Recently purchased a Ford f 1504×4, at donnell ford in boardman. All dealerships strive for their point check inspection upon delivery of used or new vehicle. Not even a month into owning this truck, it’s a 2012 with 89,000 miles on it when purchased, it started having a miss. So, went to dealership, we purchased extended warranty. They ran diagnostic on it, it needs a tune up. I got charged 156.00 for their diagnostic, of course, not covered on warranty, and a estimated bill of 1,100.00 to tune up my truck. I’ve never heard of a more insane price to tune up a truck and Mechanic further added these trucks require a tune up after the 80,000 mile mark. So, it’s obvious dealership doesn’t do their wonderful point inspection to ensure vehicle is solid for new customer. Spoke with mgr, mr.murphy. he said he would look into it and then offered to pay half of 1,100.00 cost for repair. That was not satisfactory for myself due to the fact the insane price to do the job and the fact I haven’t even made the first car payment on this vehicle. I contacted mr. Murphy again about this and he agreed he thought tune up price was excessive and he would LOOKINTOITANDGETBACKTOME. Never heard a peep since. I will NEVER buy a vehicle from this dealership again. Unprofessional management at its finest. And definitely not a professional way to handle a simple resolution because I feel this dealership is cheap, likes to cut corners and will sell you a vehicle but not stand by it.
