Curtis & Curtis Jewelers

I am making a special effort to review Curtis & Curtis simply because of the great experience I had there recently. I am fairly new to Florida and needed to find a place to have my watch batteries replaced. I found this business on Unilocal and I’m happy I did! Both employees at the store were very friendly and one of them replaced both of my watch batteries in approximately five minutes. The cost was very reasonable. I will be back!

It’s time for a review, so that the Unilocal community can become aware of this family owned and operated local business. They sell watches, jewels, pearls, diamonds, accessories, and the owner, from South Africa, is a certified diamond appraiser.
My experiences have been limited to battery replacements, watch repairs and cleanings, and buffing of gold rings and bracelets, thus my review focuses on these services.
Located in an unappealing run-​down shopping plaza about ¹⁄₈ mike east of I-​95, (difficult to know what is in the center,) Curtis & Curtis has been in the same location for 18 years, which is a testament to their honesty and reliability as jewelers.
THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK, whether it is a watch repair or a battery replacement, all is guaranteed for a year. Their prices are fair, and if they can fix something on-​the-​spot, they will do so. I have a collection of vintage Movado watches as well as a few from Tiffany’s, and I’ve trusted them with repairs and cleanings/​overhauls. While the interior is dated, the service and reliability is beyond question.
Local small businesses like these are hard to find, replaced by big box jewelers or mall kiosks with rotating staff. If the owner David Curtis isn’t on site, his assistant ANDY is, and while young, he has the same traits for honesty and integrity as the owner.
If you work in East Boca or live in the area, and find yourself in need of a watch band, battery, jewelry repair or buffing, this is the place to go. They must sell a fair amount of jewelry as well (decent vintage collection), but I cannot attest to that area, but be aware they have merchandise to sell.
