I went in for a membership earlier this year. The sales manager tried selling me an overpriced membership. I told him I couldn’t afford it and that I want to check out the Planet Fitness because it was $ 10 a month. Then he asked me if I lived in a trailer park. When I said no, he said it was because I could afford better for myself. I was stunned, but he wasn’t finished with his sales pitch. He said, «Look, I think it is nice that people who live in trailer parks and who work for McDonald’s can afford a gym membership somewhere — but here, no one is going to steal your purse or hit on you.» I held myself back from telling him off, but a few days later I penned a letter for the Gym owner. I brought it into the gym and the woman at the front desk assured me she would give the owner the letter. I never heard back.

Fantastic gym to get a serious workout and great classes! Best group fitness classes and workouts in all of Boca Raton. Sunday mornings with Meryl keep me in shape and challenged. All instructors are so amazing and helpful! So proud to be a member of Michaels for over 25yrs!

I love the place, it’s a cozy gym, clean, the restrooms are brand new and they have all the equipment that you may want! People there are very friendly and don’t keep complaining of everything as the other gyms that I used to go to. Recommend

I’ve been coming here for years now and when I started I was a little disappointed by outdated it was, but the location was convenient so I got a membership anyway. Even though the it bothered me how it looked I wasn’t going to let it stop me from getting my workouts. The convenient thing is that this guy offers a 5:30 in the morning class for spinning. I have to admit it is hard to get up that early but once done with my class I feel great and try to go 3 times every week. Last year the spinning room was located in a smaller room and the bikes were somewhat older and some bikes didn’t feel so good, but I still managed to get a great workout. Even though the room was small and the bikes felt funny, I still enjoyed my classes. Mostly because the instructors were really good and they play great music really loud. They sure know how to motivated you at 5:30 am. I would not give the gym five stars but not I would because the gym got renovated this year. They got new equipment, new carpeting and the place looks fresh with all the updates. Now its just what you would expect from a high end gym. The best part of the changes for me was the bigger room for the spinning classes and the new bikes. Now I can see my RPM and my Power Rating on a big screen that everyone can see and you can see how you rank against everyone in the class. at first I didn’t like it because I was embarrassed having everyone see my RPM and Power Rating but now I like it because it makes you work harder and now I have gotten stronger. The gym also has yoga classes and I try to take some when I can. They also have personal trainers and have tons of great machines and they are brand new. They also offer boot camp classes as well. Everyone here is really friendly. If you live in this area and are looking for a great gym, I recommend you give Michael’s Body Scenes a chance. Oh, one more thing, you can now reserve you spinning bike the night before on there website so when they are busy you don’t have to worry about coming extra early to find a bike.

I have never tried the gym but was going to sign our family up until I read about the owners being arrested for child abuse. Sorry but that doesn’t work for us. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Thank goodness there are other gyms in the area.

Outstanding neighborhood gym. Big gym equipment with small, personal attention. I’ve been a member for years and lost tons of weight. Now I stay in great shape, have made friends and enjoy the long hours and personal attention. They may cost just a bit more than large box gyms, but well worth it if you want personal attention, great one-on-one coaches, lots of classes and convenient location. I wouldn’t go anyplace else. FYI — they also have a wonderful play area for children and are modernizing for 2015.

Very comfortable at this gym. The classes are good many different levels. The staff is helpful friendly hard working. There are many personal trainers. Cristina is the best! But there are many good ones. They have an on site cleaning crew who do a great job. I have been to a few local gyms and this is where I feel most comfortable. Would and do recommend.

The gym is small and old and has an older clientele. Their classes are taught by great instructors but again geared to an old clientele. Yet I went bc it was close to the house and the kids babysitters are great! When I tried to cancel, they gave me a hard time. They don’t care about their clients… just the money. I guess that’s the gym business.

I recently moved to Florida and have been trying different gyms trying to find the one that suits me the best. Michaels was great about giving me a free trial membership to attend the gym. After trying a few different gyms I learned that the staff at Michaels was the most friendly. The gym has everything you need. The one thing it has the others don’t is the Intensity workout. Other than a couple set up decision’s that I might do differently, Micheal’s is a great gym. In the end a different gym turned out to be the best for me but I certainly suggest trying this one out. You won’t be disappointed.

I just recently discovered this little g8em in Boca Raton. Fun classes for all levels of fitness from triathalon to beginner and gentle yoga. members have been there for a very long time and are still complimentary of the facility… Always a good sign. If I had one suggestion it would be that they stay open later at night to be more competitive with all of the other gyms in the area doesn’t open until 11 or 12 for us young, working type. Pricing for membership is competitive and you can trial the gym for a week. The other downside is the judgmentalism of at least 1 of the owners… Which I find very disturbing. Actually commented directly to me on my body type which is thin. I would very hard to maintain muscle mass, and did not appreciate the comments.

Great neighborhood gym. I’ve only been a member for a few months, but I’ve already found that the staff is friendly and are happy to answer any question you might have and the equipment is well-kept and not too difficult to learn how to use. It’s not a huge sized gym, but I think that makes it much easier to navigate the different areas of fitness(cardio, free weights, strength training machines, Spinning room, aerobics studio, etc.). It’s also a very clean gym, from the fitness areas to the locker rooms. I don’t know all about some of the other amenities and services they offer(I usually just go to work out), but I know there are quite a lot of them, including a variety of exercise classes for all ages. Overall, I can say this is a great neighborhood gym and is definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a good health club in Boca.
