A must when traveling to southern Cali. Believe me a Must it being half way point this station has the best price compare to other stations on 395 lonely route south. But a must and it being open late. Oh my gosh life saver every time. Fuel up and get snacks drinks. Honestly I love this place due to it being open middle night and the prices being real low cuase travel 30 more miles to next city you’ll see extra dollar our 2 on price. So I give them five stars for being open for late travelers like me and having prices that people pray for on lonely but lovely 395 route to southern Cali or other way when I’m heading back to Reno. Just got a snow chains. After we paid, they put a sticker«No Warranty«on the receipt. Then, asked them double check. The guy shown us the book and said it will for sure fit. Alright, we drove up and spent 30 min in snowing weather, laying on the ground, struggling. End up it will never fit! We drove all the way down, told them what happened and ask for exchange, the chains still in perfect condition. What we got is yelling and dirty look! Whatever! Lucky, 2 ladies told us we could get it 2 blocks away from K Mart. We actually, wasted $ 53 on something we could never use! Thanks for this on our X’Mas Eve!

When it comes to gasoline, price is King. Arco/AMPM generally has the lowest prices in town, and either matches or is within a penny of that mom n pop gas stop across the street. Truth be told, I only stop here I I absolutely have to, and when I’m traveling the 395, I don’t worry about a couple of bucks one way or the other when gassing up. The bathroom here has an eclectic array of graffiti… Sometimes it stinks like a homeless fellow’s bedroll; other times, it reeks of bleach. Mixed bag on that one, although neither is entirely a deal breaker– this is Arco gas station, not the Langham Hotel. I once watched a cricket jump into a black widow web in this bathroom and get whacked by the spider. Free nature show= Winning. Inside is what you would expect from a gas station minimart in the largest small town of the area. Hot dogs perpetually on the rollers, heat lamp burgers, candy bars, a soda fountain… Nothing fancy. Buy a 395 sticker and put it on your car or truck though, so when I see you on the road, I’ll know we’re Owens Valley family :)

Nothing special, just stopped off for gas when I was passing through. The gas station itself is a bit on the small side so it gets crowded easily. I did like that they sold beer as I was low on the way to my camping trip and needed to refill fast. Service was Ok unless you were a girl. The cashier was not friendly unless you were a female that he wanted to flirt with. It’s just not fair how men are treated in this country. Haha jk

Ok AMPM/Arco lets admit you are on the prowl for some cheap gas. I know I know you want gas on the cheaps but dont want to be seen as cheap huh… Well this is your answer. It is usually a penny more for a «name brand» gas than the joint across the street, has the full AMPM food services, so if you want that hot dog or burrito to be washed down by a Jolt or a Monster, they got you covered. Self service in every sense of the word. The bathrooms are sometimes clean and sometimes not. But hey its AMPM what are you expecting, SERIOUSLY??? So if the cash itch for gas strikes your fancy, head on in…
