Arthur’s Conference Center

We had my nieces 1^st birthday party here last night. This is one of the worst places to have any event! This is not due to the location or how the place is maintained, this is solely based on the fact that the people who own this place are greedy, bitter and extremely annoying. They overcharge for the place to begin with and then the wife nags before and throughout the event. Godforbid you need to get your décor done here, she drives the decorators crazy, constantly nagged about «electricity bill» while the decorator was setting up. Would not allow her to iron the sashes on location because she said we got a deal and she wasn’t willing to pay for the electricity bill that ironing would produce. As the other post states, they are very intrusive. Throughout the event, she hangs out inside, nagging the whole time! Don’t do this, don’t do that, yelling at children and spoiling the event. She also eats our food and steals drinks to fill up her machines and what not. Furthermore, I am a photographer and I’ve photographed a couple of events here and I can say that this is not a singled out ocassion that she has done that. Regrettably due to unavailability anywhere else, we had to choose this venue. There are several places in Hoover which are much much much cheaper and provide excellent service. I strongly recommend that you do your research and have your event elsewhere, otherwise a day that is supposed to be special or fun will be ruined thanks to the people who run this place. With the service provided, the woman has the nerve to complain that her business is down and she wants to sell.
