Mediocre massage. Place is small, but fairly nice. The changing room is very small and only has one bathroom. Robes are very thin and not soft at all. They provide strawberry infused water in the waiting area, but it was luke warm and tasted like tap water. The service provided was friendly and welcoming, but that is the only reason I give it 2 stars. The locker room is connected to the pool, but I honestly did not want to shower in there. Instead, I walked out with wet hair in the middle of 30 degree weather and showered when I got home.

ZEROSTARS. By far the WORST experience I have EVER had at a spa and hotel. My review is lengthy but hopefully this might spare a life or two from this travesty disguised as a spa. My sister and I called two weeks before our stay to make appointments for the refresh package which includes, a facial, a massage and a spa pedicure. They said they would call us back to confirm and never did. So a few days before our trip my sister called to confirm our appointments and we weren’t even in their system. After that it took two more days back and forth on the phone because they either didn’t have enough nail techs or masseuses to accommodate us. We originally wanted to have one treatment each of the three days we were there but finally we were so sick of trying to switch things around, we agreed to do all three treatments Friday afternoon. Our agreement was contingent on them bringing in an extra nail technician so we could sit together to have our pedicures. The fact that they would only have one nail technician all weekend was very strange to me and a huge red flag. So we finally get to the spa that Friday, we walk in and it is noticeably warm. We go back change into our robes which smelled bad and waited for our appointments. The«relaxation“room had a dispenser of Luke warm water and an assortment of teabags with sweetener. No coffee, or even hot water for the tea. So I go for my facial and my sister goes for her massage. My facialist immediately apologizes for the heat and informs me that the air conditioning is broken and so that’s why we have a portable ac unit in our room. I asked her how long it had been out in the spa and she told me at least a month! I was utterly shocked they would let their paying customers and employees suffer in the heat for that long. The facial started out relaxing until the steam machine didn’t work, and then the AC unit went out so she had to leave the room twice to go flip the breaker to get it back on! SERIOUSLY? The worst was yet to come though, I got the Aqua marine facial which was part of the package. She explained that the mask is made with algae and seaweed but I was not prepared for the smell of raw fish all over my face. It was horrific!!! Next was the massage and we both agreed that was actually very good. No AC issues and no weird smells, I’d consider it a win. Now our last appointment was a spa pedicure together. We were also promised champagne due to the back and forth/booking fiasco. So they come and grab me for the pedicure and my sister asked if she should just come back too. The lady seemed confused and said oh I’ll check and come back. So I pick my color and sit down. The water in the bath was so cold I thought it was a sick joke. It was also 100 degrees in there so they have two big box fans blowing on me. So the lady starts my pedi and I notice not only is there no other nail technician, but there isn’t even another foot bath ready. So I tell her my sister should be here next to me and we were told there was another nail tech coming in. She looked at me like oh shit and asked for our names. She then said she would be right back and left the room. So two minutes later my sister comes in and by this point we both know they screwed up AGAIN! Clearly they never found a second nail tech and were just hoping we wouldn’t say anything. So they must be panicking at this point and end up pulling the facialist to do my sisters pedicure. We were immediately concerned, we knew she wasn’t a professional nail tech but she tried to act like it all planned. At this point she brings us the champagne, Thank God. After the series of events that had already unfolded we couldn’t do anything but laugh at this point. So here we go, sitting drinking champagne and trying to relax. We are all talking and finally enjoying ourselves when all of a sudden my sisters foot bath starts overflowing ALLOVER The floor. The facialist/nail tech/bar tender forgot to turn off the water and it literally spilled out all over everything including our shoes. We both burst out laughing while they scramble to clean it up. Like is this real life??? They finally get back to the pedis and it’s obvious the facialist has no clue what she’s doing. She would do one thing to one foot but not the other, used the products in the wrong order, and just generally did a sloppy job. So my pedicure was finished and I’m sitting relaxing when my nail tech literally grabs my arm and kicks me out of my seat because she has another appointment she needs to get ready for. I was flabbergasted. So I sat on a bench waiting for her for at least 20 minutes. Her nails looked like crap and we both felt like we had to be on some hidden camera show. You couldn’t write this shit! All in all this place was terrible!!! I would never go back even if it was free. They were disorganized, unprofessional and the experience was anything but relaxing. It’s a funny story now, but save yourself the money and sanity.

Amazing experience at this spa. I got stuck on an awful overnight layover at Chicago O’Hare due to a plane malfunction and the airline gave me accommodations at the Hilton which operates this spa. This spa is absolutely beautiful, serene, and the staff are absolutely lovely. The outer waiting area(which is super pretty!) has nothing on the inner waiting area which is warm, dimly lit, and cozy with robes and slippers waiting for you in a changing area. From the front desk attendant, to my nail technician, to the other staff I happened to encounter, everyone is sweet and kind. My spa pedicure with Nita and Roufia was impeccably done with a parrafin wax treatment, a leg and foot massage, a cold eye mask, hot neck wrap and unlimited delicious hot tea and cold lemon infused water and great conversation to boot. If you happen to be in the area or staying in the hotel in need of a spa treatment, I highly recommend this wonderful spa!

So I wanted to post a new review since the older reviews are under the former name of Spa Vargas, and this salon at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort now has a new name, Resolution Spa & Wellness.(The location is in the hotel, across from the outdoor pool.) I believe I was told they were now owned by the hotel instead of being a separate entity. I had my wedding at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort at the end of September and was given money to use towards the salon as part of our wedding package. I decided it would be great to go with my bridesmaids to get our manicures the day before. I booked our appointments weeks in advance, but when they called me to confirm a mere hour before, they only had 2 of us scheduled. I panicked and begged and they managed to get all 4 of us in — the appointments were right before the rehearsal dinner and we had no other time to go anywhere else. They had just reopened, but were not finished decorating. There were no baseboards in the rooms or any décor on the walls. It was not inviting and they definitely should have postponed the re-opening. All the employees seemed untrained and clueless. I was willing to look past this — I just wanted my nails to look pretty for my big day! I asked a few times about«CND Shellac» manicures prior to booking, which they said they had. As that was the only type of polish I wanted, I was excited they said they had that available. I was very annoyed to find out, as she applied it to my fingers, that they used some other gel brand I didn’t recognize. I even asked«is that CND Shellac?» — her response was«yes this is gel»… um, no, that is not the same thing. My nail tech was new to gel manicures and seemed really sloppy with her application. She literally and liberally globed the white french tip onto my nails which were all sorts of bumpy. The other nail tech had never done a gel manicure before and wasn’t aware of the final and important step of wiping the tackiness off. The whole time we listened to my nail tech tell the other nail tech the steps in the process. Neither nail tech used any timers with the lamp either. One of my bridesmaids opted for a normal manicure instead of the gel/lamp process. We were charged the same amount for her manicure. My nails held up the day of the wedding.(Thankfully.) But all the bridesmaids had chips or issues by the next day. On day 2 of my honeymoon, they were already starting to peel off. A properly applied gel manicure should last more than a week, and my previous CND Shellac manicure from another salon lasted me 3 weeks. So you could say I was a little pissed that we paid $ 50 per person for these terrible manicures. While I was willing to let it all go, my matron of honor stuck up for me and called the hotel to complain about everything that had happened. She was told they would issue a credit my credit card, which never happened. By far the worst nail/salon experience in my life. Please save yourself all the trouble and go elsewhere. This review is completely about the salon. I absolutely 100% would recommend this Hilton as a place to stay and as a wedding venue… just stay away from the salon.
