for reservations all night. I did not want to put a credit card via the OT website so we jumped into the car and drove over. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:15PM. Greeted by the hostess and then asked if we had a reservation. No, we didn’t but we only wanted a quick bite. We were fine eating at the bar. Hostess said that was fine, but food may take a while. Odd, we saw zero customers in the dining room, but fine. I worked in food service, maybe food will be slow because they are producing for reservations later in the evening. Sat down at the bar(which is very uncomfortable. I am 5’11 and I found it too tall to eat at). We asked for a drink menu, they do not have one.(!!!). We were given both a regular menu and a special NYE menu, One would think A LOT to try to produce for a special night. While we were looking at the menu, before we even ordered a drink the hostess came back from the kitchen and told us food would take about an hour to come out. Far as we could see, we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant. «We would order right then and there, before they were hit with their rush.» Hostess disappeared again to talk to the kitchen. After a couple of minutes we got up and left. You are a local place. We want to like you, but you have got to be better organized. I hope your evening was successful without our business.

Great brunch. Service was personable and humorous. My eggs Benedict was not too heavy and my wife and I very much enjoyed our food. We would return if we were closer. I hope more locals take advantage of this place.

Great brunch food –even the coffee was good. The service was great, and the owner was very kind and introduced himself while waiting for our food. I don’t live in the area, but if I did, I would definitely go back again.

These guys are great people and very welcoming. The food and ambiance are among the best. We had my birthday brunch in the bar area and it was a great start to my birthday events.

Attended a small wedding two weeks ago – unfortunately their attempt at hosting a private function failed. Breakfast buffet was so-so – omelet station should have had more than one small burner and pan for making omelets, especially with 35 guests. My husband had to wait 30 minutes to get one made. Overall service was good, waitstaff very friendly. However, never did see the wedding cake/desserts, heard there was drama in the back of the house and it wasn’t ready, so after being there 2−½ hrs. we had to leave as did many of the guests. Never attended a wedding where the cake wasn’t displayed out front when you arrived.

Went here with a few friends and received superior service! Owner(male) came out and greeted us. We were very pleased with the overall experience. Water glasses were filled atleast 4 – 5 times. 5 stars for service. There were tealight candles lite everywhere which created a cozy environment for a meal. Drink prices were a bit steep… 5.75 for a jack and coke? I could barely tell there was whiskey in the drink. I ordered a SMALL caeser salad for 7 bucks. From a locally owned resturant, I expected large chards of parm cheese shavings, and homemade croutons, and I expexted the salad to be «big» for a 7 dollar salad. Salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. Store bought croutons and no sign of any parm cheese(maybe it was in the dressing??). Salad was decent — but not worth 7 dollars. More like $ 2.50, especially since I ordered an entré. The deserts were amazing… but over priced. I understand this is a locally owned business, but you cannot charge high prices — people may or may not see the value vs the price. My meal came to around 40 bucks, 2 cocktails, salad and entrée and dessert. I left the resturant somewhat hungry. We will be back. But maybe for breakfast? Hopefully the prices are more reasonable!

We had two experiences with this Café. The first was just stopping to get dessert to take away. We got a cheesecake with peach topping, which was good, and a peanut butter/chocolate cake that was AMAZING. So good that we decided to go for brunch the next day. Other reviewers are spot on when they describe the confusing décor/ambiance. This place is WEIRD. From the outside and when you walk in, it looks like a dive bar. Liquor store signs outside, chalk board wall around the restroom door, sad little dessert case, and an old fashioned stove with ugly chotchkes on it. As another reviewer said, it is slightly awkward that no one is on that level to greet you as you walk in. Someone noticed us from the main dining room, and called us up. The first thing I noticed was that they had the lights(Tiffany lamps?) dimmed, like fine dining. Except it was Brunch, so this was weird. Then I quickly noticed the décor. It looks like someone robbed a Homegoods and put everything they took on the walls, regardless of fit. One wall has about 6 «Bistro» signs. Another has 4 «café» signs(the generic ones they sell at Marshalls.) Then there are the decals, five or six on one piece of wall — «Live, Laugh, Love!» «Great times are had around the table!» Birds and flowers and designs, oh my! Large metal hanging sculpture next to them. Seriously, someone needs to take EVERYTHING off the walls here, throw away about 75% of the items and try again. It was distracting and showed very poor taste. Not to mention the fact that the smooth Jazz station was BLARING out of an overhead speaker that was buzzing. It was hard to talk over. Ok, so I had read most of this on here, but how was the food? Well, Ok. I had the West Coast Benedict, which was ham, tomato and avocado with the benedict. I got it with no ham, as I am a vegetarian. When it came, I was surprised to see cold tomatoes and avocados diced on top, rather than grilled and underneath the egg, which would have been much better. The egg was nicely cooked. The english muffin was still frozen in the middle, not really toasted at all. The Hollandaise was a little runny, but tasted pretty good. My husband enjoyed his«Cowboy Killer» egg plate. We got a cannolli at the end of the meal which was not great. The pastry was stale. Also, under the«everyone’s human» category, our server seemed to be in a lot of pain. She was very nice and attentive, but every time she turned to go into the kitchen, I could see her wince in pain — it seemed like her feet or shoes were bothering her. I felt bad. Overall, I feel like this place has potential. The owner seems very nice and energetic, and I think that if they take the feedback provided in these reviews, they could have a nice little place here.

A completely ruined experience. The food is pretty good, 70% of the time. The other 30%, however, was comprised of sending dishes back to the kitchen to be reheated/fixed in some way. And I am not particularly picky. The real problem, though, is the owner Christina. She’s an incredibly nasty woman who has had a problem with me(a regular patron in the restaurant) from day one(for reasons I should not disclose, but that have to do with business I do with her husband). She has scowled at me, given me extremely dirty looks, and even so far as(very recently) plopped my plate down in front of me, essentially throwing the silverware down on the table, and extremely condescendingly asking me «is there anything else I can do for you?» I immediately called her by her name, Christina, and exemplified my concern at her very obvious and downright absurd disrespect to me, a long time paying customer that’s done NOTHING but tell everyone I know about the restaurant, and come there frequently. She responds with«you don’t want to mess with me right now. I’m in a feisty mood.» She said this in the nastiest way possible. This is how you treat your good paying customers? This woman will ruin your experience in this restaurant. It’s very clear that she’s incredibly unhappy, and opts to take it out on every living creature within her immediate radius. Frankly, I feel sorry for you Christina. And thank you. Thank you kindly for treating me like no more than a piece of dirt. As a fellow business owner in the same area you operate in, that wasn’t such a smart move.

Caveat– we only had dessert so I cannot speak to food or the regular menu. We had dinner elsewhere and were referred here for dessert, being told everything was home made. We checked out the dessert case and only about half the items were labled. It was a busy friday, this type of thing happens. My friend ordered the vanilla pudding, which may have been MADE at home but tasted like a boxed mix, kind of plastic-y. It has whipped cream and sprinkles on top. I had rainbow cake, with chocolate icing, apple filling and pear filling. I can honestly say I have never eat such an odd confection. The icing was boxed. The cake wasn’t bad, just a bit dry, not fresh. The fillings were pudding-ish, not too strongly flavored, but no chunks of real fruit or anything. So, I’m never ordering dessert there again. However, the ambience, service and décor were lovely and if I was starving I would totally try their menu.

We accidentally fell into this little gem this evening for dinner and it was remarkable. Everything was fresh made to order and delicious. Menu offers an awesome variety and all four members of our party order something amazing. This place was perfectly fit for foodies and we loved it. We ordered apps, for dinners, two bottles of red and 6 desserts and the bill was just $ 200…great deal

Upon our arrival we collided paths with the delight of the eatery, «Carol». Carol proved to be extremely knowledgeable in relation to the menu and the chef’s capabilities. Carol was spot on with her service, attentiveness, beauty, and presence. Truly the headliner of the Café. Our meals arrived very timely and the portions were immense. I must recommend the Peanut butter Brownie and Strawberry Cheesecake however the brownie blew the cheesecake out the water. We deoarted the Café extremely intoxicated by the meal and sat through a Brian McKnight concert uncomfortably full! Only half-step or downfall would be the lounge area. Certainly a creepy sitting area. A cross between 70’s porn set, grandma’s knitting area, and Norman Bate’s Hotel. We were totally expecting something social and special being everything else flowed really well not to mention the guy(employee/owner?) suggested we check it out; not once but twice! Com’cre best described the lounge; Comical and Creepy. Again everything else received a Green Light and Bravo Zulu. Lastly, Ensure you pay with a Bank Card; you have already activated! Spare yourself the embarrassment! !

What is this place? I have had some really good food here including a terrific veggie flat bread. Service is always great. But, we don’t often visit because the vibe is just off. I think it is because it is a bakery and restaurant that is open until 2am but also serves brunch on the weekends while advertising their cozy wine tasting room. The outside is oddly decorated with Christmas lights banners and outside seating(in an area not deserving of outdoor dining). Lots of attention was paid to the inside but the front door is pretty beat up and the porch is decked in old plywood. So, visit and you’ll have a good meal but if the décor and ambiance freak you out, don’t be surprised.

OK, the reviews for this place seem to be love it or hate it. We didn’t love it or hate it. I wish you could leave half stars. Upon walking into the restaurant you are greeted with no host or hostess stand. Just a dark open foyer with a pastry refrigerator with their deserts, very odd. We had a reservation and told them that but they never asked us our name but it’s not like they were jammed packed. The problem is we booked via open table and didn’t get credit for our reservation. Hence now emailing open table. We were seated in the bar area so the bartender waited on us. Any questions we asked about the menu he had to go and ask someone. We were never told of any ‘features’ of the night as stated on their online menu. Anyway here is what we had six shucked Oysters, crab cake sliders, caprese flat bread and the prime time melt with two IPA’s. Our bill was 60.00+ before tip. The food was good but not great. My sliders were on the cold side and included crab shells and we were told for the prime time melt it came with a mix of fries and potato fires and something else. Our mix of fries were down graded to regular fries as our server, the bartender told us that the menu has changed 4 times in 4 weeks. Sorry, but to me this is the bartender’s issue as he didn’t even know what oysters they were serving that day and had to get the owner Rick to tell us the oysters of the day… REALLY… I’ve read some of the reviews and they mention the bud light glasses. We too had our beer in the bud light glasses. But our issue with this place is if your are going to charge top dollar, $ 2.50 each for the oysters, then stop dumming down your service, get people who know your menu and won’t toss you under the bus and get better glassware and what is with the stupid patio furniture in the bar area. It all speaks of low class and that would be fine if you didn’t have such high prices. We have a groupon for this place so I think we will use it before it expires. So that could be our last time at this place or we go back… I wish the owners paid attention to what people have posted here on Unilocal

This place is wonderful! Their wine menu is diverse, sweets are homemade, food is delicious, and their staff is on point. I sat in their private room and was given such a warm and comforting experience, I highly recommend this for a nice date night, or a ladies night out. Their bartender is very helpful and insightful about everything they have, they even infuse their own custom vodkas. Be sure to check this place out!

My husband and I bought a groupon for this gorgeous little café and we went for breakfast on a wintery Saturday morning. We were greeted by Carol, who was so nice and informative — she also sounded like she LOVED working there(sounds like the dream!) We got coffee and, man, they don’t skimp on their coffee. We got huge cups of delicious coffee. I ordered the Smoke House Omelette and it was awesome! Not your conventional breakfast, but I was feeling like trying something new. My husband ordered the Barnyard Scramble and he ate every last bite. They also have a nice lounge and bar and wonderful ambiance. We will most certainly be back — maybe for a couples night!

I was so warmly greeted upon entering that I instantly fell in love with the place. The dining room feels as if you’re sitting in someone’s home. My server Helen(she works Mondays so be sure to stop by then!) was so much fun and so excited about Sweet Indulgence and I completely understand why. All of the food is made from scratch so the menu often rotates and the cocktails are carefully handcrafted. The Rustic Veggie Flatbread — featuring grilled eggplant, zucchini, roasted red peppers, portabella mushrooms, red onions, tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella with pesto sauce — was delicious! The crust was very obviously made in-house and had the perfect flavor and crispness. I love trying new things off menus anytime I’m a repeat customer, but this was so tasty that it will be hard to not order it again the next time I go. I was stuffed from the excellent flat bread but ordered a dessert to go: house made brownie topped with house made peanut butter and chocolate sauce. YUM! The brownie was just out of this world and the peanut butter was so fresh! There’s an entire case of house made desserts and I can’t wait to try the others, although this one will be my go to. The owner Rick stopped by to chat and requested suggestions for improvement. My only suggestion was that the beer menu could be enhanced, but honestly, this place is so wonderful and I can’t wait to come back with everyone I know.

Come hungry. Everything is so good! The ricotta bacon dates are divine. I would be remiss, however, if I didnt warn that the prices have gone up since our first visit. Back then, oysters were $ 10, this time they were $ 30 I think. The appetizer prices were at least $ 1 more. Our total bill was double what it had been our first time here. Still good, but now more a special occasion night rather than a frequent dinner out.
