Perfect store for mom’s colorful well traveled friends when they are looking for one-of-a-kind fashionable gemstone jewelry and matching unique clothing. After all, these ladies have all the fine jewelry they could ever want so something really special always electrifies a clothing ensemble. This store has thrived for nearly 25 years on Bedford and Brighton for this reason — in the shadow of Neiman’s and Saks. Ask for Marlene. *By the way good food, wine and beer is across the street at Bedford & Burns to fuel up for the Harari hunting grounds. :)

I found Harari as I was walking around the area. I live near Portland, OR and am from NYC originally. The overall look of the store drew me in but it was the clothing that kept me there. They have an excellent selection of unusual pieces that feel custom even when they aren’t. Their price points are reasonable considering that a lot of the clothes are statement pieces. I was lucky to get Eric to help me shop. He’s highly skilled in knowing what will work best for different body types as well as matching clothing to your overall look. Even better, he’s honest. That’s rare. I didn’t feel like I was being«sold.» I highly recommend this store and if you’re lucky enough to get Eric to help you out — you’ll walk away feeling like a movie star :-) By the way, my only choices for their price range were moderate or pricey — there’s a good range of prices here — some moderate, others pricey. I wasn’t allowed to choose two. If you have a special event — make an appointment with Eric for a private consultation. He won’t steer you wrong.

I do all my shopping at Harari. The store is great because I am an odd size. I’m overweight, short and generally have a hard time finding clothes for my body type at department stores. The small boutique has interesting patterns, items that you won’t find in other stores. They only have one or two of a kind and after they are sold you can’t get them again. The business clothes are great. I get a lot of compliments for the clothes that I buy there. I wear the swim cover ups as summer dresses. I’ve brought coats, suits, colorful scarfs, unusual pants and jewelry. The drawback is parking in Beverly Hills. I wish that they offered parking. The other thing is that they’re website is not good. You can’t look at any of the clothes online. All in all it’s my favorite store.

Very surprised to read the negative review below. Oh well, maybe someone was having a bad day. Diane and I were on our way to quench our thirst at the Brighton Way Coffee Shop, when we spied the tempting windows of Harari at the corner of Brighton Way and Bedford Drive. The offerings in the window were making me drool, and I grabbed Diane by the sleeve and dragged her into the store. 45 minutes later we emerged with fabulous purchases. I remember Harari when it was a funky store on Pico near Robertson, that mostly carried hippie garb. Wow has it evolved! The clothing is casual but elegant, with exotic stylings, shapes and patterns. My only complaint would be that a lot of the stuff is polyester, although it seems to be a different type of polyester mixed with rayon that appears to breathe more than regular polyester. I got a fabulous pair of black wide leg, flowing paints, with a double hem with a little sheer fabric sticking out. I know they will become a favorite part of my wardrobe. I also got a couple of tops and a long exotic-looking skirt. Diane got two tops, one of them a spaghetti strap little number in white with beautiful pastel designs. Most of the other stuff comes in darker colors, but this little top was great. The people were fun, we talked to a couple of the other shoppers, and all in all it was a wonderful experience. Just looking at these clothes made me happy. And did I mention — they absolutely have the MOST fabulous scarves and pashminas(in designs and beautiful colors) that I have ever seen. Some of the stuff was in the $ 220 – 300 range, and other tops were $ 65. Something for everyone. I will be back again and again to see what other things they have to offer. For anyone who remembers Laize Adzer that used to be in the Century City mall, if you liked her clothing, you’ll like this stuff.
