I was looking for a local store that carried fresh not canned or dried black eyed peas. I searched google and a 2010 article popped up about Hickman Farm located in Bloomington, CA I was excited! I woke up, traveled to Bloomington. Once I got to Jurupa Ave I saw a very small sign saying H2O melons… Could the watermelons be located at the farm I am looking for? I keep going to Spruce Ave and sure enough I see another little sign that says H2O melons. I made a left in the dirt driveway and that is where the confusion started. There is no designated area to park or a sign saying you have arrive at the Hickman Farm. I was about to make a U-turn to leave and a lady came out of a house near the corn stalk and said I was in the correct place and to park. So I stop the car on the dirt rode followed her to a small garage and there was the jackpot!!! They had watermelons, okra, collard greens, corn and black eyed peas!!! I purchased 5 lbs of black eyed peas at $ 2.00 a lb. I was very happy the lady came out of her house when she did. There is no signs, parking or anything showing the hours of operations but it was well worth it. The peas were great and I will be back for the fresh fruit and vegetables
