sad to write bad reviews — but the public needs to know that this man DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU … he only cares about selling you glasses and charging fee’s for services on his OLD EQUIPMENT … I had bad vision — went to see him — HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE — I should have got an atty — but I’m not that kind of person … he is RUDE when challenged. nice when he wants to up-​sell you 2 pair of glasses … WARNING — BEWARE … go to another eye doctor … pass on his silly little savings «coupon» AD’s … sorry DR. K — but you they don’t let me post a «0» … if I ever saw you in public — I would tell the whole world what a BAD person you are ;((this is the worst review I have ever made in my long life)

This doctor repeatedly failed to provide a prescription keeping me from buying my contacts elsewhere. The contacts he does supply are «Samples» from the manfacturer with a sticker over the «not for sale» on the box. We use people who are in our neighborhood without question, u better think about the poor service provided.

On Thanksgiving weekend, I had a problem with my reading glasses. When I called the office and explained that I was leaving Lake Arrowhead on Monday, Dr. Kohtz offered (and followed through on his offer!) to come into his office on Sunday to grind new lens and insert them into my frames. He did so with such graciousness. What a gentleman and true professional. When I thanked him, he casually stated, «well I just try to treat others how I’d want them to treat me.» To top it all off: no charge. This is a first-​rate facility with old-​fashioned personal service. I highly recommend Dr. Kohtz and his staff.

Great service. The Doctor was a pleasure to interact with. Glasses were produced perfectly.

Dr. Kohtz methods are very antiquated. He bumped me in the head two times with the equipment during my exam. When testing me with the different lenses, at times he just held one or the other in his hand in front of my eyes rather then inserting it in the equipment for stability. This made it very hard to really tell if I could see better. No field test was done. When I went back to pick up my glasses 2 wks later, the lady that helps you just handed them to me to try on. She didn’t even check them out to see if everything was fine with them. When I got them home and tried to use them they just didn’t seem right. I found that one of the screws was real long and the other screw was put in the opposite direction. Then I noticed something looked off about the lenses. I experimented and put the glasses on upside down. I could see!
Maybe its time for these people to retire???
Definitely won’t be going back or recommending!

I also highly recommend Dr. Wes Kohtz. He has been instrumental in helping me repair my vision. He is so smart and articulate, I feel more knowledgeable about my eyes then I have ever been in my life. Rita, his receptionist is a beautiful soul. They have toys for my son and are always very patient and understanding with me.

After I broke my reading glasses at a recent trip to Lake Arrowhead, I went to see Dr. Kohtz. He was fantastic. I was able to get in to see him almost immediately. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and I had a new pair of glasses in just over an hour. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to a Dr. that was this competent and attentive to his patients. Love my new glasses and I would highly recommend him.
