The lady at check out was nice but when I sat down to eat a woman by the name of Mimi told me I could not sit down and eat. The place was virtually empty and I thought it was rude to not let a customer that just purchased food to sit down and eat. I will be escalating this matter further to the BBB. I will be letting all my family friend and business associate in Blue island, Beverly and Morgan Park know about this experience at this location as well.

Hot! Quick! Tasty! Just how I love it when I’m home visiting. Where I live the only pizza options are Pizza Hut, Dominos, & Papa Johns. –YUCK. Beggars is the FIRST thing I need when I come home to Chicago. This location never fails me!

Everything is great at Beggars. I order from several locations. Their pizza is perfect, I believe the best in the region. They tend to special requests like«well done» and«pie cut». Their dinners are just right and they have great burgers.

The pizza is nothing special, i’ve had better frozen pizza. But thats not the reason for the bad review, the bad review is for the terrible customer service. I didn’t ask for crushed red peppers because they should always be given with a pizza, especially when youre paying $ 30 dollars!!! And I ask if they could drop some off and the woman just said yea whatever and hung up on me. Seriously if you hate your job just quit dont take it out on the customers. Anyway will not be a returning customer.

Good pizza, fantastic godfather sandwich. The pasta is ok, they usually don’t put on much sauce at all. Quick delivery usually.

Ok before I start i must say that this is not reflection on all beggars… I love thier pizzas and the service is consistanly good. I have never been to this location before and was considerably diappointed. so we ordered a pizza half sausage half cheese and the combo platter apps. It was like they went to grocery store and opened up one of those bulk variety packs and microwaved it… totally disgusting… and the pizza was not the beggars i was used to when carrying out… they are known for their«lay it on thick» cheese… it certainly did not live up to it. to top it off my sister ordered a drink and right away the waitress(who was not exactly helpful or expierenced) said that they might be out of whatever the drink was… she came back with the drink. a pink thing in a martini glass… tasted horrible… i believe she made it herself… its just not a place to eat-in.

I love beggars pizza! My family orders so much from them we are in the system. When we call they automatically know what we want to order. I’ve taste a lot of pizza in Chicago and Beggars is definitely in my top 3. I love pizza! Beggars also gives you a bang for your buck.

The pizza is ok when they get the order right. We called in a order, family size sausage and pepperoni. We get there, wait 40+ minutes only for the guy to come tell us that they accidentally added bacon… not Canadian bacon to our pizza. None of us eat bacon so that was a no go. They get 2stars because they didn’t offer to amend there mistake in anyway. After waisting our time we walked out empty handed, disappointed, and hungry.

The pizza is truly the best tasting in the Chicago area. SO much cheese!!! Do NOT attempt to eat this pizza while you’re driving!!! I almost died… twice.

Many a thick-headed bigot has made statements to the effect of «if we let the gays get married, what’s next, men marrying DOGS? People marrying PIZZAS?» YES. YES, I WOULDMARRYTHISPIZZA. If I wasn’t already married. And if that ridiculous analogy even made any sense. See my earlier review for something a bit more coherent. But the fact remains: I would eat this pizza all day, every day, until the end of days. Totes magotes!

The deep dish cheese pizza was surprisingly good. We also had BBQ wings and fries for an app. They were also very good and piping hot. This was not our first choice for pizza last night, but a sequence of uncontrollable events landed us here. I gave it three stars because the inside is divey and there are no televisions. On Saturday night during college football season, that is not acceptable. My wife understands. More important however, was the fact that most patrons surrounding us were engulfed in conversations about fighting, drinking alcohol and baby-momma baby-daddy drama. We weren’t trying to eavesdrop but couldn’t help but hear. Then, Quintrell — Shante nem’ really got started and the decibel level began to escalate as the foul language and laughter increased. That was our cue to leave. The restaurant had a police officer seated, who I’m assuming was the security element, not a diner, and the servers were excellent. If we get Beggars again, it will be carry-out/delivery, which is a shame because sometimes you want to go somewhere and sit down.

I grew up in Blue Island and Beggars was always our top choice for thin crust pizza. I have never EVER had a pizza that wasn’t cooked to perfection from here. I literally crave this place. Whether I’m ordering for a group or for myself it is always a treat. I usually order sausage and green peppers… OMG I need to stop typing this review because I’m starting to drool. Thank God I have a few pieces in my fridge waiting for me when I get home.

Born and raised on this stuff. There aren’t many places that can top Beggars Pizza, thin crust or deep dish. If you like cheese and plenty of toppings, this is the place. Their slogan«we lay it on thick» is no joke. Their pizzas can get a bit pricey, but you get your monies worth in so many ways. Thins are far from the crispy cracker, paper thin crusts, so know this going in. Deep dish pizzas are stout, complete with cornmeal crust and loads of cheese and whatever else your heart desires. Weekends can get a bit crowded if dining in, and with the smaller dining area, don’t be surprised if there’s a wait. Kedzie Beggars is better equipped to handle your bigger crowds and/or possible party reservations. Service is always attentive, but can get bogged down with bigger crowds. Give em a sec, they’re on top of it. Always polite and friendly too. A recent visit netted some nachos, a cheeseburger, a huge dinner salad, and a small thin crust with spinach, tomato, and ricotta cheese. Everything was great, the cheeseburger was cooked to perfection, the salad was huge, and the pizza… as always, amazing. Check my pics to get an idea if you’ve never tried their pie. Trust me, you won’t regret it. This place is a family staple, and it’s obvious why.

I really don’t see the difference between how this tastes and the pizza from across the street at Pizza Hut. Alright if it’s all you can get at the moment, but nothing to right home about. Everyone raves about Beggars, but I find it’s pizza kinda boring. Be careful when near this place– the people pulling out from the alley are so excited about their pizza they don’t look where they are going.

On a scale of 1 – 10 their deep/stuffed is about a 6⁄10 and thin crust ranks a 5⁄10. Pizza is expensive.

Some of the best pizza you will get in the city next to Giordanos! I usually fight back and forth over which is better. Their pizza comes in square slices and melt in your mouth. I usually get the sausage and cheese. The only knock on this place is the parking. The parking space is very small and can be hellacious to get out of at times. They have more locations throughout the south suburbs, but this is one of the oldest locations. If you are ever in the south burbs check this place out!
