Boardwalk Fresh Burgers & Fries

The restaurant is clean and has a cool industrial yet beachy feel. But the food just isn’t there. The fries were overcooked and dry and the same can be said about the burger. And everything was really expensive. We also had the chicken tenders, which was also dry.
The shake tasted like they just put ice cream in a cup. That’s good, but you pay a lot for that shake.
The teenagers behind the counter also weren’t very friendly, so service was not so great.

Boardwalk burgers is closed.

Place is CLOSED. I ate there once less than 2 years ago. I said it wouldn’t make it and I was right.

This place is ok if you want a change of pace. Five guys is closer to where I work but their fries seem to greasy at times.
I like the environment here and the help is nicer then some places. I guess it is one of those places you have to try for yourself.
But you will not wake up one morning and feel and urge to come here.

Ewe. Five guys is 2 miles away, ditch this place and go there instead. Nuff said

Five Guys may be a bigger chain, but Boardwalk makes a better burger, in spite of the gripers below. The meat is a better grade and a fresher, coarser grind which I like. They also offer a lot of toppings that are nice, like bleu cheese and grilled onions. They come out of that big beefy Maryland burger joint tradition that has sprung other great chains as well.
As to their fries, I asked and saw. They’re fresh. They fry them a couple of different times at different temps to seal in flavor. We thought they were better than Five Guys. Sorry Dustyn.
The prices are not out of line with Five Guys and the other premium burger joints in the area.
They also serve beer, something which Five Guys doesn’t do.
Service was great, and they have both indoor and outdoor patio seating.
As for Connie’s comment about McDonalds, if that’s what y’all like, it’s right down the street. You might want to eat the box, though. It’s probably got more nutrition, and it and the burger taste about the same.
If you want a great burger, this is the place to stop in South Central Boca.
They could open up their wi-​fi for customers. That would be a lunchtime plus!

Better than 5 Guys

Nothing special at all. Fries do have that weird chewy-​ness that someone else mentioned. Definitely cut then frozen. Burger itself was messy, bread couldnt hold the double patties together. most likely won’t return…

I had a salad with grilled chicken. It was very good for a hamburger place. The staff was very helpful when i asked how many ounces of chicken were on the salad. They did not know off hand but offered to weigh a piece for me. Very helpful for me to keep track of my weight watchers points.

First time to try Boardwalk. I got a single bacon cheddar burger with all the fresh toppings, I loved the crunch of the bacon when u bite into the burger, yummy! I loved the chili cheese fries. You cab ask for the chili and cheese on the side so you can add to your liking. I also got the cookies n cream milkshake and it was yummy! U can really tell they are using real ice cream to make the shakes. Will be coming back to try other items soon!

The food was ok and tasty but I don’t think it was worth $ 8 for one burger and extra for fries.
The design and surf feel of the place is cute and the staff was friendly.
What actually put me off were the owners. They were near the door and asking people about their experience as they left.
When they asked me I said it was ok, but not worth the price and they told me I just didn’t appreciate correctly.
Then my husband was asked and he said it was kind of meh and they corrected him, saying he meant great.
I’m not going to give any business to people who ask an opinion and then «correct» you when the answer isn’t what they want to hear. If you’re going to ask customers’ opinions to help improve then it’d be good to actually listen to their answers.
Will not be going back.

MY family loves this burger place !!! Everything is fresh and the burgers are juicy, and don’t forget the milk shakes. Out of this world!!! Must try it yourself…

Sorry Boardwalk, but I have to give you a «Blech!!!».
It is rare that I treat myself to a burger, and seeing other good reviews on here I thought I would give it a try. I left extremely disappointed. The fries were alright, the toppings were okay, and the burger was awful! It didn’t just lack in flavor… there was no flavor at all! Needless to say I only ate a quarter of my meal, and that was purely because I was hungry.
I will not be returning to Boardwalk. I think they are going to have a hard time. There are a lot of very good burgers around here. Go to Five Guys or Charm City if you are looking for a tasty burger!

First time here… service is friendly and attentive and burgers are decent (we ordered the Surf burger –single patty (meat too small for bun but vegetable toppings are nice and fresh – I love fresh jalapenos on anything), Boardwalk burger –double and fries (large portion, but lukewarm and over-​salted).
Next time, I’ll order the double and no salt on the fries and I’m sure that I’ll be able to add another star.

I had a great debate at lunch today — go to Five Guy’s, which is a lock for tasty burgers or try Boardwalk’s, which I have been thinking about for weeks. We went to Boardwalks and I was starving. Before we get into this, let me just say that I was rooting for them.
It was awful. I didn’t finish my burger. The bun and toppings are EXACTLY like Five Guys (great) but the burgers are flavorless and I can only describe them as «watery.» Not «juicy,» they are «watery.» Do you want a watery burger? The fries were ok but also lacked flavor and had a strange chew to them. I think they were fresh cut and then frozen maybe.
If you have an extra 6 minutes, just go to Five Guys or Charm City. This place is clearly trying to knock-​off Five Guys but the quality is not there. Whoever is running the operation forgot that quality is why Five Guys is so popular. No one is there for the ambiance. Go to Charm City if you need a Five Guys alternate. They are the only place better for quasi-​fast food.
I give it 2 stars because it was edible. It was not so awful that I would say avoid it, but don’t go there — like I did — expecting better than average burger.

Apparently a very popular chain in Maryland. Don’t get the gimmick of putting vinegar or Old Bay Seasoning on your fries but hey to each his own. Solid grilled chicken sandwiches with free toppings such as sauted mushrooms or grilled onions. Only $ 4.95. Extra 50 cents for cheese on burgers or chicken sandwiches. OIndoor and outdoor seating. Only knock on the place is that you can not specify how you want your burger cooked. Only way is med/​well but still fairly juicy.

My wife and myself stopped in on Dec. 15^th. It’s set up just like Five Guys is. We both ordered the bbq bacon cheddar burger a supposed specialty of the house and a medium fry. We received are order very quickly and were excited to try it. We were both disappointed due to the fact that the burgers lacked any kind of flavor at all. They were both dry and not juicy at all. We both thought the fresh fries were subpar at best for fresh cut fries. To be fair I know that they had only been open for 2 days when we decided to try it.
