We’ve never had a bad beer here. There’s always something new on tap too. The people that brew and serve are the best. Not to mention the taproom itself. And the swag. Wish we lived closer.

The guys here did their homework. They know how to make great beer. The Belgian is literally my favorite beer of all time. Pricing is great. Best thing is they do their flights right. They don’t pigeon hole you into buying 4 or 5 beers. If you want to do a flight of 3, it’ll probably be $ 3 – 4. You want 8? It’ll probably be $ 10 or so depending on if there’s a special brew in there. They get the community involved through hosting runs, charity events and miscellaneous gatherings. The taproom is hopping every time I’m in there and it breeds an atmosphere where people just talk to each other even if they don’t know each other. The guys really know their stuff when it comes to explaining what you are drinking and why it tastes the way it does. Good music on certain nights. They allow outside food as they don’t serve any. Best brewery in the state.

Only tried the Belgian Blonde, but we loved it. Interior looked really cool, and you can bring in your own food to eat while you drink.

stopped in last Saturday afternoon… Place was pretty busy, but not loud! Both the chaps I dealt with for my flight were friendly! Very cool tap room! If you have to pass through Big Lake, definitely stop in!

I took a road trip to St. Cloud and had to stop by on the way up. My first impressions of the place were«wow, this place has a lot of space» and«I love the old barn wood over the bar». It wasn’t long before I had my flight of 7 beers in hand(and soon my mouth). The variety in all 7 brews was great to see. They had dark to light beers. Some heavy in alcohol and some light. Others hoppy, others malty. Perhaps their most unique was their Spudfest made from potatoes. There’s that creativity shining through that a taproom needs to stand out from the rest. I ended up going home with a growler of the Belgian Blonde as I have a soft spot for both. I’ll take their motto to heart. Work Sucks, Drink Beer! Now if only I could combine those two…

We will make a point to stop here whenever we can on our way up north. I’d say it’s even worth a special trip up from the metro every now and then. Excellent variety of well made beer. Even though it’s a new brewery these guys didn’t waste any time getting their s#!t together. Nice big parking lot, nice size taproom, friendly staff, cool merch, and AWESOME beer!

You could have a beer anywhere. But this taproom is something special for more than just awesome beer. There are beers there for everyone, from the newbie to the craft scene(not a hint of beer snob snootiness detected) to the«bittered» veteran, and they are all FANTASTIC.(My wife loves the Belgian Blonde; I’m more partial to the Blissful Ignorance double IPA.) The thing that’s special about this place is the buzz – friendly staff and ownership who are more than willing to talk about their beer; an open, bright atmosphere for groups of all sizes; board games; locally sourced nonalcoholic pop and coffee. Their motto is, «Work sucks. Drink beer.» All of this and more add to a warm, welcoming, fun place to have a great beer and makes Big Lake a goto destination. The lineup of beers tends to rotate, so if you go and don’t find something you like, GOBACK! Hopefully the food truck scene will catch on in Big Lake. For now, Lupulin welcomes you bringing in your own food.(We’ve seen people bring in their own picnic.) There are a number of excellent restaurants(pizza, burgers, and more) that deliver to the tap room and waive their delivery fee. Work sucks. Drink beer. At Lupulin. With your friends, new and old.
