I have found some great items here, but my last visit I was checked out by one of the rudest check out ladies I have encountered. She was onthe phone and very unfriendly. Also, I have always purchased children’s soft cover picture/story books for under 50 cents. She charged me .99 for the nice large hard cover as well as the thin paper backs… ???

Savers are always worth a visit. I live in VIrginia and like to go to thrift stores when I travel. This store was full of merchandise. Prices were a little high but we did find a few bargains.

This place used to be so much better. Now when I go in there I feel like it’s consistently dirty, disorganized and just sort of has the feeling of hopelessness and regret.

I like this Savers and it’s definitely on my close to home thrift store route. I haven’t found anything amazing here yet but it’s clean, organized and there’s lots of stuff to dig through. The clothes are pretty decent although sometimes a tad bit overpriced. The furniture is not bad, I found a cool mid century couch here(for 30 bucks what what) and have spotted some other cool furniture here as well that were well used but in pretty good shape and pretty cheap. The household items are sort of hit and miss but I usually see some cool stuff. All in all it’s a pretty good savers, I’d recommend it.

I’m surprised by all the positive reviews about this place. My mother is an avid thrift store shopper, and she warned me that Savers is «junkie and expensive.» Well, my mom has always been the one to exaggerate, but I have to agree with her to the extent that this Savers, while expansive in capacity, really pales in comparison to quality of goods held at Arc’s Value Village and Goodwill… and yes, it does tend to be more expensive. If I were you, I’d check out the nearby Goodwill first — less than a mile away.

A good place to pick up baby and toddler clothes for next to nothing. Racks and racks of items that are in really good condition.

This store has been a life-saver as a young professional on a budget. I have found so many cute tops, sweaters, skirts, and dresses here from nicer labels like Banana Republic, The Limited, and J.Crew. There shoe selection is great, too, for new or gently used dress shoes. Plus, if you donate items to the store they give you discount coupons towards your next purchase which can really add up. Give yourself plenty of time to roam this large store and try lots of items on and I’m sure you will find some fantastic stuff.

I love Savers! It was a little nerve racking for me going to a thrift store for the first time a few years ago and my friend had to take me because it was so overwhelming. This Saver’s local is very large and packed with a ton of great finds. A little less on the vintage side and more Old Navy, Target, and American Eagle. The trouble is you need to search through all the stuff, but that’s a part of the experience. Among the racks of clothes there’s also Express, Ann Taylor, J Crew, and Banana Republic items. I find that this location gets a lot of traffic as well as new stuff rolling in too. Besides looking over the clothes I always gravitate to the kitchen wear section. You can always find a set of plates or glasses, most likely missing one piece, for a great price. Works wonders for a college student needing to fill the kitchen cabinets. They also have great deals on certain days of the week and if you bring in items to donate you can receive a discount. I would say the best part of shopping at Savers is when the cashier is ringing up my items and it turns out to half as much as I expected, keeping in mind that when I go up to the register I think spending $ 10 is pricey. Savers is definitely a place you want to visit when you have time on your hands to look the store over.

I donate here a lot and occasionally shop here. They take many things that Goodwill won’t which is a plus. I popped in here a few weeks ago and found 3 picture frames for under $ 10. On another occasion, I found some knick-knacky antique figurines for cheap too. Sometimes, I look at clothes, but for some reason, this store gives me a headache. If I had the patience, I might be able to find something wearable in here.

UPDATE: With the recent price increases at the Hiawatha/Lake Savers, this one might actually be the cheaper location now.

Congrats Bloomington Savers for officially not being the crappy Savers anymore! I am proud, just like a mama. Since this Savers was remodeled it’s been known as the Shitty Savers(because I declared it as such.) You literally could not force me to buy something here and I am the kind of person who will always find something useful in a thrift store. Last night I walked in and got two bags of clothes for $ 40 in about 5 minutes. The store is always clean and well organized and the employees are super nice, too. So, thank you No Longer the Shitty Savers for allowing me to replace my gross clothes with some not-so gross clothes. I look kind of cute today, to be quite honest.
