I was hesitant to take my boots there after reading the reviews but the only other options were taking them to Indy. While it did take close to three weeks longer than they originally said, the craftsmanship was outstanding. I wasn’t in a hurry to get my boots back but it was somewhat irritating that the done date kept getting pushed back without them communicating this. Both times I went in to pick them up they were visibly working on them, though. Once I finally got them all that was forgiven considering the superb job they did on the repair. I am very impressed. If you aren’t in a hurry, this place is awesome.

Came here for adding some heel and toe taps on my high end shoes(Allen Edmonds strands, Antonio maurizi). They did a very good job and it was a really fast service. I waited may be for 10 minutes max. It was a very pleasant transaction. Very reasonably priced. I also have one of my Antonio Mauritius shoes for conditioning and polishing. Got my shoes the next day and they looked great. I would recommend them. Will do business with them in the future.

It was the worst workmanship I have ever received. All that they gave me was false promises and lip service. I don’t recommend going there unless you want to be very disappointed.

With winter coming up I took my boots in to get resold and grommets replaced. I ask the man behind the counter will they still be waterproof after your done? he assured me that he would do the best he could. This was in the beginning of Nov. it took almost 3 weeks to get em done. no big deal. Their hours are not the most convenient, so it was Dec. before I picked them up. The first day that I went to wear them I noticed they had forgotten to replace the grommets. Since I had to take them back I inspected the boots a little more and I noticed the rubber was not reattached in one part very well at the sole. When I requested that he retouch up that part the man behind the counter seemed agitated and told me he had done a lot of work on them already, but he would do it. «Come back in 1hr». I got boots next day. Rubber looked good. I wore a few times(5 – 6) in Dec. and i went to FL for winter break where boots were not needed. With the weather being bad this week I got them out and wore them for 2 days and noticed a 2 inch hole where the rubber had separated from the boot in the same spot. Went back today and they told me they could patch it. 25.00 $. Like an idiot I paid it. I am going back tomorrow to get refund and take boots to the shoe doctor which is who my girl friend recommended in the first place

Quick service but very disappointed in the quality. I brought a pair of lightly dirty, and shiny back dress shoes and they were able to shine them while I waited. When I picked them up I was surprised to find that they grinded the shine completely off, leaving a matte finish and looking worse than when I brought them in.

This place was good MANY years ago. I made the mistake of taking a belt in for repair. I got it 3 days after they promised and all they did a hack job that I could have done much better in middle school home ec

I cling onto shoes that I love, possibly well beyond their prime, which I why I love shoe repair shops. I have had somewhat mixed success at Joseph’s Shoe Repair though. Maybe the shoes I brought in to be fixed were too far gone to last more than six months after repair. If so, I would have liked them to tell me that before I paid to get them fixed. The other thing I struggle with are the hours. Often the only time I can get here is during my lunch, and they are closed over lunch. I came once after they were supposed to be open again after lunch, and they reopened a half hour late. They are a small business so I’m relatively understanding about it. However, I think I’ll probably stick to smaller shoe fixes from now on. Prices are very reasonable compared to what I was used to paying in Indy for shoe repair. Here are their hours: Monday & Saturday 9:00 am — 1:00 pm Tuesday through Friday 9:00 am — 5:00 pm
