Delicious food and great service. The pepperoni pizza is to DIEFOR(this coming from a part time vegetarian). Andrés and Edwin are super friendly servers who treat their guests like VIPs. On top of that, the white bean dip they serve with fresh bread is unbelievably good, refreshing, and a unique take on starters.

The waiter named Edwin deserves 5 stars on his own. That being said, this place is wonderful. Cute setting, not snooty at all, amazing food, and great ambiance. My fiancé and I decided to try this place before having our reception dinner here. Everyone was very helpful especially our waiter Edwin. The food is really good albeit a bit pricey as well as a cocktails.(I am in love with their White Russian and hubby says their martinis are delicious.) Service is amazing and Edwin even got us a free dessert for being first timers. I highly recommend their Tirta della Nonna(Grandmother’s Cake). SOGOOD! Will definitely enjoy having my wedding reception dinner here and recommend it to any others looking for a small and intimate restaurant for a family gathering or date night.

This place is a hidden gem! For Beverly Hills — the price is right and the pretentious level is at 0. I recommend grabbing a patio spot as the Unilocal reviews are right, it smells weird inside. NOTE that they don’t honor the Unilocal reservations. I had to call anyway.

Food is okay but the service is too slow. While the food comes out piping hot. Having to wait two hours for it not worth the wait.

I love this place. It’s really small, with zero pretension. The owner is really nice too. The patio is really nice. Definitely a great date place because the food is really good but it’s not overly fancy. Even though you’re on Doheny and Santa Monica, when you’re in the restaurant you don’t even feel like you’re in LA because it’s just so modest(not in a divey way but in a minimal way). I also get to-go from here a lot too, and they always give you bread with white bean spread, and tomatoes… so pretty much, free amazing bruschetta with whatever you order. There might be more fancy or foody-ish Italian food in LA, but if you’re looking for solid Italian food, in a really calm setting, you’ll love it here. I consistently get the bolognese and I love it.

I love the space they created in the backyard behind the restaurant. It has a great ambiance and very charming. The service is great. I gave them 4 stars since the food could be better. The last time I went with a group my pasta was not fully cooked and I was disappointed but other than that we had a great time.

The food here is excellent! I waited a while for my drink, but being a small restaurant and just opening up, I am sure the team had a lot to do. I would have ordered another drink had one been offered

Where to do I begin?! From the second I walked in the service was HORRIBLE, I wasn’t greeted at all! I sat at table with friends and had NO menu or drink menu. I had to get up out of my chair to ask for a menu which I was told by the bartender he would bring it over, took at least 10 minutes! We ordered drinks and man that seemed like it took even longer plus they forgot a drink! Finally when we did order food and it arrived, we had NOSILVERWARE!!! I don’t recall ordering finger foods. And to top it off while eating and being ignored, not once asked if we wanted water or another fill in drinks, we had a little visitor, a cockroach just crawling along the wall next to our table! We told the waiter and all he did was hit it with a napkin and let it fall to the floor and walk away!!! NEVERAGAIN! Don’t go to this place at all!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel attached to this restaurant. We came down through the hotel courtyard in the early evening. There’s an open window with bar seats and a sign above that reads«Il Bar,» which is apparently the best place to sit if you want to be totally ignored by the restaurant staff. It seemed like the staff were making a conscious effort to not make eye contact with us. We weren’t even offered water. We decided to skip ordering a full meal and just got drinks and an appetizer, both were pretty good. No one acknowledged us when we were finished, so we had to walk inside the restaurant to pay. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, only a few tables inside and out were taken. If having people sit at the window bar is too much of an inconvenience for the staff, then just close that window.

Best Italian food I’ve ever had! Stumbled onto the restaurant when staying at Hotel Beverly Terrace. Lovely quaint atmosphere. Ordered the Pizza Salamino and Linguine with smoked chicken and sundried tomatoes. The portions were generous and the ingredients were fresh, high quality. We planned to just pick up the food and take to our room but decided to eat there due to the nice atmosphere. Complimentary flat bread with bruschetta and white bean hummus for stater.(The girl in a previous review who who said food was ok and didn’t know that it was white bean hummus is NOT qualified to appreciate authentic Italian food). Will be back for sure!

My fiancé was in my area after work and we wanted to meet up and grab dinner in a different location than usual, so we decided on Trattoria Amici. I hit the directions button on Unilocal(which can be a disaster at times) and it led me to the Beverly Terrace hotel. I went in to explain that I was looking for a restaurant and the directions led me here and the host told me to leave my car there for valet and walk next door. This is a nice little Italian restaurant nestled on the side of the hotel with a romantic little patio area to enjoy dinner, cocktails and great conversation. The owner and I had a chance to talk about how he started as a cook and became the owner over 15 years ago. He truly has a passion for what he does and it shows in the food. ARAGOSTAALLAGRIGLIACONSPAGHETTI Al GRANCHIO — spaghetti with grilled maine lobster and fresh louisiana crab meat in a light spicy tomato sauce. This was amazing! They add a whole lobster tail along with crab making it the perfect seafood combination. The spicy tomato sauce was a perfect mix along with some parmesan cheese! LASAGNAALLAPIEMONTESEDITACCHINELLA — homemade lasagna with turkey ragu and tomato sauce. My fiancé ordered this and it had a very unique flavor. It was definitely different and I really enjoyed it. I’ve never tasted lasagna like this and I highly recommend it. Very very good! We also had complimentary flatbread with tomatoes and hummus which we murdered and the apple martini was delicious! This place definitely a hidden gem and we will be back again! 5 out of 5 Afros OOOOO

The food was fine. If the review were just for the food and the cozy, old-world feel of the décor, it’d get 4 stars. But, whether it was the manager or the owner, WHAT A GROUCH!!! When a child asked for more hummus, he grumped back that it was a white bean dip. Really? Whatever happened to hospitality and graciousness? And if he were being grumpy because we hadn’t yet ordered, we would have gladly if someone had come by to take the order or, eventually we realized, if he had simply stopped long enough to ask if we were ready to place the order. Repeat after we received the dessert menu. Our party would have placed an order except no one came by again. FORANHOUR. Not only for us but for the other two tables in the restaurant as well. Imagine three tables full of people with their bodies and faces positioned toward one corner of the room in anticipation of someone — a server, the manager/owner, the bus boy, anyone — to flag down for a check. I finally got up and went over to a server behind a nook to give us the check. It took at least another 10 minutes for the owner/manager to actually deliver the check. Rather than wait futilely to ask for pens, I whipped out my lipstick to write out the amount to be split between our table’s two cards. After another ten minutes, he came by, only to grump what the numbers meant. Then, disregarding our request, split the check evenly. No, we won’t be back, which is a pity since it seemed a sufficiently charming space and decent enough fare.

I’m going to go ahead and give this four stars. The reviews on here are mixed however I went there recently and I liked it. There was a post that said there was a musty smell inside the restaurant, I did not find that to be true. The smell is one of the bar just having been bleached or sanitized but it’s a nice setting. I did find the food a little overpriced for for what it was but the setting and your company will make up for that. They also have a fair wine list and a nice bar offering. Overall I think this restaurant is a nice neighborhood hidden gem!

We were looking for a restaurant close to the Troubadour that wasn’t going to set up back a weeks pay. What a great little gem Trattoria Amici turned out to be. The menu offered various dishes and prices. I splurged and went for the fettuccine alfredo with shaved black truffles. Yum!!! Nice service too.

This place is an absolute gem in the middle of the city! Lovely dining room and fantastical patio… like something you’d expect to find in New York, but with year-round weather for eating alfresco. Every dish I have had has been utterly spectacular from the pasta dishes to the pizza to the entrees(I’ve been 3 times recently). And everyone starts off with a wonderful bruschetta to start… some of the freshest I’ve had outside(and inside for that matter) of Europe. And then there’s the staff, who are all very hospitable and gracious, and the wonderful gentleman tending the bar completes the experience. It’s the kind of staff that remembers you each time, and i know that for a fact, as they keep remembering me. I don’t review very many places on Unilocal, but I simply cannot say enough good things about this place. Run, don’t walk, to Amici.

This place is 10 Star. What customer service, amazing food, and thoughtfulness! My girl and I had a weekend get away at the Beverly Terrace Hotel, and needless to say we worked up an appetite, and the only place open close by was this awesome spot. The manager gladly said he’d have the food walked over and not only did he do that but they brought appetizers, food, and bill all in that order one by one. I’ve never felt so pampered. Our server Gelver was the man. He simply made the whole ordeal stress free. As far as the food: AMAZING. We ordered Seafood Linguini and Beet Salad. I can’t do anything but praise both dishes. Bravo on being a class act and truly coming through when it matters most.

Staying at the hotel and alone on a Tuesday night, I decided to just eat at the restaurant after reading the Unilocal reviews. I was the first person to enter in the patio section. Shortly after being seated, a family party arrived and a couple. The staff quickly assembled enough seating for the family. The ambivalence was lovely. The complimentary food was nice. Pita bread with hummus and seasoned chopped tomatoes. They were delicious and complimented my meal. I had the beef Carpaccio. The meal caught my eye due to having artichoke with it; however they ran out and offered me arugula. The entrée and the complimentary food quickly filled me up. I liked the portion sizes. My waiter was spot on. I ordered a flourless chocolate cake to go. The waiter included a fork for me and two free cookies. The cake was rich. Kinda wish I went with what the waiter suggested ricotta cheese pie. Overall the experience was lovely. I enjoyed my meal. The cookies though– I could taste the baking soda. It left a strong aftertaste. Not overly sweet and was okay. Maybe I can go to a five if I ordered something else that isn’t simple to prepare.

The inside of the restaurant smells really bad. It was a chronic old weird musty disgusting smell. I was so surprised how someone can sit and eat in there. We opted to eat in the patio, which looks a lot more romantic and pretty in the pictures than in person. Super small side restaurant with a small patio that had dying bushes and trees as the border Came with complimentary crusty bread was it? With a light tomato salsa with real chopped tomatoes onions cilantro and citrus. Also came with this thicker creamy sauce that was kind of like. I’m not sure. It felt Greek to me? Like hummus but not hummus Salame pizze: this turned out to just be pepperoni pizza. Darn it. But it was extremely thin crusted and thin overall. Actually very good considering the expensive price. A lot of cheesy. Super strongly cheese but they went too light on the marinara sauce Pappardelle alla bolognese: this was pretty good! Turned out to be nothing more thn just bolognese pasta but made more elegant. Dark creamy white sauce with bolognese veal pieces in it. Very finely chopped Gemelli Regina: light red creamy pasta sauce with chicken and broccoli. Nothing too special but the sauce is so good! Both pastas can be microwaved and no oil excess came out! Bonus from me Pros: –kind of a romantic feel with the white Christmas lights hanging overhead out on the patio and the small candles lining the windows –nice friendly service –decent food –no wait –nice place to eat if you want just a quiet tucked away restaurant –residential street parking available across the street or you can pay $ 10 for valet at the front hotel restaurant Cons: –price is too expensive for it to be charged like fine dining when it isn’t a fine dining restaurant –extremely smelly on the inside. It smells very old and ancient and kind of sweaty. Very stuffy too

this is a very cute and small italian place hidden away on a back street in beverly hills. at first we were a little disappointed at not being able to sit out on the back patio, but ended up having a great time anyway. the pita they serve is a little stale-tasting, but the dips(tomato chunks and hummus) were really good. they have a few reasonably priced wines, but none sold by the bottle(that i saw). it was busy, and they would have benefited from another server or two. but overall, i was not in a rush so we took our sweet time getting out of there.

One of my new favorites! Impeccably timely, polite, and charming service paired with truly delicious food at a very fair price point in an adorable, quaint location. Skip Dan Tana’s and come here if you’re needing some Italian love before a show at the Troub! Our entire meal, we had 3 different gentlemen checking on us and making sure our drinks were full, table was bussed, and that the food was on point. Oh and was it ever! We started with burrata and prosciutto, one of my favorites. It was a generous full burrata ball with a plate of prosciutto, topped with aged balsamic and sliced basil, served with fresh house made flatbread. For an entrée, I had the fettuccine Bolognese, which is made with veal and a deliciously big portion also. My friend Jessica had penne with chicken and broccoli which was great too. There are so many more items I can’t wait to try on the menu — my inner fat kid is addicted! We opted to finish with tiramisu, our go to, but the lovely servers also brought us the flourless chocolate cake, which stole the show. Warm, creamy cocoa goodness, not to sweet but oh so rich. I will cry for this every time I PMS for the rest of my life.

Quaint Italian restaurant located below the Beverly Terrace Hotel. The entrance is pretty difficult to find unless you’re looking for it, so keep your eyes peeled for a small opening in an ivy-covered wall that leads into a patio. This patio seating area precedes the main door of the restaurant. Parking: Valet only, or you can park on the residential streets for a 2-hour limit. Service: Amici was not crowded at all. I came on a Friday for lunch with a group of four, and the restaurant was quite empty… only two other small parties. Staff was polite and attentive throughout our meal. As soon as we sat down, our server brought us a full basket of pita bread with bruschetta and hummus! Such a great complimentary starter while we perused the menu. Food: — Linguine Al Pollo Affumicato E Caprino — Linguine with smoked chicken, sundried tomatoes, and goat cheese. The sauce had a slight sweetness, and there was just the right amount of sauce to coat the pasta. The goat cheese complimented the smokey flavors of the chicken and sundried tomatoes perfectly! — Linguine Con Scamponi Alla Griglia E Vongole — Linguine with grilled Hawaiian shrimps, Manila clams, and calamari in a light spicy tomato sauce. Seafood was fresh, and the sauce was not too spicy. — Small Chocolate Chip Cookies with powdered sugar — Complimentary dessert! Just the right size to satisfy our sweet tooth after lunch. Definitely a hidden gem in Beverly Hills. I’d like to come back to try some of their other dishes!

I thought the food was decent. This is a very well-hidden restaurant in Beverly Hills, but really in the Weho nightlife district. You have to cross Doheny to get there, and it’s on the first floor of the Beverly Terrace hotel. There is 2-hour parking on Doheny if you don’t want to valet. In any case, it’s a small restaurant with both and indoor and outdoor seating area. The outdoor front patio area is cute, but a bit overlit I felt. They do have those awesome 25W old-school bulbs strewn overhead… one of those LA trends. Now onto the food. I ordered the pork chop($ 25), which is decently priced and cooked. It came with freshly prepared broccoli and carrots. Perfect texture. The pork chop itself I felt was a little undercooked for medium, so it tasted a bit gamey, but overall good flavors. I also tried the tenderloin, which was my favorite. Juicy, flavorful. The salmon was decent, but nothing to boast about. Average portions. Good wine selection. It’s a nice little establishment that isn’t overcrowded. If you’re looking to escape the craziness that is Weho on the weekends, but still want to be walking distance for your plans later in the night, this is a good solid Italian establishment to grab dinner.
