This is a nice little place for breakfast. I came in and was seated right away on a Sunday morning. Service is very good. Food is good but a little pricey. I had a crêpe with Nova. The table was wobbly. They give nice portions of food.

At last, You can find the best bagels from NYC… I used to be a frequent customer at Bruces when I worked in Great Neck NY. My co-workers and I frequently had lunch there. I was sad to move to FL and even more sad when I couldn’t find a good genuine bagel. Years passed and YES… I discovered they moved to good old Boca. hooray. If you are in search of an amazing bagel… please make Bruce’s your next stop. you will be quite pleased! My favorite bagel shop in town…

Was waiting for my car to be serviced this morning and my 5 month old son and I stopped in for breakfast at Bruce’s. It was great. We got a table, no problem. Our server was so sweet. The food was awesome too! Great coffee is always a plus. They also give you a little plate of pastries when you sit down. I could have lived without it but it was a really nice little touch. I’d definitely go back anytime I’m in the area.

I’ve had breakfast here a handful of times. The place has a serious following so it can get very busy. The food is typical Jewish deli fare. I typically always opt to get a nova platter or sandwich. They have pretty decent bagels as well as cream cheese with good flavors. They start you off with a plate of mini cakes. I’m not a huge sweet eater so it’s kind of wasted on me. my main issue is there is always a service problem. recent example– When I came on mothers day me and my mom were lucky to get a table without much wait, but the server never came over. After about 15 minutes wait without even an acknowledgment from any staff(or any coffee for that matter) I flagged a server down and asked if we could order. She said she wasn’t our server but apologized and took care of us. we never met who our«true» server was but it’s ok. I’m sure I’ll be back here as its close to my mom and the food is good. The service issues just make this place average for me.

I met the owner, Bruce, a few months ago at our mutual dentist office. He gave me a business card, and informed me that he was originally from Long Island(like myself), so the bagels and sandwiches were on point. Well, that was wrong. I waited for 7 minutes for my order to get taken, even though I was the only customer in. The cashier, however, was friendly and took my order efficiently. I ordered 2 eggs over hard, on a roll, with bacon, salt, pepper, ketchup and cheese. I got my sandwich, went home, bit into it and there was no salt, pepper or ketchup. And immediately yolk ran down my sandwich… After opening my sandwich, my eggs looked fake, I had 2 lousy slices of the thinnest bacon, and it just looked so unappetizing. If you want a good egg sandwich that tastes relatively close to home(NY), go to Brooklyn Water Bagels.

Just had a fantastic meal from Bruce’s of Great Neck. Pastrami, Corn Beef, coleslaw, lobster salad, chicken salad, bagels, rye bread, nova… etc. everything was outstanding. The homemade breads, rugula and above all the outstanding service.

Great place to have breakfast or brunch. Huge selection on the menu and friendly staff. If you are in to big sandwiches, you will be very happy. Breakfast can be over priced so be sure to catch the breakfast special before 11am.

Eaten here twice. Found it crowded mid-morning on weekdays, worse in winter. The food isn’t bad, judging by the omelettes, though I picked a long hair out of mine last visit, but it’s not that special and you’ll pay up to 25% more than at the competition. Not worth going out of the way for, and it’s a bit out of the way in one of those isolated strip malls along this part of US441 aka State Road 7. Service when crowded is fairly good. Good bagels but nothing that special, rather insipid baked goods judging from samples presented when I sat down to eat.

I love this place. I’m originally from NJ so I know a good bagel place when I eat at one. Absolutely delicious and the best I’ve had since moving down to Florida!

Completely overpriced and service is only good if you are a regular. We go each and every time my daughter goes to the pediatrician we wind up at Bruces. Each time the service gets worse and we are progressively more disappointed. This morning was not even busy. They neglected to give us our little muffins. They were bad anyway.

I saw Bruce on Cupcake wars — which by the way had no cupcakes at all, on food network and was surprised that it was so close to my house. Walked in and the place was adorned with Yankee memorabilia everywhere which I thought was awesome. Then we sat down to eat breakfast and for starters our table was disgusting, I ended up going to the bus boy who happened to be our waiter and took the cloth he was cleaning another table to wipe down mine. Floors, SILVERWARE, chairs we all filthy so I figured they were slammed this morning so I asked the server were they busy, they said not at all so this mess was from the night, days, maybe months before. We ordered breakfast and ordered where you got eggs– Sunnyside, bacon, French toast(waiter said it was the best anywhere) and toasted bagel. I got eggs over easy, sausage instead of bacon, non toasted bagel and French toast that was ice cold and tasted like it was sitting for days– apparently he has never been anywhere. Bruce should start paying attention to his restaurant rather than who his next picture is with.

I decided to visit this cute little shop after reading reviews on Unilocal and after trying almost every single other bagel place in Boca as I work there once a week. Its a typical looking deli but when you walk in the desert and pastry case is just gorgeous and they have really neat exotic sweet I decided to go for the Ring Ding and it really did live up to its name it was a giant ring ding with the beautiful cream center delicious there bagel with nice and fresh it did not disappoint I would have to say it’s probably the best place in Boca for bagels and I will definitely be back it isn’t cheap but when it comes to food cheap isn’t the way to go thanks Guy see you soon!!!

This place is not that good and I won’t be back. I’ve been twice. Both times there are an abundance of flies circling while you eat. The bagels did not taste fresh. The eggs(scrambled) seemed of a pre made kind. Like egg beaters. They didn’t taste freshly made. It tasted microwaved. The bacon — which I ordered crispy was soggy and fatty. Not edible. I had to take it out. Not sure now they stay in business since their food is not good at all.

This is a typical Jewish style diner with lots of Yankees and celebrity pictures covering the wall to distract you from the eh service and subpar food. The bagels are really bland and not worth the carbs(go to Bagelworks or Long Island instead) this place is very underwhelming and after coming here two times I will not be back.

I wasn’t a fan. We had omelets. Mine was okay. My husband liked his. The entire restaurant was treated to a profanity-laced tirade by the owner to a waiter. Our waitress never came back to check on us. Maybe this was part of the authentic New York feel, but I’ll pass.

I had been here a few times for breakfast with a friend and was very pleased with both the food and the service. We had the same table and waitress for each visit which always is nice and the experience was superb each time. Thank you Amy. So naturally lunch was the next step. It started by having an inexperienced server who didn’t seem to have his mind on our table. I had my standard test food, a well done grilled cheese bacon tomato on rye with well done fries. The fries were good but the grilled cheese looked like it was made on a loaf of rye bread that you would buy in the bread aisle at Publix. There was one and a half slices of bacon and not much cheese. Tomatoes were MIA. My friend was not happy with her meal and we ultimately got her something else later in the day. So for breakfast I would give them a 5. For lunch I would give it a two thus my total rating. I would not hesitate going there for breakfast again.

Bruce’s is a NY Yankee themed restaurant. The walls are adorned with lots of original Yankee memorabilia. Lots of pictures of Bruce with the players as well as many famous celebrities. With all that aside, the food here is good. I have been here many times and I have decided to break down this review into three sections. Bakery, breakfast and lunch. I am doing this simply because having a meal at Bruce’s during breakfast is quite a different experience than having lunch here. Bakery: When you eat inside the dining room they give you a small plate of bakery items to snack on while you look through the menu. Granted they are from the day before but they keep them fresh by keeping them in the refrigerator. I thought the chocolate rugelach was a little dry but other than that everything has been very good. The rainbow cookies are amazing. The top chocolate layer falls apart a bit but these rainbow cookies are pretty great. Breakfast: Bruce’s is my favorite place to grab breakfast. Amy has been our server a few times & she is very sweet, not to mention efficient. The bagels are very good & they have a sunflower bagel that I love. My eggs are always cooked perfectly & they make the best home fries I have ever had. I order them extra crispy and they are cooked with onions and are nicely seasoned. My friend Scott orders the grits. I recently just tried grits for the first time and I thought it was good. But the home fries are incredible. Lunch: Just not good. The servers are a bunch of kids that walk around dazed and confused. They seem to be more intent on chatting with each other than helping their customers. Danny waited on us this past weekend. It was a nightmare. I ordered a cup of soup and ½ of a sandwich. The matzo ball soup was good but my tuna was disgusting. I ordered macaroni salad as my side & sent it back for the potato salad. Both of them were very sweet & I didn’t like either one of them. The rye bread they use is not fresh and obviously from a bag. Scott ordered a grilled cheese on rye with bacon and tomato. He paid the upcharge for sweet potato fries as his side dish. The fries were okay but the sandwich was extremely small and they forgot the tomato. Danny never came back to check on us so we did not have an opportunity to ask for anything. I can not recommend Bruce’s for lunch. I have to say that Bruce’s makes the best potato knishes I have ever had. I have taken them home a few times & they reheat very well in my oven. The prices are very reasonable and there is lots of parking. To sum up this review: good for breakfast & not so great for lunch. UPDATE4÷19÷15 Went in for breakfast at 7:30AM. We ordered and mentioned to the waiter that flies were everywhere. He responded by saying they are working on it. If your having a problematic issue with bugs, close for a few days and fix the problem. My dining partner was unable to pour the creamer into his coffee without a fly zooming around his coffee cup. We couldn’t eat with bugs so we decided to leave. Both of us were totally grossed out. We just couldn’t stop thinking of the flies touching the food. This is a restaurant, cleanliness is key. Bugs carry germs and people could get sick. Bruce and staff should be warning people of the infestation prior to being seated. Paying customers should have the option to leave before walking into a disgusting dining room and finding out for themselves. We told the manager why we were leaving and it didn’t phase her at all. I will not be returning.

The uncleared tables told a story as we entered Bruce’s in Boca for the first time, but what was the story it had to tell? It turns out that Bruce’s is hopping – very busy, even at 11am on a Tuesday. We were there for lunch, but most of the people there were eating breakfast – if the Sun Sentinel can be believed, it’s the best one in Boca. The food was good, not amazing, but solid. I did not like their salt pickles as they were incredibly salty and had an odd background flavor. My «New Jersey Sloppy Joe» deli club sandwich was good. The little pastries they make are also very good. I would definitely go back and try the breakfast, or one of their burgers. The service itself was very courteous and very friendly. Bruce himself was there, keeping an eye on things. The friendliness seemed to be characteristic of the patrons as well, as we were engaged in conversation from all sides. The crowd was older, but I expect it was particularly so mid-week during the day.

The women who was working behind the counter needs to learn how to make a bagel sandwich as well as learn customer service. Ordered a bagel with lox spread. There was the smallest amount of cream cheese or lox on it I have ever gotten(wish I took a photo). You could see most of the bagel when you opened it up. When she was ringing it up she says to me «you just ordered a very expensive bagel» Also in conversation I mentioned I am from where the original Bruce’s is. She asks me why I would want to be from there — the people there are horrible.
