I used to come here frequently on my way to work in Newark from Montclair more than 11 years ago. Moved a lot, came back to Jersey in 2016, found it and so glad they are still there. No frills but my favorite is still great: New Jersey’ own Taylor ham, egg and cheese on Kaiser roll.
I need to and will try the other breakfast meals. I recall their lunch sandwiches are good too.
I noticed at least 3 people 2 ladies and one man are still there after all these years. Highly recommend

I experienced something worse than poor service, I was simply ignored. I walked up to the counter after the last customer stepped away and began ordering. The cashier walked away, didn’t address me, and never came back. She walked back and forth trying to look busy. I was able to someone else to help me after making a fuss bur the damage is done

It’s a no-​frills hole in the wall, but I can walk to it, the staff is friendly, and they make a helluva taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich.

they have good bagels and reasonable prices. love the fact that they have turkey bacon and turkey sausage! the service is good and fast, even during lunch. the only downside is that it’s a bit confusing to order. the counter on the right is only for bagels, the one on the left is sandwiches, on a bagel or otherwise. a bit of proper signage could straighten this out without much work. the interior is a bit dark, but the bagels are good enough to understand why people would sit in the death and eat them.

I have been coming here for breakfast for many years and love it. It’s probably the cheapest breakfast in the area. You can get two eggs anyway you want, home fries, and any bagel with cream cheese for $ 1.99 before 9:00am and after 9:00am it’s $ 2.99. The chef has been the same guy cooking since I was a little kid. Now in my mid thirties I still go back on a regular basis and he knows me by name.

I am pretty much done with this place. I have continued to go up until today because it was on the way to the parkway, but on numerous occasions, just to order a toasted bagel with cream cheese, I have waited on the line in excess of 15 minutes – and for various reasons (incompetent workers, slow toaster, etc.) I came in one day and one of the workers was from behind the counter holding a dog (yuck) against her work clothes. Today, I asked for a multigrain bagel and the worker tried to give me a cinnamon raisin bagel. When I asked her since when did multigrain bagels have raisins she told me they always did. It’s just one thing after the other. They will never get my business again. I would rather drive 5 minutes out of my way for a better bagel place then wait 15 minutes for a less than mediocre bagel.

It’s a dump, but they grill a mean taylor ham egg ‘n cheese and boil up a nice bagel.

I personally love this place! They are fast and affordable, and the food is good if you are in the mood for something comforting. It is not for the calorie watchers, but it is good nonetheless.

My only hangup with Cambridge is that it smells like feet. All the time. I don’t get it…
It’s the only somewhat local spot in Bloomfield for my wife and I — the nearest one is a bit of a drive. It’s a shame there’s no really good bagel places nearby, but this place has sufficed. The bagels aren’t bad — they’re a little too «baked bread”-y for me, and I’ve had a lot better elsewhere (obviously).
It’s pretty cheap, but you get what you pay for, as always.

Friendly staff! Been there on four different occasions and most of the workers are smiling and appear happy to help you. All your food is cooked in full view.
Things to know: Order your Hot meals and coffee/​tea will be made on left cash register. Bacon, Taylor ham, Eggs, and even sliced Lox… this place has it all.
Bagel orders plain or with cream cheese or butter can be made on right cash register. Bagels are good. Best in town!
You may have to wait for a few for your food upwards of 5 – 10 minutes depending on but it is worth the wait. Plan ahead if you are in a rush.
Coffee is not the greatest but for the coffee aficionados there is a Starbucks (only a NY city block away) on Bloomfield Avenue and a Dunkin Donuts within a mile on Glenwood Avenue.
On street parking only. But perfect for the pedestrians and bus commuters. Worth a shot!

I’ve only had plain bagels here. They have been fresh and chewy. I like their quality.

I had a taste for a real bagel with BEC so for the second time (first time I didn’t eat) I tried Cambridge. The price is good but the ingredients just didn’t taste fresh to me. I got an uneven amount of bacon on my sandwich and the bagel was just ok. I’ll just stick to Hot Bagels Abroad from now on.

The bagels here are not always consistent. Occasionally hard and chewy, occasionally soft and delicious. This could be due to a lack of fresh bagels on some mornings, but I’m not really sure. Pretty decent, though. (Cash only!)

A classic, introduced to me by my SO, who’s been a regular here for years. Whether it’s takeout or dine-​in, the friendly, speedy service and delicious food is sure to please. I usually grab breakfast from here at least once every time I visit the area.
It’s called Cambridge BAGEL Factory, so, of course, you’ve gotta have one of their bagels! My SO’s sister loves them so much, she bought about a dozen to take with her to Gettysburg, PA when she started university there. I personally like the onion bagel, though lots of people love the sweeter bagels, like the cinnamon raisin.
They really know what they’re doing here; whether it’s the eggs, deli meat (especially the taylor ham), pancakes, potatoes, or bagels, you’re sure to enjoy a huge-​portioned, hearty meal.

Cambridge bagels is a local Bloomfield establishment. Service is friendly and genuine, and take-​out orders move quickly.
Very good breakfast sandwiches, fully customizable with a variety of meats, breads, and condiments. (including tasty hash browns!)
A wide variety of grilled and deli sandwiches also available, along with other breakfast selections (pancakes, eggs etc)
Bagels tasty and generous doses of cream cheese. Coffee is prepared to your liking. Very reasonable prices. Since the shop is primarily a breakfast/​lunch place they close in the mid afternoon.
