I came her for lunch and ordered the GRILLEDCHICKENBASIL with potatoes and it did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend it!

Tazikis!!! Oh how I love your Thursday tilapia taco… by far one of my favs! If im in the mood for a light yet filling taco. Im here! They can get crowded during peak hours but the staff does a good job of getting you in & out. They offer different specials daily but my top pick is Thursday. Thursday is the tilapia taco… which is loaded with a generous grilled tilapia filet, crunchy red cabbage slaw, chopped tomatoes, & they top it with this light yet very delicious herb sauce… oh & a lime. It is very good! It comes with your choice of side & complimentary plain ruffle chips. My favorite is the roasted red potatoes! Can you say soft & flavorful? So freaking good! The cucumber salad isn’t bad either. The menu here offers a pretty decent selection of healthy options so that’s always a plus. Definitely a good chain Mediterranean spot. Check them out!

Meh. I’ve experienced better. Isn’t that the truth? Well the staff and service was for the 2 stars, they were great in helping and asking if I needed anything. However the lack of 3 stars is purely based on authenticity and quality of food. I’ve ate all over and probably over 50+ Greek, Leb, Afgan, you name it type of food. They don’t have kabobs here or anything that’s really marinated. What did I get? a plate full of under seasoned rice, under seasoned beef, and a greek salad thrown on the side of it. The Taziki sauce… named after the restaurant? Wow what a sham, I got a watered down tartar tasting sauce with huge chunks of celery on the inside… there was hardly any sauce. Tried to mix it with my over cooked beef that was tough to pull apart and tasted like nothing… the Taziki did little to flavor it. If your looking for some real good Greek/Med food look elsewhere, the night I went, I personally did not enjoy it nor think it was authentic. Beautiful restaurant, beautiful interior and clean bathrooms, if they would switch up the quality I could def see this place earning more stars.

Took my mother, son, daughter and her family for lunch yesterday at the Liberty Park location. It was very busy but they still brought our meals quickly. I’m sure that the hummus is good, saw several trays coming out with this selection, however we opted for their homemade spicy pimento cheese. You need to try this if you haven’t, really good with the crispy pita chips. Three of us opted for the Friday Special, the pasta salad with chicken that never disappoints. My son in law got the chicken wrap, no complaints there. My grandson got a sandwich of some kind and it was obliterated in short order. I was feeling extra hungry and went with the lamb platter(feast) and also had them add the grilled vegies for 1.79 extra. I was a little disappointed with the lamb not being more tender, it was tough to cut in places but the taste was outstanding. The Greek salad and their version of a basmati rice were both excellent. All in all it was really good, and service was fast in spite of it being packed. I will definitely return to try some other offerings on the menu.

THEMOSTDISGUSTINGPLACEINSIDE. I stood by the kitchen and watched them smother my salmon with butter 4 times for the perfect healthy«grilled» effect. The whole kitchen was dirty which made me even more disgusted to eat the food. Definitely won’t be here ever again

This was our first time here and the food and service were both a 10! The food was so fresh and the gyro was not that typical processed meat. I will be back every time I’m in Birmingham for sure and would recommend this place to everyone. The chocolate cake was the PERFECT finishing touch!

Any Taziki’s locations are a solid bet for good Mediterranean food. This location is particularly convenient when you are looking for a quick bite downtown. They have their own parking lot, which is more than you can say for a lot of downtown places. The places is clean and big, with a friendly, efficient staff. Pair that with their consistently good food and BAM you get a 5 star review. If you go on the weekend and haven’t eaten at a Tazikis, the«Friday Special» is a must. I think they refer to it as the weekend special. But it will always be known as the Friday special to me. It is very simple with lettuce, penne pasta, and their tasty chicken all tossed in a balsamic dressing. Great stuff. Their lamb is tender and tasty every time. I am a lamb and skordalia. It is basically a lamb wrap with a Greek skordalia sauce. The pita bread is also fresh and warm to hold this deliciousness together. I have never had anything bad at a Taziki’s. So fear not if you want to venture further in the menu. A solid go-to if we are craving some Greek!

Taziki’s Mediterranean Café puts an American twist on traditional Greek fare. Atmosphere-wise, it’s somewhere between your local family-owned Greek restaurant and a Panera bread(fast food and service, but of better quality than a place like McDonalds). The proximity of the location to downtown Birmingham/UAB is a major plus. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. I wasn’t too hungry, so I ordered the Mezedes Platter(Hummus and Taziki Dip served with Dolmades and Pita) and a small bowl of Lemon Chicken Soup for myself. Dolmades are hand-rolled grape leaves stuffed with seasoned rice and grilled onions. If it is any indication of how generous the servings are, I still have half of the soup, a bunch of pita, and dip left over from two nights ago! I highly recommend trying the Greek Lemon Chicken Soup. Although it is listed as an appetizer, the Mezedes Platter could be good as a light dinner. The only gripe I had over both of my orders was that they were a bit too salty – especially the Taziki sauce, Dolmades, and the Lemon Chicken Soup. A star off for that. The hummus and pita, on the other hand, were excellent. The Mezedes Platter comes with a heap of baked pita chips, and the soup comes with a side of two soft pita squares(my soft pitas were wrapped around my soup spoon in foil). Service was quick and easy. I called in around 6:30pm. Someone picked up the phone immediately, and there was virtually no wait when I got there. Tip: If you are a UAB employee, you get a free drink!

For deliciously fresh food you can’t beat Taziki’s. A local favorite for excellent Greek food fit for an expensive restaurant but with quick service. It’s a great place to go if you want great food in hurry. My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Feast and the roasted potatoes. They also have a fantastic Herb Roasted Pork Loin that comes with a delicious tomato chutney aioli. For a true Mediterranean flavor, order the Chargrilled Lamb, it’s superb! Want to substitute the potatoes? Then try the basmati rice. It’s equally delicious. And for a lighter meal, try the Chicken Roll Ups! Very filling and delicious also. And if you save room to satisfy your sweet tooth, you can’t go wrong with their desserts, especially the baklava! They also serve a variety of wine and beer, so come hungry, relax and enjoy the great food!

Great location downtown! Never had a problem with my food. I guess my only complaint is that I usually have to call the phone number more than once to get someone to pick up. no matter what time of day it is. However, when they answer they’re friendly and always get my order correct.

We go here a lot for lunch. The salads are very large, filling and delicious. Staff isn’t always friendly. Get there early if you can or call ahead cause it can get crazy at lunch. The décor is nice. Seating is good. Gets a 3 cause it doesn’t meet up to other Greek places that cost about the same.

I love Greek food so I had to check this place out while I was in town. Parking was a little tight. Came around 2 on a Saturday and they were family busy. Took them about 15 minutes to get my lamb gyro. Outdoor and indoor seating. Good atmosphere. Staff was very friendly.

I like this location a lot because it’s walking distance to my work(UAB). If you call in your order ahead of time, there’s virtually no wait. Also, they give UAB employees a complimentary beverage(nonalcoholic of course), which I appreciate. I would highly recommend the chicken roll ups but pretty much everything is good here!

Always delicious catering but the in-restaurant experience is lacking. Food comes out at different times and its difficult to correct an erroneous plate. The lack of a hostess makes lunchtime seating difficult since this is a popular place with the hospital crowd.

There are plenty of healthy, tasty options at Taziki, which is perfect after days of eating hospital food right down the street(there’s only so much chicken, potatoes, and greens a woman can eat). I ordered grilled tilapia and sub the rice for more cucumber salad, even though it came with greek salad already. It was super refreshing and I felt like I could actually feel my body thanking me for eating healthy, live, green salad for the first time in two days. lol! I highly recommending Taziki’s for a quick lunch if you are in the area. There are desserts like baklava and chocolate cake in little containers by the counters as well that look good, so divert your eyes if you are trying to stay on diet because they will get ya as the last minute. Fortunately, this time around I was strong, but next time… can’t be sure of my will power ;)
