Exclusive Collections Gallery

This art gallery is intimate, well-​appointed and ideally located. I first found out about EC Galleries while strolling around the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego. A great find! I’ve been to the one in Laguna Beach as well, unfortunately it’s now closed, but I was told they’re opening one in Breckenridge, Colorado. I’m a big fan of several of their artists. One of the artists they represent is Royo. My family has a Royo collection and I was ecstatic that I had the opportunity to meet this amazing artist up close and personal at the Laguna and Beverly Hills location. He flies in from Spain, so as you can imagine, it was a thrill to chat with him. He’s awesome!
The gallery’s consultants are informative and engaging. The displays and exhibits are neat and appealing. Their artist receptions are warm and welcoming. The gallery also has a glossy newsletter that is sent out which includes interesting stories about the artists, the staff, clientele and upcoming events. I always look forward to their offerings.
If you ever find yourself on South Beverly Dr. in Beverly Hills, do stop by EC Gallery. It will be well worth your time. Your senses will thank you!

I too discovered this gallery when they had the Dr. Seuss exhibit-​which I read
about in the LATimes-​I think they have many other ways of announcing their
exhibits, but it’s just lucky I saw the one small article-​because I was
fascinated and charmed and delighted. I THOUGHT it was just going
to be a collection of «Dr. SEUSS HATS» but that turned out to be only
a small section=there were wonderful lithographs, original prints and
taxidermy! YES you read that correctly. I can’t begin to explain what I
saw but I would have bought all of them – if I were living another life
with unlimited funds. Alejandro Gonzalez was very very charming
and sent me information-​promptly. Alas the exhibit has left, but
I will always have the memories… and maybe someday be able
to make a decision and find a way…

This is a lovely art gallery in the heart of Beverly Hills. Their normal routine is to display work from about 10 living artists, which can be purchased. But I went on a truly magical day… to see the work of Dr. Seuss.
It was clear from how the Seuss exhibit was handled that they put care and compassion into every work displayed. The staff will happily answer your questions, and took the time to attend to everyone without being pushy to buy something. For Seuss, it was magical — not only did they have prints licensed by his estate to sell, but they gave you a peek into a little seen side of Seuss with a glimpse at his marvelous hat collection and his art of the bourgeoisie of La Jolla. I can only imagine what they do for artists who are still alive!
I would definitely return here to check out another collection. I found out about this from a radio ad (yes, I’m old school) but hoping that Unilocaling will spread the word… support the arts!
