I came here around one year ago and I left the place a little bit disappointed. My left eyebrow is slightly higher up than my right one so everytime I go to a eyebrow designer I ask them to try to make them even. They usually tell me what they will do in order to make the two eyebrows look alike but the designer of this Ecobrow never said anything in advance and just started to «shape» my eyebrows. By the end of the process I started to talk to him and ask him some tips about filling the brows and things like that but he apparently was anxious and just wanted me to leave the place asap (he was not rude at all but I felt like he just wanted me to leave because he had more important things to do) and as soon as the client that was outside waiting for him got inside he completely changed and was super nice to her (apparently she was a old client of him). I’m not a business expert or anything like that but I assume that if you want your business get bigger you should treat all the clients the same way no matter how long they are your clients.
After this uncomfortable situation I decided to go home and not take it personal. The result was really desappoint, my eyebrows looked really clean and apparently no mistakes were done but for my surprise the difference between them got more evident after the brow shaping. I paid around 60 dollars (I think 20 dollars would be fair enough for the service received) for basically nothing because the main reason I wanted to get my eyebrows done was to correct the difference between them and I actually got the oposite result. I just wore makeup on my eyebrow everyday for two months until my hair was grown again.

This is the place to be. Guys listen up! I’ve been doing my eyebrows for a couple of years now and I use to go to Ziba Beauty until I found out my good friend (I met her there) was no longer working there.
So I ended up getting in contact with her and she told me she was working here. Wow. I love the ambience here. Everything feels so ornate and just amazing. It never feels busy since it’s by appointment only I believe but why wouldn’t you make an appointment? You don’t want to be waiting.
Guys specifically. If you want a good clean-​up brows, call and make an appointment with Edith. She’s amazing! Hands down. I’ve been going with her for years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Very nice and friendly and easy to talk to.
You won’t be disappointed. I promise you that.

Marco works a very limited schedule — sometimes he’s there, mostly hes not. You book appointments via text with God knows who — and this person is dim at best. I’ve gone back to waxing at Gibbons Brows in Salon Republic on Sunset they are reliable and reachable. Free parking in the structure. They are the best Eyebrow waxers in LA after Anastasia — and wayyyy more affordable.

I haven’t actually made it back in the area to try them again. I live in Orange County but the owner has contacted me twice to make it right and that alone is worth 5 stars!

The cutest, classiest place inside 489 off of Robertson (cross street: Witworth) Edith is my absolute eyebrow Q.U.E.E.N. This shop is amazing! The décor is hot & fab — very modern. These artists are amazing, professional and above all, make you look & feel like a true super star! Edith is a true T.A.L.E.N.T. !!! You can’t go wrong with her — she makes everything look effortless. You will always be greeted with a gigantic smile! Easy street meter parking too!

I just moved to LA and one of main concerns when moving here was «who’s going to do my eyebrows now!». I have very think brows and not everyone knows how to do them. I can say with confidence Marco is AMAZING. My eyebrows have never been more beautiful than after going to him. Amazing personality too.

Marco stands out among all the rest. I usually come home with cleaner brows but Marco shaped them in a way that was perfect for my face.

I have always been super picky about my eyebrows. I have waxed and threaded and never left happy. I have tried over 30 places and finally stumbled across Marco. He not only makes eyebrows that define your face, but he takes his time. He threads piece by piece each hair. Most other places they take big clumps of hair off leaving you with super thin eyebrows. I love his work. You will leave happy!

I’ve been going to Marco for my brows for years. First of all, his hands are so gentle that it makes the pain of threading much easier to endure. Second of all, if you value having someone who LISTENS to what you like and REMEMBERS what to do the next time you see them he is the guy for you. I literally go in, don’t say a word, and he knows exactly what to do. No need for a lecture or discussion about what I don’t want. He’s talented. A true artist. He will make your brows look like art. I have only had my brows done once, when I was a teenager. Luckily, I can easily get away with a simple pair of tweezers and a few pulls of some stray hairs when it comes to my brows.
But, I have an important shoot coming up and wanted to look a little less hippy, and a little more chic.
I was scared! I don’t like doing ANYTHING to my face! IT“S MY FACE!!! And it’s a good one! BUT I figured with his stellar reviews I could give him a try. And guess what?!
HE IS FAB!
He was so fast and did such a gorg job! Kept my natural shape and just made my brows more groomed and beautiful!

I am so glad that I did. Besides loving my eyebrows. I loved Marco’s spirit, and he was so sweet to boot. I also purchased his eyebrow wax, which fills in my eyebrows as well as sets them in place. Yes, Marco may be more expensive than my local place in the city. But I was in need and glad to find him.

Marco Ochoa is amazing! I have been threading my eyebrows for 2 years now and HE is as good as it get when it comes to threading! Minimal pain, no scarring, and a really natural look! I’ve been getting my brows threaded for about 8 years now so I’ve experienced LOTS of different threaders/​threading places. This is the most expensive one I’ve been so far at $ 25 per threading. I’ve gone to Ziba before in OC, Merle Norman in OC, Styles in LA and other random places.
I have to say that Marco is a lot more precise when it comes to shaping than most of the other threaders I’ve seen; every single hair is exactly where it should be and when filled in my brows look full and lush. He’s an artist when it comes to brows and I appreciate that because I am obsessed with my own eyebrows. I’m always looking at them, filling them in and I get annoyed when they are off, growing in weirdly, etc.
He shaped my brows just right; it’s not too arched but just right. I have «problem brows» btw; I have bald spots from overplucking and over trimming them when I was younger in addition to having hair that grows downwards instead of sideways (like normal people’s brows).
I’ve seen threaders before who weren’t as much of a perfectionist and it would irk me if there were a few stray hairs that would mess up the shape (too long etc) a bit. Brows frame your face and when they are «off» they can detract from your looks so it’s worth it to get them looking perfect.
I also noticed that Marco’s threading technique is very painless; threading generally makes my eyes watery. I have a high pain tolerance but if you are frightened of pain then I would highly recommend you go here because I didn’t feel a thing. Will definitely come back.

I am very happy with Marco’s work. As I usually get my eyebrows done in NYC for under 10 bucks, it was hard for me to justify shelling out $ 25 for threading. Boy, I am so glad I did it. Marco took his time, and listened to my concerns. He brought the arch down, and smoothed out the angles. This is the best my eyebrows ever looked.
In addition, the store sells organic cosmetics, so I walked away with a very nice eyeshadow, which I’ve used almost everyday since I bought it. Do your eyebrows a favor and visit Marco!

As an erstwhile NYer, I’m REALLY obsessed and meticulous about my threading; in any given neighborhood you can get AMAZING work for 7 or 8 bucks, $ 10 the max. So, I got the GiltCity deal for Eco Brow to see what Marco was working with.
I’m beyond thrilled! While the price was steeper than what I usually pay back home, the price point is fair, as he does GREAT work and really knows what he’s doing. I have very fine and (allegedly) thick eyebrows that do not grow evenly, which makes it hard to find someone that doesn’t give me chola eyebrows or barely touches them. Marco made them look full, even and extremely flattering! I will absolutely be back and have already recommended him to a woman at my gym who literally stopped and asked, «where do you get your eyebrows done?» :)
