You know those businesses that are a joy to deal with, professional and always on the ball? Well, this isn’t one of them. From start to finish Granite Escrow made mistakes that could have been incredibly costly if not caught by me(amongst other things the bank account routing information was incomplete! — Seriously — then bank a) They were unpleasant and as another reviewer mentioned — acted like they were doing me a favor. At one point I was asked to come in early for an appointment, I could not accommodate them and when I arrived on time, the paperwork was not ready and I had to wait for almost 25 minutes. Aside from the colossal paperwork errors I was also stunned that they insisted on charging me each time they notarized(with an additional charge to re-notarize after correcting their own mistake!) and $ 12.00 for parking because the lot was full. My property sold for over several million dollars so needless to say, they were making quite a bit of money from my business, I expected a bit more professionalism — or they could at least be pleasant! I would give them one star if possible.

If I could give one star, I would do it! MARKFISHMAN is the WORST escrow officer I’ve dealt with. I work with a real estate investor and he is currently actively on the market searching for houses in the area. And we have a couple hundred grands sitting there with Granite Escrow after previous deals fall apart. And we need the money to be wired to a new escrow account now. Emailed him about that yesterday before I called today. No response, which is quite UNPROFESSIONAL already. Called him today. I wish I could help not calling him a jerk but I cannot. He was completely rude. I told him what happened and who I am of course. He told me the previous cancellation didn’t go through so that the money cannot move yet, which is fine. And I told him, that’s ok we just wanna get an idea about how much money we have with Granite Escrow now because I just took over the case and my boss doesn’t know as well. He said the buyer should know that. I said he didn’t know that’s why I am calling. And he said it’s ridiculous that he doesn’t know and why should I tell you?? First of all, I think I made myself clear for you to give yourself a reason to tell me. Secondly, FYI that’s what you get paid for. My boss then talked to him and asked him to get this handled with me. But when I took over the call, this guy hang up. I mean really nobody pays you for that kind of attitude. Cheryl Noah is a Manager at Granite Escrow. I sold a property using their services this year. Working with her was like her doing me the favor. Communication was poor. Mistakes were made. Cheryl Noah made the whole escrow experience an uncomfortable one. Stay away, unless you like a lot of bad attitude.
