Excellent Donuts. Not Greasy. Very Fresh Tasting. Large Assortment. Friendly Service. Highly Recommend.

These are just standard donuts. There is nothing particularly of note about them. They are super cheap, however. If you want a donut, go here. If you are looking for a gem, or an experience this is not the place. Kind of annoying that, like most places in Big Bear, they do not take credit card. Extra tricky because their ATM was broken. Fortunately they are cheap enough that you can pay with change you find in between your car seats.

One of the best things about Big Bear. Best old fashioned I’ve had in a long time! Doughnuts have that little bit of crisp on the outside and soft inside. Yummy glaze. Way better than the grocery store or Starbucks doughnuts.

Best donuts EVER! We visit OJ’s only on weekends when we go to our second home in Big Bear. Without fail, the donuts are always freshly made and often times still warm, which literally makes them melt in your mouth! The owners, Chi and Ying are AMAZING, old fashioned, down to earth, hardworking, family oriented people. Always big smiles and fresh, warm donuts to greet us. A definite high light to our weekend getaways. The only not so positive thing I would say is that the interior décor is in desperate need of an overhaul/remodel…

I was in Big Bear for Memorial Day weekend with a few friends and come Monday morning we did not want any more busy restaurants so we decided to head out and grab a few donuts. OJ’s has a decent star rating so off we went. We made it right before the rush as there was only one person ahead of us, so we did not have to wait long. I ordered a dozen donut holes which were pretty good. There was enough glaze on them that I wasn’t eating plain batter, but not too much that it was overwhelming. My boyfriend ordered a cinnamon role, glazed donut and chocolate cream filled donut. He liked all three of them quite a bit, and he is a bit of a donut snob so that was a good sign. I always have to have milk with my donuts so when I walked over to the self serve refrigerator they only had the option of whole milk. Most places at least offer 2% as well, if not non-fat. I prefer non-fat, definitely not a fan of whole. The shop itself is nothing special. No cute decorations or anything, but it was clean enough. There are a few tables inside and a few outside. The tables outside were a little dirty, crumbs from the previous people who ate breakfast there. My biggest concern was the«B» grade they had received for the year, or quarter, or however that works. I used to work in the food industry and receiving an «A» rating truly isn’t hard so anything less is concerning. Apparently they had not routinely washed their hands before handling open food… hopefully they fixed that issue once this rating was given!

Save your cash, the donuts at the Vons grocery store across the street or the Stater Bros grocery store in the same parking lot are just as good and the prices are the same. You just won’t get ripped off at the grocery stores. I would of given this establishment a negative star rating if it was possible. I do not like being taken advantage of, I do not like being extremely overcharged, due to the fact I don’t speak Spanish! This is AMERICA, we speak ENGLISH here! Tuesday 4÷1÷14 was my first visit to OJ’s Donut House. I ordered a glazed twist donut and a cheese danish. The female helping me rang up my order on the cash register. She gave me a total kind of under her breath and I couldn’t understand her. I handed her a $ 20 bill and she gave me $ 11.30 change, two $ 5 bills and a $ 1 bill. Really? 2 donuts cost $ 8.70??? I paused and took another look at their menu and prices to see if I was missing something. I never left the counter, I was in shock at the cost of 2 donuts! I asked the female employee for a receipt and she stated that the register doesn’t print receipts. Which was kind of convenient for her since I was obviously overcharged… very overcharged. I insisted that I wanted a receipt so she grabbed a receipt book and asked if I would like a handwritten receipt. I stated that I absolutely would. During writing the receipt, it was obvious that my total was just over $ 2.00. I placed the $ 11.00 back on the counter and asked her why, if my total was $ 2.00 did she charge me $ 8+ She really didn’t say much, again she went into her mumbling under her breath and I didn’t understand a damn thing she said. It might be because I don’t speak Spanish and it was obvious that was her main language. Anyway, she placed an additional $ 7.00 on the counter and I took it, I told her I no longer needed the handwritten receipt. I left and I will NOT be going back! As far as the donuts go, nothing special. Just an average, everyday donut. Seriously, how difficult is it to mess up a donut?

OMG this place is AMAZING! Seriously everything here is delicious. OJ’s Donuts is conveniently located off of Big Bear Blvd in the Lakeview Shopping Center(Payless) and across from Interlaken Shopping Center(Vons, Starbucks).

This is our stop when leaving town for the weekend. The apple fritters(if not sold out) are killer. Sweet, crispy, lots of apples. They just need more of them. :-)

Why aren’t there donuts like these in Vegas??? I’m a sucker for an old fashioned donut and I think I ate three of these in a row. I could have eaten a dozen in two days if I’d bought that many and I wish I had.

I like entering a pastry shop and getting spanked in the nose by smells of bread and coffee – OJ’s donuts didn’t hold its hand out. FOOD Almost a couple dozen donut varieties peeked out from behind the thick plastic counter. They were all down-home-cooking types and looked awesome! I had bits from a half-dozen I bought and each was fluffy inside with that slight grit outside and not overwhelmingly sugary. With an excellent display of donuts, OJ’s other offerings are measly. ATMOSPHERE Although the staff was pretty friendly, I felt like I had walked into some cold, impersonal deli. I just wanted to grab and go. The feel of the inside is very simple – counter with offerings, a small side area, floor to ceiling windows. It’d be great if this place can cater more to people who want to relax, have a coffee and donut while reading the newspaper.

Tiger tails, tiger tails, tiger tails! Perfect with a cup of coffee and good company! I had both that super snowy day in Big Bear. We had a great conversation with the young lady at the counter who told us all about the donut shop. Definitely a place to stop for a quick breakfast. Fresh, soft and lovely donuts with milk or caffecito.

Ok, so this isn’t the single best donut spot on earth, but it’s a Big Bear staple in my opinion. The donuts are fresh, service is fast and friendly enough. It’s just a good, solid donut joint!

We love this place. The donuts are very fresh. Come early to get the giant donuts they feed about five. They only make a few a day so If you want a special giant doughnut call the day before and they will make you any flavor you want. We even asked them to make a half glazed half chocolate with rainbow sprinkles and the next morning it was there waiting for me. Its a great deal at only 5 bucks. Lots of selections and friendly faces behind the counter.

I didn’t tell one of my friends before leaving her house that I was going to get some donuts, she would have gotten on my case, since I do need to loose weight, BUT nothing was going to stop me 2day. I teased the owner & asked her if she can get wider doors, in case I do come back and can’t fit through them. hahahaha never mind. I do recommend them they sure have tasty donuts. Thanks for reading my review,

Great doughnuts, with wonderful fluffy texture and a lot of flavor! The service is friendly and nice, and the location is great, near Stater Brothers. Everything is good, including the simple glazed doughnuts, but the apple fritter and the chocolate/maple ones are great as well. It is where we go for doughnuts, so should you!

This is the only donut place I could find in all of Big Bear Lake. I don’t think the 7-Eleven donuts and Vons stuff counts(nothing against them but they don’t). Typical donut place with a great selection of donuts and a few croissants. I really wanted a donut but went for the ham and cheese croissant with a coffee. Nothing good, nothing bad, just average. I give them 4 stars because they are the only donut place I could find in all of Big Bear Lake and being around donuts make me happy. CASHONLY but there is an ATM inside.
