Michael was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help me find the product I was looking for. One thing that separates this store from others is that the premium remains the same. In my experience, this is hard to find in Los Angeles. Also, Michael ensured that he would be able to order a product if it is not in stock. After much searching online I found LA gold and silver and I am happy they are around. I ended up going around and around to different currency exchange places and no one would take my Venezuelan currency until after calling around and going to local places I was referred to them. From the moment I called they where very professional and patient over the phone. In person they helped me calculate what could be exchanged. Not only did I bring my hard to exchange currency and got paid for it here, they also gave me top dollar for my euros and pounds. They have lots of beautiful jewelry I will be stopping by again soon. Had a coin that I don’t need or use and wanted to see how much it was worth, sent a photo to inquiry after hours and the next morning got an immediate response! I had a good experience here. I checked out several other places before I came here and to my surprise they offered the best price closest to my goal. Quick, easy, in a nice little shop, not some pawn shop or guy behind glass wall.
The only thing is the location. It’s just a little bit hard to find. The street address looks like the entrance to a parking garage. It’s actually a wide corridor with several shops tucked away inside including an art gallery.
Anyways, cant complain, I would defiantly recommend this place.

I brought some old Israeli coin sets in to be assessed and walked out with cash (mostly because of their silver content). Michael spent the time to go through them with me and I’ll definitely be going back. There’s a public parking structure a couple blocks away and it wasn’t busy in the middle of a weekday. I recommend them.

The response from these blood suckers says it all. A reputable business would’ve apologized for my bad experience with some sort of explanation on why they made their decision the way they did. This place is great! My mother had given me some of her old silver jewelry to sell since she didn’t wear it anymore and it was a mass of random tangled up chains, earrings, and bracelets. When we arrived Michael was about to run out for an errand, but put that on hold to help us immediately. He tested all the jewelry and was very thorough. He was very upfront about the whole process and we walked about with more money than we were even expecting. They also had a beautiful collection of antique items that were fun to look at while we waited. I’d definitely recommend these guys if you want to sell silver or gold.

So today was an average Thursday: 90 min with Adam my trainer, Lunch Earth Bar– WeHo and selling gold coins. But where to go?
Imagine every seedy pawn shop in a 70’s Oliver Stone film, now think of the exact opposite– now you have it.

I was pretty nervous about bringing Mike and Brian my old jewelry to sell. But it was actually very enjoyable. Mike was so careful to tell me what he was doing, showed me which of my items were plate and which were 14K, discussed the history of various styles of jewelry I’d brought. It was a great experience, and I took home more money than I expected. I would definitely go back!

It was thanks to reviews I read somewhere else that I found this gem of a place off the street in a sort of mews off Camden in BH, so I thought I’d add my review to Unilocal to help anyone else who wanting to sell precious metals, coins or jewelry. Not only was it effortless, fun and fascinating, we didn’t for a moment think that maybe we should try somewhere else. These guys are so knowledgeable, honorable and thorough, I wish they were doctors! I can’t wait to go back!

I highly recommend as a place to sell your gold and silver. My wife came home from the mall the other day and said The Gold Guys had given her an offer for $ 500 on a small bag of gold. I told her she should shop around rather than take your first offer from a place in the mall. So, I did a little googling and found this place. I was highly suspect due to their location off Rodeo Dr. I explained to my wife that they would have a high overhead. But, we were going to hit 3 – 4 places and compare. The super nice guy working there told me that they pay 75% of melt value. I had just read online that a place downtown in the jewelry district paid 70% and they were highly recommended. So, we sold the same bag for over $ 700 plus some other gold we were waiting to sell after comparing prices. You can tell from speaking with the guy right away that he is honest. I will return if I have the need.

Bryan and Mike are as honest as it gets in terms of jewelry, antique, silver and rare coin bullion sales and purchases. I send people there always and they have nothing but glowing reviews. Look no further.

I had my gold wedding ring from a previous marriage appraised by three shops. These guys gave me the best price.

Simply put, I was in a bad position. I needed money and I didn’t need my high school class ring. (It happens) Well, after going to one store with a prominent «We Buy Gold» sign on the front and not even being let in because of my appearance (which I will admit could be kind of, well, homeless-​ish at times) I was looking for something better.
Searched for «gold 90 034» and the Unilocal review of this place popped up. I called, and they said come on over. I parked in the free lot across the street, as was described in the write up. Walked over and received kind and generous service.
The experience of selling something of personal value for personal survival can be pretty tough…, excruciating, actually. Its a pride eating MONSTER. But Bryan was very professional and gave me a VERY fair price for my ring. We chatted for a while about the gold business and I came away very impressed! I can’t wait to come here as a big shot one day and buy some of the awesome things he has on display. All in all, this wasn’t as painful as it could have been and, definitely, it was as good as he could make it on his end.
If I’m in dire straights and need to sell some more gold, I’ll definitely be back to this place.
