Found Dr. Patel through my dental plan, one of the only dentists in my town that accepted it. I was able to get an appointment not too far out. There’s a small parking lot in the back of the building that’s convenient. The office is in an old Victorian house; when the assistant was doing my x-rays, the floors shook so much whenever she walked out of the room to take the x-ray! Not sure how that could come out accurately. Also, I have a very small mouth, and the plastic thing she put in my mouth to bite down on was way too big and hurt so much that I had tears streaming down my face. She was not gentle about it and didn’t try to cut it down as I’ve had happen in other dental offices. Ouch!!! The rest of the exam and cleaning were as expected. I found Dr. Patel a little less than friendly though, rather cold and standoffish. Also, I have gum recession, mostly from over-brushing and I don’t know if she thought I was stupid, or what, but she asked me like five times if I used a soft or extra soft brush(yup, definitely) like she didn’t believe me, even showing me what the bristles should look like(yeah, I know how to read the words«soft» or «extra soft» on the toothbrush package, thanks). She advertised some fancy electric toothbrush(sorry, I have a reasonably priced one my last dentist recommended). Didn’t go back to her.
