I just rolled in here from out of town and discovered a great local café. My omelette was cooked to perfection served with toast, and I helped myself to the JOE which is very good especially considering it is a help yourself. Of course you can always order from their barista bar. I will be back.

Ooof. The one star is for the atmosphere, which is cozy and cute – that’s a good thing, because you’re going to be waiting a while. The coffee station is self-serve, which also helps you bide your time. They weren’t serving lunch on a Saturday because they were«slammed.»(They’re open 7 days, though Unilocal says otherwise). Place was less than 1⁄3 full, and the kitchen looked slow and disorganized. Waited 45 minutes for an average biscuits & gravy and a vegetarian version of the Toucan(only OK, nothing spectacular). Saw two other tables give up in frustration. Servers were friendly but inefficient. Bottom line: until you hear they have new management, stay away. Billings must have better options than this one.

This place was incredible! I was just driving through billing on a long road trip, and it was great to have such delicious food on the road. I chose the touscan, as others have recommended, and it was delicious. The environment was quaint and quiet, and the coffee delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through!

Good food, but every time I go in, they are out of at least 1 – 3 items on a group order: soup, salad, wrap, etc. the worst part is you don’t know about until you get to the cashier.

Visiting family in Billings, MT and we wanted to find a great place for brunch. It was suggested we stop by McCormick Café. It was ok. I’m not used to ordering food and then trying to find a table. The menu was limited and I ended up just getting two poached eggs on toast. My yolks were over cooked which was disappointing. Other people at the table ordered French Toast-looked pretty good. I wish they had a beer/wine license. With brunch I like a mimosa or something fun. Was it wonderful, no. Was it terrible, no. To me it was just so so.

Popped into McCormick Café on a recent visit to family in Montana. Honestly, just going to say it up front: I was not a fan. There are quite a few places in Billings to eat that are substantially better and I don’t see any need to come back here. First, the menu is on the wall to your right after you walk through the door. It is above tables, so those people get to feel like you’re staring at them while you decide what you would like to eat. Meanwhile, there is no organization to ordering. It is just a crowd of people staring at the menu and attempting to order at a counter. Perhaps a stanchion could do the trick? Next, when ordering, several menu items were«unavailable» or «out.» Make enough food to serve your menu or don’t have a permanent menu. They also wouldn’t serve their lunch and breakfast menus at the same time. Since it was still 15 minutes til they started the lunch menu, I was stuck on the breakfast menu. The food was ok. I ordered the bratwurst wrap with potatoes. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever eaten, but wasn’t the best either. It was like a giant«pig-in-a-blanket.» The brat in the middle was tasty, but it had wayyyyy too much breading on it and the breading was too hard. Still acceptable, though. Now, on to the potatoes. The potatoes themselves were good and cooked properly, but they were covered, and I mean covered, with parmesan cheese. I love parmesan, but this was awful. I wound up having to shake off my potatoes. Honestly, this place doesn’t deserve 2 stars, but wasn’t bad enough to deserve a 1. This is a solid 1.5. Meh.

Kinda blah today. They were out of the biscuits and gravy so everyone that ordered it had to think of something else to eat. French toast was good as usual but the bacon was burnt. Orange juice is way overpriced. All in all we should have went to Stella’s.

I ordered a typical breakfast meal to be safe. I ordered eggs, bacon, and banana pancakes. My eggs were great, bacon was burnt, but the pancakes were amazing! Their coffee blend is a must try! I still think Stella’s gives you more food for the price!

we ordered two montana salads(sirloin on lettuce). the cashier asked«how would you like the steaks?». i said«medium rare», she said«rare». the steak arrived well done, i mean very well done, brown and dry. why would you ask mccormick??? one star for the mistake but the salad was good. 2 stars mccormick and next time don t bother to ask.

The past memory of McCormick’s is no where near today’s experience. Breakfast was disappointing. Over cooked bacon, overly toasted bread, & carelessly prepared eggs. To make matters worse, customers were few at 8:30AM. Doubt I’ll be back.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in awhile. I came in with my wife and baby, ordered a burger and a salad, and sat down. We waited patiently for 30 minutes. Impatiently for 15 more minutes. They weren’t even particularly busy. It was a Tuesday afternoon after the peak lunch hour. My burger and bacon apparently had been left on the griddle for the entire 45 minutes — it was unrecognizable black char by the time it got to our table. The fries apparently had some sort of accident with a pepper shaker as they were black with the excessive or perhaps overzealous pepper shaking. My wife’s salad was gross at best. Wilted spinach, room temperature or warmed dressing. It was very salty, which is not very good for a fruit salad. I work at the hospital, so I didn’t have the luxury of sending the food back and waiting another 45 minutes for another meal. I won’t be coming back here, and I will tell my friends and family to do the same.

My friend and I walked in and the cashier did not greet us. She just gave us that look of «ok, you can order.» As our first time visiting, she didn’t offer me the coffee I paid for. Then she forgot the crêpe I ordered. I had to ask questions to get the things I ordered. When we did get or food, it was great. The place is cute, and the Jazz is on point. But as a traveler, if you want a lasting establishment, teach these teenagers what customer service is.

The best thing about this place for us was the coffee. Both the house blend and dancing goats were tasty and had robust flavor. When ordering I was told the waffle of the day was blackberry… What I got was a plain waffle with cut up strawberries. That was a miss. My husband got the two eggs plate with sausage. The sausage was WAY over cooked. One star is for the comfy décor and laid back atmosphere.

We are from out of town and like to try the local favorites. Our order wasn’t right, they made us the wrong crêpe, we ordered the Nutella crêpe and they brought us the lemon. We waited for the right one. My daughter decided she didn’t like Nutella once she finished it.(Too rich) I had the Monte Cristo it was very good with fruit. My son had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich it was good but comes with tortilla chips. We upgraded for $ 1.00 to get fries but they didn’t bring them. When I asked about the fries our meal was mostly devoured and we didn’t want to wait for them. They offered to refund my $ 1.00 or give us a scotcheroo to go. We took the dessert. We also orders a white confetti cup cake-it was not good.

Stopped here to fuel up before a long drive back to Denver. The breakfast burrito was really tasty and loaded with veggies. The great coffee was much appreciated after a late night partying with roller derby girls. And even though you order at the counter, the service was excellent. After one member of the group ordered later than the rest, the girl at the counter hurried to get her order out and even brought some free pastries to the table to make the wait a little sweeter. I will definitely visit here again next time I’m in Billings.

We flew into Billings and were looking for a quick bite. The place looked interesting; we like to try local places when we travel. Despite being in the shadow of the Crowne Plaza, the neighborhood looked a little dicey. The St. Vincent de Paul Center was on one corner, the Welfare Admin building was down the block, and there were some interesting-looking citizens loitering around, and a couple of American Indian guys swinging a rope at each others’ feet. We took our chances and tried the place. Good call! The Fire-Grilled Steak Sandwich was good(being from Louisiana, we felt it could have used some seasoning) and the Avocado Wrap was great. The coffee was exceptional! The service was okay; again, being from the South, our expectations could have been skewed. We were in around 1:00 on a Thursday, so not too busy. Restrooms were clean, parking was adequate, place had a vintage feel to it(I’d love to get my hands on the lighted glass display case). I would recommend it.

Ok! Well glad we came off hwy for our breakfast adventure as we were passing thru! Great iced tea(strong) and coffee. Hubby had steak n eggs but added a bowl of potatoes. He said it was great steak since he almost likes it blue. Cooked perfect! Potatoes were oven roasted tasted like mmmm. I had biscuits n gravy with eggs. Wish I had ordered the bacon extra, it looks good as it passed me by to another table. The gravy was yummy but two unidentifiable bits(bone or knuckle) in it. They must have homemade sausage. Ok full and satisfied wholey !! Next time when bob tailing coming by.

From the vast majority of reviewers this place seemed like a good enough choice for lunch. The staff was fairly nice and the atmosphere was alright… aside from the show tunes that were playing in the background. I ordered an Avacado burger, no bun. The woman asked me how I wanted it done, I said medium. 40 minutes later, here comes a char-boiled, ash-tasting burger. I was starving so I ate it, but got very sick afterwards. If you’re going to ask me how I want my burger, make it that way, please! Paying 10 $ for a small piece of hard, charred meat is not my idea of a good time. This place failed me big time, maybe they are better for breakfast…
