Wax Girl

This was my first time using Wax Girl mobile esthetician services and I’m definitely impressed! I’ve seen mobile esthetician services in the Washington D.C./Baltimore area, Atlanta and Raleigh, but couldn’t find one here… until now. The Wax Girl esthetician comes to your house fully prepared for whatever service you need, she services male and female clients, is very hygienic throughout the process, takes major credit cards, and leaves absolutely no mess for you to clean up. The pleasant conversation in between made things more comfortable and was an added bonus! I think this is a wonderful service, especially because it’s hard to schedule time to get to a spa. A mobile service like this allows me to jump out of the shower and be ready for my appointment without worrying about traffic or missing appointment times, etc. I noticed that the prices are also comparable to other area spas that don’t provide personal service at your own home. I am very pleased with my first experience with Wax Girl, and I highly recommend this business to men and women. Thanks for a great experience Wax Girl!

If you don’t know, Dorian operates a mobile esthetician business where she comes to you; sets up in your home to perform the requested esthetician services.

Took an hour to wax my arms which have light hair (and there were patches left)
Uses a ton of unnecessary wax
Wax tends to get all over you and potentially your floor (she puts down paper for prevention but in my case, it still got on my floor)
Pulls hard wax before completely cool for unnecessary pain
Be aware that you should have a good amount of space and available outlets nearby for her setup as she’ll have a massage table and needs to plug her stuff in (I have a small place and didn’t know this in advance)
Thinks Ferndale is sketchy (and I love it)
No bueno. I got my arms waxed by her and was left with a few hemorrhages below my skin’s surface because the skin wasn’t held taut. It was not pretty. It looked like I’d been shooting up with bad needles. She’s a sweet girl but I’ve had much better waxing experiences. Even when I wax myself. Plus, she used way more wax than she needed to use and there was wax left on my floor. When it comes to waxing, I expect my esthetician to get the job done quickly without my having to point out the spots that were missed. I kept having to point out missed spots over and over so I just gave up and was left with light patches.
I recommend you go to a well-​established brick and mortar location.

Dorian is absolutely amazing! It was my first Brazilian wax experience and she was very patient and concerned with my pain being minimized. Dorian is very professional and is certainly an expert waxing professional. I very highly recommend Wax Girls and would not even consider using another company!

I was very nervous as it was my first time getting waxed other than my brows. Dorian made me feel very relaxed and explained what she was doing. She did a great job and I will definitely use her services again! I loved the fact she comes right to your home as that was also a bonus being in my own environment and now a loud busy salon.

She is great. Her prices are the best around. She comes on time, takes only a few minutes to set up, and honestly my Brazilian barely hurts. I’ve had a monthly appointment with her since the summer time. I usually break out after a wax, but never with her. I’ve even given her contact to my sister, who has seen her a few times too. I would highly recommend.
