Amy Roberts is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I’ve been seeing her now for well over a decade. There are many things I love about her, but first and foremost is that she really, really takes pride in her work. It really matters to her that my bonding or my crown looks great, and she will work tirelessly until it is perfect. This sort of perfectionism is rare in any field. Is she expensive? I don’t know, as my insurance pays for most of it. But teeth are not something to scrimp on – a bitter lesson I learned as I got older and paid dearly for the shoddy dental work of my youth. Anyway, I have rarely if ever written a Unilocal review, but I feel compelled to tell the world what a great person and dentist Amy is. Oh, she also gives nitrous oxide, even for a deep cleaning, so you get to hang out with the angels the whole time she is working.

Best cleaning I’ve ever had! Dr. Roberts was so thorough yet conservative in her treatment. She didn’t try to upsell me on any unnecessary treatments. Dr. Roberts was very warm and motherly. Definitely made me feel comfortable.
Be aware that they don’t bill your insurance directly. You pay for your treatment up front and then get reimbursed by your insurance.

I have to admit, Dr. Roberts came highly recommended and she did a good job but I was very disappointed with the total costs of the work she did. I’m a young professional here in Los Angeles and told her I couldn’t afford to pay for too much work. She did a regular cleaning and without discussing with me first, tacked on a huge «evaluation fee» that cost me even more than the work I had done.
Such a disappointment and when I called to ask why she added this charge, all she had to say was «you have to pay it, it’s not something I discuss with any of my clients. it’s a fee that’s part of the work». She was very rude on the phone and even threatened to call a collection agency if I didn’t pay her.
I would not recommend Dr. Roberts unless you’re worth a lot of money and can afford «hidden costs» that don’t make a difference to you.
Very frustrating and I’m now going to another dentist who doesn’t try to scam clients.

Dr. Roberts is fabulous. It’s so difficult to find a good honest competent dentist in LA, and Dr. Roberts is all of these things and more. She will not try to upsell you on anything you don’t need and she has great bedside manner and a sense of humor too, and she will listen to your concerns and address them accordingly.
Her office staff are all really sweet and nice too.
She came recommended to me from a co-​worker who’s been goin’ to her for years and swears by her. I believe I’ve been going to Dr. Roberts for almost 2 years now and will never go to another dentist as long as I’m here in LA.
I go to her for regular cleanings every 6 months and she’s done fillings for me as well. And when I first came to her because I wasn’t happy with my previous dentist, she pointed out how he hadn’t even done a full X-​Ray set. You just get the impression she’s totally on the top of her game and knows what’s she doing.
I couldn’t HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Roberts enough.
