Some of the best sushi along with the best-WORST service. Its a damn shame. Took over an hour and a half for 2 rolls at lunch. Owners are out of town and the workers are taking advantage of it. Saw them in the parking lot smoking weed before their shift. Normally I’d be ok with that but these guys are NON-FUNCTIONAL stoners. Love their sushi but I won’t be here for a few months until the owners get back.

Loved it! I ordered the FireDragon which was right up my alley. This is one of those places that I hope I remember. Nice environment, everybody seems to get along very well. They all seem to really know their customers… especially Joyce. Don’t sit in her seat… she is there everyday at the exact same time for lunch and dinner! That alone should tell you how good it is. Definitely check it out!

Delicious sushi. Ask for clay! And ask for the cold saki! The yellow tail and salmon was incredible

Food is great and good quality. The service is a little unorganized and the staff can make some mistakes so double check your order. The owner is a little stingy so think before asking for any extras.

Favorite sushi place!!! I’ve been to many different places around Glendale… The valley and non seem to compare to the crazy fish!!! My favorite is Kinta Roll and California tempura roll!!! If any one is around the area you should defiantly check this place out.

By far my favorite sushi place! This is a local, small sushi place with the best sushi in LA. Their sushi and dishes are just amazing! It tastes great, rolls are big and filling. My absolute favorites are the kinta roll and the salmon tempura roll. Cons, they charge for spicy mayo and eel sauce. I think that’s legit rediculous. I understand they give you plenty, but I just need a lil bit, I don’t need to have a bowl of spicy mayo and I don’t think charging at a sushi restaurant would be fair! Also, don’t accept Amex and only open certain hours in the day. I’ve tried coming here so many times and they’re closed. Also, Sometimes gets pretty crowded and there’s no making reservations or anything like that. All in all, love coming here to get my sushi fix!

Came here around 7pm on a Thursday. Sushi was amazing. Service was amazing and fast. It is one of the few places in LA that has retained it’s original quality of food through rising costs and multiple recessions. I have lived out of LA for the last decade but I started going to crazy fish about 20 years ago. Crazy fish is where I learned to use chopsticks and developed a taste for raw fish. It is my gold standard for quality and excellence in sushi. I was back in LA this week visiting family and we had the good fortune of going to Crazy fish last night. Everything was perfect. We order spicy tuna salad to share, spicy tuna, California rolls, albacore sashimi, baked yellowtail sushi, fried green tea ice cream and more. Everything was perfect. The quality of the albacore sashimi was fricken amazing. New to sushi or not into raw fish? Get the chicken teriyaki, baked yellowtail roll, you will not be disappointed by their amazing teriyaki sauce, high quality nori(seaweed) and rice. Never had fried ice cream? Stop reading and get it. No, don’t argue or tell me about calories. Just get it and enjoy. New to sashimi? Crazy fish is a great place to start. Their sashimi is often served with garnishes and toppings that can help you with the new textures. Their fish is top quality. Other rolls I would recommend: Rainbow roll, softshell crab, spicy salmon(any of the three or so varieties they have, including the tempura). You know what… just go, eat delicious food, and have fun.

It’s pure grub sushi. Their rolls are very big. One is even enough to fill you up and they will pack it with good fish. They don’t skimp on anything and they definitely are good at presentation. Their fish is not A+ quality, but its not fishy either. The value is great and they are on top of their service. Its very fast casual, but you do deal with a waiter. The place definitely deserves 5 stars for what it is and the pricing. A lot of people here knock Crazy Fish because they don’t understand the business model and they just never cared to get to know the lady who runs the place. She is always on top of her business working hard and she gives you guys what you are craving and even with your bad reviews, you guys still go back. Yes she charges for sauces like spicy mayo and eel sauce. However, the amount she gives you is enormous and enough for everyone to share. You don’t have to keep asking for more like other restaurants. It is totally worth the convenience. The ginger is always on table and plentiful as well. Crazy Fish is not Nobu, but they also aren’t charging you $ 100 to eat there. So judge this place on what you get for your money. In other words, don’t hate.appreciate.

My bad for not believing the mixed ratings on Unilocal.I spent $ 70 on a to go order of Sushi. The place smells horrible, but there were customers dining with smiling faces so I figured this was a good sign. The owner was there, and I found her to be pleasant enough but maybe that’s because I killed her with kindness so she had no choice but to force out a grin. The dude with the pompadour was hard working and sweet. The food though, UGGHHHHH! Horrible. My kids took a couple of bites and said they were afraid to eat anymore. It was horrible. A few hours later my son was throwing up and showed signs of food poisoning. We had to throw 85% of it out. That has never happened EVER.

Wow where do I begin. The owner who owns the place answers the phone and can’t even speak English and she ruins the order every single time. The rolls are 10x smaller than before, the fish smells and the texture does not look grade A. Overall my experience there was very bad and I don’t think I will go back for a very long time. Coworkers are okay. But the two owners(her name is komiko) is the rudest person.

I honestly don’t know why this place is rated poorly. The service here was good and fast, food is fresh and tasty, prices are ok. I rate it 4 stars for one reason, the atmosphere in the restaurant is really boring, you could never hang out here, you just can’t, no interior design, really bad music and it just seems a bit rusty. This place is great for a quick lunch or snack, that’s about it !!

This place is a perfect example of what happens when you get greedy! I use to go here all the time as a kid and you would have to wait probably 30 minutes to be seated but it was worth it for quality, size, and price! They’ve always had bad service though, especially when you call them to try to pick up! I’ve been there a few times recently and the service was much better, but the portions of the food went down and prices went up! They aren’t that busy anymore, probably for this reason in general! The lady who owns the place has become much nicer but is still a bit cheap charging you for anything possible! Overall worth going now a days.

Food took over 45min to arrive. Restaurant seemed completely disorganized. There were people who came and left during our waiting period. Our waiter was unapologetic, food and service and was not worth coming back. I truly love sushi, but this place wouldn’t stay on my list of restaurants.

Twice now we came here on a Friday at 9pm and they were already closed(they are supposedly open till 10pm). It’s not even that good except for like 3 items. Service was always cool to us. I’m done with this place! Goodbye!

I’m really not sure how this place has earned only 2 ½ stars — usually a restaurant only deserves such a low rating if I leave with a stomachache and don’t want to come within miles of the place. But I would return to Crazy Fish if I was in the area! We were seated right away on Thursday evening. We waved to our servers throughout our interactions(since this place is notorious for bad service) but he was attentive and never gave us any problems. I tried their Shiitake Miso Soup and their Spicy Albacore Roll(forget if this is the exact name, but similar), and both tasted fresh! The rolls aren’t overpriced here and their portions are pretty huge, which is always nice. Inside, the actual restaurant isn’t fancy or well-decorated, but it does the job and seems clean. There is a parking lot at the end of the block that is shared with several other shops, and some street metered parking as well.

I love their sushi, there’s no doubt about it. The salmon tempura roll, their kinta roll, and their crispy rice are my favorites. Their waiters aren’t so bad either. But what makes me give them 2 stars? THEOWNER. I’ve never met a cheaper person in my life!!! She wants to charge you for anything and everything. When you order sushi to go, she charges you an extra .10 for every soy sauce pack. Are you kidding me??? That doesn’t even cost her a penny. It gets even worse believe it or not. My friends and I were eating there once and we had some sushi left over so we asked for a to go box to pack the rest of our food. After I packed my sushi I took the little box of ginger and put a few pieces of ginger in the corner of my to go box. As soon as the owner saw me do this she ran to my table and started yelling«NONONO» until I asked her what’s wrong??? She said if I wanted to take Ginger to go I had to pay for it. Now keep in mind when you go eat there there was a tub of ginger on your table and you can eat as much of it as you want what difference would it have made to her if I took a few pieces in my to go box for my leftover sushi? This woman is just so low and cheap it sickens me. She’s the only reason I don’t go there as often as I’d want to. OH, and– I get the same exact thing every time I go there but for some reason when she is there and she rings me up my food is always more expensive.

I wouldn’t say«Mc Donald’s Sushi» the sushi is actually amazing, it’s different than most sushi places because the rolls are a lot bigger and fill you up. It’s honestly the perfect place to get a quick bite to eat especially if you’re looking for sushi, there’s no where else like it. The thing is you get what you’re paying for, obviously you’re not gonna get Nobu sushi at Crazy Fish, but for what it is I would def give it 5 stars as far as taste and quality of food. I can see why people would say the service isn’t the best, which is why I can’t give it 5 stars overall, but«that little asian lady» is actually very nice, she can seem cheap at first but in reality(I’ve been coming here for years and have had many conversations with her) she is very against people who waste food and therefore charges for everything including spicy tuna, eel sauce etc. so she can make sure people don’t waste. This can get very annoying but once you hear her point of view you can at least understand where she’s coming from even if you don’t agree. The ambiance is very casual, again it’s somewhere you can go get a quick bite and enjoy yourself. I definitely recommend trying the place at the very least, I doubt you will be disappointed, I don’t think the reviews really do it justice.
