It smells in this place. Bad. And the food is not fresh. Waitstaff is less than accommodating. Skip. Next place!

I can only speak for brunch service since I have never eaten dinner here. We went for Sunday brunch with their fixed menu for $ 17.95 including free mini bagels and unlimited mimosas, bloody marys. We thought«what a nice deal». We waited too long for our meals to be served to us. I ordered eggs benedict. My eggs were well under cooked and runny. My home fries looked like yesterday’s leftover potato wedges just reheated. Plus wait staff was abismal, nowhere to be found at times. I am giving this place 2 stars only because if and when I ever eat here again, I can judge if the dinner service/food is better.

Was there last Friday for a class reunion. No signage from inside the private room that there’s a step up. Well, I tripped(I didn’t have anything to eat or drink) and fell flat on my face, shoulders, hands, and knees onto the tile floor. The staff ignored my screams and my friends had to ask for ice. One bartender said he would call an ambulance for me if necessary(thanks!). Left my information for the manager, who has yet to contact me regarding my condition. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning

Went here for brunch with two friends and just had to comment on the experience. It was like I was having an out of body experience. Our waiter started off ok and ended terribly. They have unlimited mimosas for brunch and it took forever to get our drinks. I’m taking twenty mins in between. My pancakes were supposed to come with sausage and they were absent. My friend ordered the carrot cake. I kid you not, it took 15⁄20 mins to get the carrot cake. And when we tired to get our server’s attention his response was«yea your carrot cake, I know» and walked away. Luckily he knew that wait and response was ridiculous and he comped her cake and apologized for the wait. I will say what we ordered was pretty good taste wise. But the service was awful. Just awful. And the main reason I’m even commenting on this experience isn’t even because I was just so upset about the service. I’m upset because when I got home I opened my left overs and clears as day what I saw was bad. They garnished my pancakes with oranges and strawberries. I had clearly put my orange skins on the side of my plate. So the fact that who ever packed it threw them on top of my pancakes makes me so angry. Like why would I need to take home what is clearly garbage?!

Great local place if you’re in the mood for something casual! Pros– Friendly waitress. Good ambience. Great Texas burger; the best one I’ve had! Noise level is average during lunchtime. Cons– none.

This place has been a Bethpage staple for a long time. A great place to gather with friends for mini reunions. Good food, great atmosphere although it can get quite loud in here. They have an OTB and quick draw which I like a lot. Prices are probably on par with most other pub style places in the area so that’s not a concern. Right around the corner from the Bethpage State Park which is convenient as well. Give a try and see for yourself.

I love this place! We moved into the area about 5 months ago and have been wanting to try BK Sweeneys. We were not let down! The potato skins were excellent and the Irish stew was one of the best I’ve had. They have a decent beer selection and an impressive bar. I look forward to returning!

A neighborhood restaurant. This is both good and bad. The good is that it is friendly, unassuming and has decent food and prices. The bad is that it is crowded, noisy with screaming kids and old guys arguing sports. The menu is pub food + and is executed well. You can stray from the hamburger/steak/salad/choices and still have a good meal.

I went here for the first this weekend. We had a reservation and we’re seated right away. However, we waited almost an hour for our food to come. We were a group of five, but all we ordered were burgers, nothing very complicated. When the food did arrive, some of the orders were incorrect. I asked for sweet potato fries and got regular. My friend ask for no tomatoes and they were put on his burger anyway. We didn’t complain because we had other places we wanted to get to. Besides all that, the food was actually pretty good. And the waitress did give us 15% for waiting for so long. Maybe I came on a bad day, because I usually hear good things about this place. Either way, I probably won’t be coming back anytime soon, there are so many other restaurant in the area.

If you want to have lunch or dinner in a place where you get treated to a home-cooked style meal in a friendly atmosphere then you must stop at BK Sweeneys in Bethpage. I have brought my wife and also have eaten there with my friends. The staff is lead by Cathy the most wonderful person in the world as the hostess/manager. You get greeted with a huge hello and if your lucky enough you may get a hug also. Every server treats the customers like family. The goodness doesn’t stop there. The food is delicious. I recommend the shepherds pie or the CPI sandwhich – chicken cutlet, bacon and cheese on a toasted garlic hero bread. If a soup and an app is all you have room for you must get the French onion soup with either the baked clams or the buffalo wings. Don’t forget the cheese which is melted around the crock. If your on the four letter word that I am allergic to, DIET, this is still your place to visit. The salads are huge and fresh and according to my wife filling. You will not be disappointed when you visit BK Sweeneys in Bethpage.

THISISTHEHIDDENCRACKSPOT !!! For the guys looking for a place to bring your girlfriends That’s super laid back with awesome food Fair pricing Romantic lighting and setting And you can still down a beer Dont get turned off when i say this, but this place is like an Irish pub/local sweet spot/grandmas cooking/cozy turn up spot. I went there at random some time this weekend with my boyfriend. It was Friday date night 9:30p with a short wait. Hostess was kind, Waiter was kind. I had low hopes for this place at first because upon walking in there’s a huge bar and awesome up to date music playing. I assumed a cool bar like this would have your typical bar food BUTNO! I opened the menu like it was the gates to heaven. It was all such warm, loving foods. Steaks, ribs, Sheppard’s pie, pot pie etc etc… POTPIE was delicious it was bigger than the size of my head. It had huge chunks of potato and chicken inside and a thin crispy crust. It was really really delicious ! STEAK was cooked perfectly. Mixed with the onion chips omg to die for. We got the sweet potato French fries, how can you go wrong with those? They were crunch and yummy! Large portions & great flavor !!! Needless to say I walked out of this place more full of food than I have been on some thanksgivings. All together for a steak and pot pie two beers and some garlic bread was $ 80. **PLEASEREFERTOBRANDON A’S PHOTOSOFSTEAKANDPOTPIE.**

Very hit or miss with food. Had the burgers and one time it was great, another not so much. Same thing with the corned beef sandwich(put me in the bathroom for an afternoon once). Decent beer selection but not great. Its more a hangout for the locals than anything else.

I Unilocaled this place today as I had a 2 hour wait for my movie at a nearby theatre. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner, it was a good experience. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated, only a quick moment went by before being asked if we were ready to place a drink order. We ordered our food and it came out promptly. He had the fish and chips and I had a steak sandwich. Both of our meals were delicious to the end. The service was great, the food was good but the price was a bit high. The ambience was okay, the lighting was very poor and I kept smelling a stench of alcohol from the moment I went in. I would go back here if I had too, however it isn’t a place I must go back to. It served the purpose that it needed to for today and I was not particularly displeased. Our waiter was a very kind and pleasant man, that was noteworthy.

The one thing I remember from coming here as a kid is that itis DARK inside. It isn’t just ordinary darkness, it’s ADVANCEDDARKNESS. Okay not really, but the lighting inside is very dim. It seems like a little community there, they sponsor outings to Mets games with rides and beer included, so said a flyer in the Men’s room. The food there is pretty good. It’s nicer than the average pub, so the food is at least better than the average pub food. Last time I was there I got a salad(stupid diet!) that was okay, not spectacular. Usually I go for their burgers. Big thick juicy burgers with tons of topping options. This is where BK Sweeney’s shines. The big horseshoe-shaped bar takes up the middle of the restaurant, and you can order food from anywhere inside, or sit at one of the tables past the bar and just get drinks. i always like it when bars allow you to get a table and doesn’t force you to order food. It makes me feel like I’m in a sitcom. I will say that when I was there last my friend asked for mushrooms on his burger and wasn’t brought them. When he asked for them the server took a while to get them to us.

I always refused to go here because it is in a small town, where I went to High School. But I have to say I like the ambience… nice place to go on a weekday after a long day! Food was okay. not bad… not great… slightly over priced for the quality. I got the pulled bbq chicken which was okay… not as tender as it should… and the mash potatoes that came with it were rather plain. However I would still go back… next time for some appetizers or finger foods. My friend seemed to enjoy more of his stuff which was finger foods.

BK Sweeney’s is a restaurant bar in Bethpage Village. The size of the crowd inside surprised me. On the advice of a fellow Unilocaler I raced over to try it. When I saw the BK S crowd realized they were likely easy to please. mostly men and locals that like crowds and beer. So I took it to go, I saw four very small added on up charges as I paid the hostess, three for take out, on three dinners, one for switching out sides. So I began to think I was going to get some cheap economized dinners. Ribs and Mac and cheese were ok. Heavily sauced up tangy ribs, mac and cheese were shells and appeared baked on top. Sauerbraten, potato pancakes, red cabbage also good but mom kept using the word vinegary. lol! .I gave most of mine to the hounds, my son & his gf, brought the ribs back uneaten to the kitchen. They kept the mac & cheese. 20 minutes later I heard a delivery man at the door knocking with Italian food for them. Traditional pub food quick cook for a large crowd pub food. Next time I’ll try the lunch sandwiches I was told are good, and maybe shepards pie to see if anything strikes me as a must have. Maybe I’ll try again. Its a nice place to go for a weekend pub vibe if your not too far and you want a place to hang and drink beer. Maybe for lunch sandwiches as I was recommended to try. For take out dinner as I tried its likely not going to cut it. I kept the stars at 3 because ultimately it is a pub and the crowd was large, energetic and upbeat. So Pub it is. Dining well. likely better with beer. :)
