I tried the some like it hot roll and the red volcano roll. Both were very good. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi was. The service wasn’t the best, but definitely not the worst. Give this place a try! If I had read the reviews before coming I probably wouldn’t have tried it, glad I didn’t! Will definitely come back here.

Just went there. Sat for 15 minutes with no waitress talking to me or giving me a menu. She cleared stuff from the next table so she knew I was there. The restaurant was about a third full, so she wasn’t overworked. 15 minutes with no attention, no menu and no service is as bad as it gets. I left.

Food is not even that great. Lunch time is ridiculously packed due to it being the only casual sushi dining in the area. Avoid if you can. It is better to just grab a panini if you’re looking for a quick meal. Service is just awful! Why won’t they hire more staff? The waiters/waitresses always look angry and overworked. Good luck trying to get their attention for more water.

I’ve gotten takeout from here a few times and it’s nothing special. Foods pretty good but nothing you couldn’t get in Sawtelle or Little Tokyo. Low review is mostly due to the service. This place REALLY needs to hire more servers. I try to call in my orders ahead of time, and the phone line is ALWAYS busy. Their brochure has 3 different numbers to call, one of which doesn’t even work. If I’m lucky enough and someone answers the phone, they put me on hold, put the phone down, and I’m left listening to the restaurant for 15 minutes. They forget you’re there, and when you hang up and try again, the phone line’s busy because the phone is still sitting on the table. When I go in to pick up my food, the servers are too busy with the tables to help me. I feel bad because I don’t want to be THAT customer badgering the servers when they’re already understaffed and juggling a million other things, so I really hope this place brings more people on so all their customers can receive top service, not just some.

This is one of my favorite sushi places in town. The quality of the fish is very good. For the price, this is the best deal you can get in the area. The servings are pretty generous. Very casual place and the service is great. Everything that i ordered was excellent! I highly recommend the red volcano roll, miu roll, and yellowtail jalapeño sashimi!

Their customer service is the worst, you will not get acknowledged specially during lunch rush hours. Sushi is pretty good.

Stopped to get a beer on my way to an appointment. Mediocre at best with pretty high prices for what it is, probably because it is in Beverly Hills

Could do zero if I could. Worst restaurant I have ever dined at. 1. Took 20 minutes to bring a cucumber roll(resturaunt was not even busy) 2. Found cockroach on my plate. Waiter did not accommodate me, but rather just took away the plate. Did not even bring me a new one. 3. Went back at 8:53, kitchen closes at 9. Waitress said I could not come in. Overall, if you’re looking to get cockroaches and bad service, go here. If not, stay away at all costs.

Worst service I’ve ever had can’t believe this not only was the food bad but the service even after numerous attempts to ask them to be attentive they still were not other people in the restaurant were also complaining I don’t really leave reviews but there was so many things wrong I’m just getting angrier thinking about it So rude food is garbage there good reviews were from long time ago don’t get sucked in

Randomly went in here as I had to do business in the area & was pleasantly surprised. I got in when it opened and was going to sit outside to get fresh air, but there was a smoker who ruined that experience, so had to go inside to get a decent experience. I ordered the Red Volcano roll randomly and think it was not too spicy as it’s ingredients described. The combination was delightful, fresh, well prepared, and I sat at the sushi bar and complimented the sushi chef. I was still hungry so I got the eel avocado hand roll which was $ 8.50, very pricey for me and my total expense was $ 25. I invited a friend to stop by but alas, they didn’t join me here, but nonetheless I had a fabulous lunch here on my own. It’s a hole in the wall sushi place, but by the time I left around 12:30, it was getting very packed and that’s when I decide to bail.

With a little more variety on the menu they’d get 5 stars. Good rolls at decent prices!

This place is amazing! Great Service! The Vizzy roll is the best. All the sushi is quite fresh.

Note I rarely to never give one-star reviews. This is the worst sushi lunch experience I’ve ever had. First, the fish was terrible — salmon had some unknown vague liquidy material atop it. Rolls came apart. Order came out in reverse order(sushi, then miso, then salad, then edamame). Edamame was soft and lukewarm. Server didn’t bring the wine. Woman next to us coughing nonstop(not restaurants fault, but never brought her a drink). Then they brought us the wrong bill(people next to us complained about slow/no bill as well).

We go here atleast 2 a week. The food is SUPERGOOD! but the service sucks! They only have 2 servers and it will take them atleast 15 minutes to get you a cup of water! But like I said the food is really good so two thumbs up!

10 months since my last visit stopped by after visiting the Dr. Place was packed for a Friday at 2pm. Indulged with a Sapporo Premium Beer and my sushi: salmon belly, albacore, yellowtail, wild Spanish mackerel, seared scallop with truffle oil, red snapper with yuzu, and ankimo. They were all out of the Japanese Uni so no hand roll for me. The rice was not cooked all the way and no it wasn’t ala dente it was confirmed they did not cook long enough. My fav’s: Red Snapper Salmon Belly Seared Scallop

I have passed by this spot more than a million times and never noticed it until today. I got a few different rolls for me and my sisters and they were all amazing. Everything was fresh and so good. Its a small little cute place. You can get 2 hours free parking right across the street. They do have a sign up that says it can take over 30 minutes to get your food during lunch time. It’s definitely a nice quiet no rush kind of place. I’ll definitely be back.

After reading other people’s reviews I’m wondering if I could have possibly the wrong place? Sayuri is definitely a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Beverly Hills which gave me high hopes that this would be a hidden gem. Unfortunately these hopes were short lived. There isn’t a wide selection of specialty rolls so I decided to stick with a classic Rainbow roll instead. The shrimp was terrible, the roll was poorly made, and the overall fish quality was extremely poor. I honestly felt like I just picked up a to-go sushi container at the local grocery store. The only good thing about this place was the affordable prices.
