Pretty much tge worst ice cream I have ever had. It was like that dairy free snow cream… not creamy at all and very flavorless. We actually were so disappointed we walked into another ice cream place and handed them basically full cones of ice cream and asked them to throw them out and give us some of there’s. NOTE: this review is only for their ice cream and not their food.

This place was, with absolutely no exaggeration, COMPLETELY empty at 11:30 on Mother’s Day Sunday. That should have been a massive hint, but we sat down anyway. For a completely empty restaurant it took a really long time for our order — two simple crepes. I ordered the country crêpe with no ham, and my girlfriend ordered the Nutella crêpe. She said hers was«okay,» while mine was just not good at all. The egg was under-done and did not taste fresh, and the cheese was what tasted like the cheapest possible store-bought shredded mozzarella. The only reason I’m rating this place two stars instead of one is because our server seemed like a nice guy. That said, the«how was everything?» end-of-meal question was apparently cursory, because when I politely mentioned that I didn’t care for my meal, the response was a simple acknowledgement. No apology, no attempt to rectify the situation. Pleasant enough person, but not really«wait staff.» Not recommended.

I love this place, I am French and it felt so good to find a truly French place right in the heart of Blue Ridge! The food is excellent, very fresh. Danny makes everything from scratch with top notch ingredients, I saw it and can definitely taste it; Bön appetit!

What a pleasant surprise to find an authentic high quality French restaurant here. The food is awesome and made from scratch. Plus I met the owner who’s a real character, she runs a tight ship and very fun to talk with. She’s from France FYI. I’ll be coming back many times, and plus you can get quiches and pies to go!

I noticed a sign for homemade ice cream that lured me in. I asked for a sample of the banana pudding flavor. It was like tasting ice-zero flavor. I quickly decided that ice cream was not in the cards. I purchased a bottle of water; $ 2 for a bottle of Food Lion brand water. The café was empty at 12:30 on a Saturday in August.

I’m upgrading my review today because again I have been met wonderful friendly service. The quiche is so good and made fresh daily. I love they lots of vegetarian options. Our server today is the owners niece and she is very sweet and fast to serve. Her french is lovely and thick so listen good. Bön Au petit!

I got the chicken Caesar salad and it was delish! Everyone at the table tried it and loved it. I went with a few other girls and we all enjoyed our meals and followed it with ice cream we got there. It was all very good. The service was wonderful!

Good lunch menu, good prices, pleasant outdoor seating with attention to shade for diners. When we went here, it was crowded but the service was quick. It appears(based on the line I saw inside) that ice cream is a big draw here. A good thing about the location is that it is a little bit away from the usually busy Blue Ridge Main Street, so you can dine without having to share your space with people walking on the sidewalk.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner while on vacation with some other family members last month. Although still open, Danielle informed us that her menu was mainly a breakfast and lunch selection and if we decided to stay and eat she would be happy to make us whatever we wanted. When inquired why she was still open, she told us it’s because people come to her place for dessert. Our group having ate in the Blue Ridge /Ellijay area quite a few times, I was intrigued since no where we had eaten had any dessert worth mentioning(or any dessert available to us at all — ahem, 1907). We had some wonderfully delight conversation as she just wanted to get o know us while explaining how she makes everything and about herself. She was very nice and very accommodating. We didn’t want to leave! Alas, We decided to eat a more dinner-type affair so we just ended up ordering some dessert, beer cheese soup, and grabbed some freshly made cookies from here to go. Can I just say wow? Because wow. We ordered the key lime pie, peach crème brûlée pie, and the German chocolate cake to share. Holy cow. She makes all of her desserts from scratch, even canning her own Georgia peaches for the crème brûlée. It was all amazing. The key lime pie was almost like a key lime cheesecake and probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The peache crème brûlée pie was just delicious, accompanied with a caramel sauce. And the German chocolate cake was so moist and chocolatey that it would satisfy any chocoholic’s craving. And like I said, it’s all made from scratch. I wish I ordered some of the pear crème brûlée. And seconds, possibly thirds. And, before I forget, some very delicious beer cheese soup. Yum. We took some of that back to Florida to enjoy and did so as soon as we got back. Do not go anywhere else looking for dessert. Just this place. Always this place. Also, she makes her own no preservatives with fresh ingredients ice cream fresh from scratch. This woman is just incredible. I wish we lived closer to this lovely establishment so that we could enjoy these eats on a regular basis, because it has just put the majority of desserts in Orlando to shame. I wish we had visited Danielle’s earlier in our vacation(it was our last night in GA) to sample her menu for lunch and breakfast. Terrific!

Danielle’s is in a great location. I had been curious about it for some time. I stopped in mid-afternoon for lunch. The Reuben was very good… love the chips and pickle. The porch looked like the place to sit, but there was construction going on in front and it was hot and humid, so I sat inside. VERY noisy… cleaning going on AND listening to the TV was absolutely horrendous. How about some relaxing music… or something other than daytime, mindless media!!! Oh… someone came in and got an ice cream in a waffle cone. I could barely see the scoop which was well below the top of the cone. Just sayin’!!!

Great eats? Are they out of their mind? This place sucks. The food is substandard. I was out with my family eating lunch and my mother ordered the tuna plate and she didnt like it, so she told the waiter she wanted to exchange it for something else. I noticed on the bill, he did not take off her original order of the tuna plate. When asked about it, he didnt say it would be taken off the bill. We then insisted on speaking with the owner, Danielle. I have to say I have never seen such an unprofessional and rude to a customer. She raised her voice at my mother and basically called her a liar. My mom took 2 bites out of the tuna and changed her order. I have never heard of a place of business that treats their customers like that in front of other customers. Do not go here!

I’ve gone here a couple of times with friends for ice cream. The selection is limited and the ice cream is somewhat more icey than smooth. However, it’s still quite tasty, especially the French Toast ice cream.

There used to be another ice cream shop in the same building, but it closed, and this one opened, and we’ve been visiting as part of our annual Blue Ridge pilgrimage ever since. The ice cream’s pretty good, and they’re good about giving samples, but almost everything is vanilla based, which is not my favorite.

Stopped for lunch today, they were out of a couple of the items that I wanted to order but I have to say the chicken with mushroom sandwich was very good, chicken was a little dry but with mayo it was just fine. They serve nice chips with the sandwiches and generous with the portions. However, the homemade ice cream that sounded so great when the waitperson described it was a big disappointment. Supposedly made fresh, the consistancy was not creamy and it had ice crystals in it. That’s not what I expect from fresh ‘homemade’ ice cream. I’d go back for another meal, but I’ll skip the ice cream next time and try somewhere else.

Pass on this place. Was a great place to eat when the previous owners operated it. Order taker was not pleasant and food way overpriced for what you get. Skip it and go to QT to get a better sandwhich or hot dog.
